About This File

Lot Description: Tuckley Aire Corporation: TAC Heliport’s Division production by Prometheus007. Designed to fit in with most mid and or downtown, technical and industrial areas. This facility will carry on corporate air charters, mop up regional travel needs and carry on mail distribution services.

Lot Attributes: - Size: 10x10 Hex Lot Stimulates demand in line with the Airport Tram file (and airports generally), however I have decreased the demand for jobs and increased demand for amenities. - Demand Increase: Jobs – 100$, 50$$ and 20$$$ - Demand Increase: Amenities – 100$, 200$$ and 300$$$ - Requisite: Water - Yes - Requisite: Power - Yes - Requisite: Zone – No - Requisite: SC4 Deluxe Version - Yes - Other: Wealth Types - $, $$ and $$$ - Other: Tested SC4 – No - Other: Tested SC4RH - No - Other: Tested SC4D – Yes

Lot Concept: My first lot and first upload to Simtropolis. I wanted to create a functional airport as an alternative to the in-game airport / heliport options. I hunted around for a base lot to carry on development and Suplado!’s Airport Tram file was suggested by the STEX Airport Team. We eagerly await the release of the BSC Team’s developer *.dat’s, already in the pipeline to spread our wings in so far as CTD avoidant development. Until I can get enough hours behind me in ILive’s phenomenal Reader program I am not able to start producing lots under differing locations, unique ID’s etc. So please put up with me developing on the Tram file for awhile. TAC Heliport is really a test case for me and essentially a learning curve to produce slightly better and more functional solutions in the future. So I welcome any comments you may have. TAC is named after my partner who is a veritable angel for putting up with the many hours I devote to SC4.

Lot Credits: TAC Heliport would not have been possible without the creative talents of the following development teams, designers and associate designers –

Core Development - - Pilotdaryl (R&D) (Props & Textures) - Ace_bovenopdeberg (R&D) (Props & Textures) -

One wonderful lot, no doubt, but a very heavy load of dependencies to slow down any computer for many of us. Two thumbs though for the effort and quality. Imagine I have 900 mb's of depends and not even half of these.......

This looks actually excellent for somone who plays a lot with airports and not much else. Keep it up, in hope you will bring us something one day with lesser depends.

Thank you all for your valued comments. I am looking at the Unique ID Instance issue and perhaps a revised Airport Developer exemplar similar to Swamper77 at present. I hate dependencies as much as anyone, but again I was just getting my feet wet. I will try to isolate constituents to enclose a merged dat file as support in forthcoming releases. Thanks again!

still too much information in the description and the readme links do not work at all, 4/10 from me and its still not for me sorry.... This is my opinion and I bet it will also get the axe....

I wouldn't recommend doing this: "I will try to isolate constituents to enclose a merged dat file as support in forthcoming releases. Thanks again!" As it violates the terms that most (if not all) of those dependencies are distributed under, i.e. that they are not to be repackaged in any way, but should be referenced as a dependency instead. I am fairly certain that the people who create these things would not look at all favourably upon you if you did repackage them.

"I hate dependencies as much as anyone, but again I was just getting my feet wet." I agree with what freedo said, You appear to be a new modder/lotter and maybe should open a thread in the forums for comments before uploading. Please DO NOT include any props/models that are not yours in an upload as that is plagiarism and carries a possible STEX ban.

Like the developer files this installs to C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\TAC Aviation\ and so it is not even recognised by SC4. You need to start a thread for your projects and get some beta testers before releasing as otherwise there will be a lot of CTDs and ruined cities and regions.

Why do you do this? ANYONE can make that, it's so annoying when people just release stuff for the heck of it. Why not actually MAKE your own BAT, then release it. 2/10 (serves no purpose).
