UPDATED:
Fixed the column as someone has suggested, narrower at the top.
Changed the night light to a more orangey color.

Monumento aos Heróis da Guerra Peninsular
(Monument to the Heroes of the Peninsular War)
Situated in Porto, Portugal.

In the middle of the large Rotunda da Boavista (Boavista's Roundabout) is this monument
celebrating the victory of the English and Portuguese over Napoleon's armies.
In the monument, the lion represents Britain defeating the French eagle.

I finally decided to model this great monument. I've always wanted to get down to it but never really knew how. After many hours of headaches I've finally finished something I'm happy with.
I'll be attempting other monuments form Porto, my hometown, soon.
No dependencies.
Hope you like it.

Obrigado, Porto is one of my favorite cities...I was more only a few Kilometers from there, now if someone, hopefully would bat the Terminal from Sa Carneiro Airport in Porto, with everything beeing transit enabled of course...Do you have more Portuguese stuff coming?

MayorTim: Actually the column is exactly to scale, as I had a front picture of the real statue behind the model and checked for the exact proportions. Maybe it looks that way because it's at an angle.
