About This File

This is Version 2!

I've felt that SC4 lacks power-transformers, like you may see in any major city, tucked away in some dark corner. These are used to distribute power from major overhead lines into the network system for your cities.

Being a transformer, there is a modest power gain (100MWh/month). There are minor down-sides (pollution and NIMBY effect for residential).

YES! about damn time! someone finially figgured out that those high tension powerlines just don't "dissapear" at the ends... they travel from power plants to transformers!

I downloaded this roughly 2 months ago (Ver. 1, perhaps?), and as far as filling the need for a substation in your local neighborhoods, commercial sectors, and to some extent, your smaller industrial areas, this lot fits the bill. Speaking as a substation serviceman, however, (cont.)

I should point out (for purposes of further edification, and NOT for compaint!) that substations do not actually produce any power, they merely transform it (high voltage to lower voltage, typically). Outstanding lot, very realistic, I use them everywhere in my regions!

I like it. Adds realism. A must have in a city and one that cost is mainly space - No pain, no gain.

All right. Good job, subgrav! SC4 needs a more detailed power infrastructure. A detailed power infrastructure is composed of more than just nine or ten different power plants and only one type of power pole, IMO.
