About This File

This is a map of Guadalajara, Mexico. It's scaled accurately. It's 35 by 41 km. Also, note that the water level has been fixed--as you can see, the above example image shows the water level was too high. Have fun!

Instructions: (VERY important note below)

If you don't have my plugins pack, download it here.

1) Place the import.dat plugin in your plugins folder, and remove any other height mod plugins... thanks to Andy80586 and lookinin for helping me create the mods.

2) Create a new folder called New York City in your ..My Documents/SimCity 4/Regions directory.
3) Download the config.bmp file and place it in the new folder
4) Download the guadalajara.jpg file and remember where you downloaded it to.
5) Run your SimCity 4 game
6) Open the Guadalajara Region
7) On your keyboard, press and hold down 'ctrl' + 'alt' + 'shift' + 'r'--this should bring up a dialogue box
8) Browse to the folder that you downloaded guadalajara.jpg to, find "guadalajara.jpg", and open this file.
9) This should start the rendering. BE PATIENT. This will likely take between 1 and 3 hours.
10) Have fun!

Well, I agree, but I spent hours trying to find out where Guadalajara (the actual city itself) was, and I found out that it should be right in the center of this map. No river runs through it...

I think the river should be closer to the center, but other than that it's great!

I am from Guadalajara, the second most important city in México. 4.7 million people and capital of Jalisco State that is almost 8 million people.

Santiango River is a river that runs at the north of Guadalajara in the bottom of a 1300 feet deep canyon. the so called Barranca de Huentitan. so no way that Guadalajara could be stablished near Santiago River.

Also, Guadalajara is 5000 (1500m) feet over sea level, and Santiago River is 3500(1100m) feet over sea level so ther is a diference of 400M 1500ft between the level of the river and the level of Guadalajara
