Welcome to Moritzplatz!
This BAT is based on the street facades of those two buildings at Moritzplatz in the Berlin district Kreutzberg. They are typical late 19th century building of the not too fancy art, with the facades clustered with signs.
For the information of those who not speak German and therefore not understand the signs, the left building provides a pawnbroker’s shop and a company at street level named “Loeser & Wolff” (just two ordinary family names). On the right building are several signs promoting “Möbel’s Furniture Factory” offering full furnishings of apartments. There is also a perfumery store and another small business whose sign was to blurry in the photo for me to interpret.
The old photo comes from www.bildindex.de – a great source for anyone searching for pictures of german architecture (basic German skills are needed). I wold like to point out that the back buildings are not modelled after the real buildings, I had not enough data on those so I made them primarily to fit a city I currently work on.
The two buildings stand together on a 2 x 3 lot. They come both as growable and ploppable lots. The growable version is a stage 5 commercial service building providing jobs for 205 medium wealth sims. The ploppable version is found in the landmarks menu. It has no cost but brings no revenue except the looks.
