About This File

This is the first of what I hope will be many uploads to the STEX in the Calgary Suburban Collection (CSC). I have always been frustrated by the lack of suburban realism ingame, because although suburbs are renowned for repetition, they generally have more than three house designs.

I am currently working on a series of bi-level houses. These aren't very big, and are R$ ingame, but they are not to be considered slum houses by any means; they are starter homes. This house can hold 12 R$ sims, so as to fit Maxis's weird population scale and grow fairly frequently.

This house has no dependencies and is Rush Hour compatible.

Finally, the stats:

Wealth: R$

Capacity: 12

Style: Houston and Euro only, as this is a new house

Lot size: 1x2

Bulldoze cost: 107

Garbage: 1

Power: 1

I think the texturing is great! Glad to see this finally done, on top of the fact that its suburban friendly. We can never get enough houses in SC4 so any contribution is welcome!

The textures are actually quite nice, at least from this view. Keep it up, the idea is great and the work is good.... glad to see that some good starting BATters still exist on this site.

I've been looking forward to this release. It looks great. Fantastic job. I think you've got the textures just about right, and I know how much work you've put into that. I mostly use the Euro & Houston tilesets so this is perfect for my building style. I'm definately looking forward to your next few!

Ah, finally it's released! This building might be unspectacular, but it could actually be the highest quality BAT that's been released lately. BATs like these add variety and interest to the game in a very subtle and unobtrusive way, but in the end I feel it pays off more than shiny skyscrapers that don't really fit in. Great job, and looking forward to seeing more from you!

Forgive me, but which one in the picture is this house? I'd prefer the left one, but the right one suits the "slum" description more... I'm confused.
