About This File

As requested by sepsis.
The monument of Karl Marx, located in Chemnitz (former Karl-Marx-Stadt), Germany.
Over seven metres high, the bronze sculpture on its granite base dominates the city centre. The massive head of Karl Marx, the work of Russian sculptor Lew Kerbel, is one of the landmarks of Chemnitz. Nicknamed "Nischel", the monument was ceremoniously unveiled on this spot in 1971. It survived Reunification unscathed, together with the stone plaque adorning what is now the tax offices behind it and bearing the words "Workers of the world, unite" in four languages.

No dependencies.
Hope you like it.

Creathir you really do need to educate your self more before making bold proclamations like that. Communism has never been applied in a true manner intended by Marx-Engels. You do realize that The good ole U.S of A is a Capitlaism/Socialism mix right? Read up on it then look at your statements.

creathir: I don't know about that. This is only my 2nd "communist statue" and to my knowledge there's only 1 more on the STEX (Lenin's). I made many more statues that have nothing to do with communism. What upset me is that your reasons were the "oppressive regime". In that case you should be upset about statues of Julius Caesar (a dictator), and Cleopatra, etc. And what about BATs of the gallows or the guillotine? Why r u so upset about communism specifically?

Besides, it's just simply so completely besides the point... You should be commenting on the BAT and not making political comments, especially uninformed ones.

Great job! Being from America, and an educated person, I take offense for the comments creathir made. No US monuments on the Stex? Well there is the Marine Iwo Jima, WTC, not too mention all the Washington DC landmarks that came with the game. It upsets me that people can't look at things for what they are, and have to make something out of nothing. I think this is a beautiful replica to the real life original. (By the way creathir, try reading some of Marx's works)

I love Karl Marx, but this statue does no justice to the man, the legend, the philosopher and the god that was Karl Marx. I appreciate and congratulate you on the effort though. ;) "Workers of the World Unite!"

Keep in mind that the game is already loaded with statues and monuments of the United States, western countries, and capitalism in general (famous malls, skyscrapers, etc.). There's no reason to make a mod for something that's already in the game. Just my .02

Not all people hate communism.. When an american sees the word communism he thinks oppression. The thought behind socialism is to get the society more equal.. When has that ever been thought in america? Great statue
