About This File

Barratt Townhouse

Barratt is one of the biggest volume housebuilders in the UK.  Go to any town in the UK and you are likely to find a Barratt estate or one by their competitors that looks exactly the same. For a nation obsessed with housing and design, the UK has unfortunately yet to bring the two together.

This townhouse is pretty representative of the style and is fairly typical of a townhouse built any time after 1995.  This is an R$$ property and comes on 1x2 and 1x3 lots.

Details of other lot stats and dependencies can be found in the readme.

This is an installer file.  The MAC version will appear in the BSC MAC archive very shortly.

42 R$$ - which is totally over the top compared to the real world, but matches the equivalent Maxis townhouses. Detailed stats are in the readme.

Nice for diversity, but I would have thought it to be a R$ lot. Anyway good work.

This is definitely more R$$ as it represents a suburban type premises, with RP's six house row or Ill Tonkso's blocks of flats (apartments) being more representative of UK R$

Great Building, I liked the way you made fun of the British Housing and Construction Industry! :-), New Houses are popping up everywhere in the UK.

This is a great design and adds a nice touch of variety. It looks exactly like what it is supposed to. Many thanks

Occupancy levels - the game engine does not cope well with tall houses - it thinks they should be apartment blocks. So Maxis townhouses have occupant levels of around 40. If I used a more realistic level this lot would NEVER GROW. That is the ONLY reason why it has the occupant levels it does.

This grows at just the right frequency in game, rp, and looks good amongst the Maxis stuff. I like this.

good clean UK barrat home RP - I think you have the pop count at 42 just right to let it grow within the game engine constraints at the correct frequency

Briiliantly bland!!! A great example of these mass-produced, dull, postmodern Barratt houses!
