Glad to see these BATs still being pumped out. I've been trying to make cities with old-school architecture and these are a perfect fit. Looking forward to some great BATs to be released on top of the great ones released already.

Normally I play on zoom level 3 when playing my cities and zoom level 4 when I'm laying out the road networks in the beginning. However, I wanted to get a wide shot of my CBD on level 4 and... well... this happened. I adjusted the building draw speed thinking all the details might have overpowered my graphics card, but it ran perfectly fine and all the animations were even smooth. I panned the camera around and it looked even worse. If I zoom out to level 5 (which isn't a view I normally use anyway) the game crashes. Everything looks fine at 3 and lower and I haven't seen any BBBs, at least not in this city.

About 2 year ago, I was working on a BAT that never made it. This is the Shangri-La Hotel in Vancouver. I had the modelling down though the texturing and night lighting was giving me a headache. Also, my computer wasn't terribly strong back then so I could never fully render it. On top of that, I'm a perfectionist to the core and there were a few points that kept bugging me like crazy. I eventually lost interest and lost the file forever when my hard drive crashed. If I go back into BATing (there's slowly growing urge to), I'll start off with smaller buildings and work my way up so I don't get as frustrated.

I happen to have a picture of the 1001. I think the font looks pretty close. You could fine tune the shapes of the zeros, probably. Awesome work overall on the tower, nonetheless!

Great work everyone! Here's mine: Warning: It's 26 MB and at least 5000 x 4000 pixels. I can't really zoom out too far to take one single picture because of a zoom bug from one of the plugins. And because there's so many I'm really quite lazy on trying to find it.

I really think Israel is becoming an evil, or bossy for a less harsh word, and really I wished more action was done to hold Israel responsible. I sort of understand the history behind why Israel does all these attacks and why Hamas attacks, but really the more stories I hear out of there, the more deaths I hear about, the more incredibly stupid I think the people fighting are becoming. I wished something more was done to have Israel held accountable for it's aggressiveness.

Here's my most recent creation. Just with the eye candy.

I didn't really base this off any paticular intersection, I just started three different highways, dragged another through the center, and then to further make it complicated, the terminus of an avenue. Its fully functional. The "skipping" is from the game crashing while I was saving it one time, having me to redrag every single tile of roadway. But you get the gist of it.

Then. Now. What a difference 40 years makes, eh?

Wild guess, Chicago. It kinda looks like those bridge barriers would do nothing if a car smashed into them. Just a bad thought...

One is the PR House, and the other is from the ITS high wealth suburban packs, indeed pretty nice buildings if I say so myself.

My CBD which is still unfinished and may be expanded in the somewhat near future. (A warning to the Sims in the nice houses to the bottom right. )

I'd like to see more modern mid-rise wall2wall apartments/stores that are being built in London nowadays. Especially diagonal and ones that could fit on the avenue circles. London (18 MB warning!)

I build my highways in as Im building the city. I have a plan of what I want but I don't put it in stone. I somewhat base my layouts on what I read about how American highways were designed as routes out of the city in times of war during the 50s and/or 60s. I connect major areas like downtown, seaport, airport, etc., and then the highways just radiate out in different directions to the edges of the region. I also try to make the highways weave into the landforms and try to avoid creating parallel highways and loops only when it looks right. And I also try to not put a highway to closely parallel to an avenue unless I think it would look like a high volume traffic area. I kinda do the same with avenues, but instead of connecting places 3 city tiles apart, they connect everything within those 3 city tiles with each other and the highway. Like one area of commercial and residential to another one or industrial. And then roads kind of fill up the rest. Connecting local neighborhoods, etc. I sure do sound like a paid city planner, don't I? Here's that represented visually. Oh yea, that dotted line....its where I was planning on building the highway, but ran out of money.

I think I mess with photoshop too much. The CBD of Bayview with a 3D cinematic feel, I kinda went and plopped the baseball stadium almost as soon as I downloaded it. I think it fits in very nice. At first I thought it would have been too big.
