About This File

- YOKIO BAY -

Located in the far east, in front of the East China Sea, there is Yokio Bay.

Yokio Bay is a fictional asian region done as a collage of various asian maps founded on STEX and with the mspaint.exe's tools. I do it to place a big metropolitan area with three or four main cities and a lot of suburbs... Shangai in front of Tokio.

I used mspaint.exe to draw and then procesed it with photoimpact.exe (elevations).

I created it with SC4Mapper.exe without problems...

Features:

> It had a lot of manmade island for urban development, airports and land conections.

> Lots of straight coast and plain land for canals, embankments, breakwaters and ports development.

> Mainly flat region with natural coast, rivers and lagoons.

> Custom config.bmp adapted to the region (mainly medium size cities because my computer is a little low).

> 7,5 by 12 big cities region (1921 x 3071 pixels).

> 312 cities (290 with firm land).

I used part of the these maps, cutting their shapes without the elevations and pasting them in my map...

It's a nice map, just not in my taste and some real pictures, by that I mean in game pictures of how it looks would have been nice.

Flame: "Lots of straight coast and plain land for canals, embankments, breakwaters and ports development." Great map, I think I'll try it!

This is a great looking map and promises great gameplay for every type of player. I will give this map a shot with this new CAM mod I found.

The map looks nice, but when I try to save the .bmp to my regions folder and check it out in game, the region has all the city spaces right, but they're just blank plains.

Mark_Swean: With SC4MAPPER create a new region from a grayscale image, you need the .JPG and the CONFIG.BMP files to save the region...

Appears to be almost entirely underwater when generated in the built in maxis thing. Do I need plugins etc? I tried to install sc4mapper, but installing on Win7 is a nightmare, it involves moving my documents, installing some old dlls and a whole load of other nonsense. I remember there was a height plugin thing with varying heights, but not sure which one (250m, 500m 1000m etc) i'd use with this map. Anyone have any ideas?
