I'm in trouble. I'm looking for a streetlight on an elevated road. I am still using the original and am looking for a custom one like the one in the picture but couldn't find it. Please let me know where I can get this file. Thank you for your help.

This lamppost originally placed in 1909 used to have a twin on the other side of the New York Ed Koch bridge entrance. That lamppost vanished in the 1970s, but no one knew what had happened to it until it was found in a Department of Transportation signal yard in Queens last year. This mod replaces the game's default industrial/rural "light on a stick" with a more attractive... um... light on a stick. Similar in design to the wooden pole light commonly seen in-game in lower wealth, low density & industrial areas, the new light is taller to match other streetlights in the game. It also has a modified light cone that is more realistic and slightly softer in color. The light globes/bulbs are also illuminated in this new version. Once installed, this mod automatically replaces all occurances of the game default version in all your cities. No further action is required by you. If you wish to revert back to the game-default version at any time, just remove the mod file from your Plugins folder. The mod replaces both the normal and diagonal versions of the streetlight. It does not replace the double light version because... frankly... its just so damn ugly I haven't figured out what to do with it yet. Although designed for use with the MTP, it certainly is not limited to rural areas. This same light is used by the game in urban & industrial areas. ** This mod has no dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -

Updated June 02, 2005* The second version of Street Light Colour Pack features different streetlight colours foreach network type (roads, avenues, highways etc) and wealth levels, allowing to set the streetlight colour individually. This adds even more realism. This pack contains all lightcones included in the previous version (made by smoncrie and me) plus two additional lightcones (pale-white and bluish). Also included, a modified version of the lamp aura effect. Other additions are some fixes and improvements to the original Maxis lightpoles and lampposts. All lightcones are organised into a table with sample images in the README, so that you can compare them and pick the ones you like. View my other Posts on the STEX * A minor issue concerning the highway lights has been identified and fixed. This caused the medium-wealth road/street lights to have the light colour that was assigned to highways in some cases.- 46 Comments

EDIT: The second version has been released! Go Get It! The idea of changing the streetlight colour belongs to smoncrie. Two versions have been released, one featuring an orange, and another one with a lighter, more realistic colour. This second version also incorporated an attempted (but rather failed) improvement to the light emitted by lampposts. The original one emulates a halo (aura) rather than a light effect. This pack contains the older versions and three additional light cones made by me. Also included, a modified version of the lamp aura effect. They are organized into a table with sample images in the README, so that you can compare them and pick the one you like. View my other lots on the STEX- 19 Comments
