Fire Sticks, part of the Smalltown, USA Series by JBSimio

Fire Sticks Pool Hall is an excellent example of the revitalization effort in Smalltown.  The location was originally the first fire station in town, housing two water wagons and three teams of horses.  The station was abandoned when motorized fire vehicles were introduced only because the original doors were too small for the trucks.  The building was boarded up and sat vacant for years, although some remnants of its history remained.  Parts of the hay lift can still be seen in the back over what is now an attic vent.  Recently, the structure has been reborn as a pool hall and bar.  New walls and windows were installed inside the arched openings creating a seamless mix between the old and the new.  The owner honored his building’s history with interior decorations as well as a plaque out front commemorating the old fire house.

Fire Sticks is the seventh sixth release in the Smalltown, USA series.  This package contains both growable and ploppable versions of the building.  The ploppable version shares the same jobs, pollution, etc. as the growable.  The only differences are a plop cost of 1700 and bulldoze cost of 170.

Beautiful, keep them coming! There's plenty of skyscrapers to go around, but few builders seem to take as active an interest in the smalltown and ordinary stuff that you do, and so well too. I'm looking forwards to more small town shops and maybe residential solutions too!

Any chance of a fire station version of this? We need more W2W civics. 10/10 regardless. Beautiful.

Thanks everyone... this series has become more than I really expected and I appreciate it! @ACE - I think I could come up with a modified version, yes. Not sure why the idea didn't dawn on me earlier... brain fart, I guess ;-)

JB, this series is really great, and I thank you for sharing. Now that several have started to appear in the game, they give the neighborhoods a unique and very real personality. Great work! 10/10 needless to say.
