Very nice, as usual, thank you very much. I slightly miss some minor details however, trashcans, roof-stuff and so forth, but maybe it's only me, I do realise that realistic modelling differs from what is usually done in sc4 (we expect to see more detail than may be considered realistic). The night versions are also masterful, a true work of art. Thanks

That's very well done. About the roof texture, I have to defend you. Many people say that the roof has to be as dirty as it can, because that's realistic. No, that's not. If you have a look on any aerial photograph taken above a city, you will notice that most roofs are quite clean and plain. Indeed, maintenance workers do keep them nice and tidy. So I think that your work is absolutely realistic. Thank you!

gosh, that's absolutely marvellous. i know how hard is to texture wooden buildings, but you did a stupendous job.
  10. Keep in mind that it takes a while for a fully qualified workforce generation to become available. Many players don't keep an eye on the social structure of the population, but this is extremely important. HT provides jobs for the qualified part of the population, and your sims will be in their twenties when they leave university, that means that you have to wait for that. And another thing: quite obviously you can attract HT industries by lowering their taxes.
  11. Old Water Tower as Roundabout Filler

Sorry Agregoli, but I really don't know the answer. I haven't experienced such problems you know. I hope you find the solution!
  12. Hi! Thank you very much for the detailed tutorial, it helped me a lot. Sorry for my delay, but unfortunately I had to reinstall everything on my computer, and I had some troubles configuring the wireless net. Again, thanks for the tutorial, and I just want to add that your newest creations are also marvelous indeed - quite as usual. )
  13. Old Water Tower as Roundabout Filler

Thank you all for your kind comments! A few more things I'd like to add: I admit that the building may look way too big compared to the in-game water tower. But that one is actually a quite small one in its appareance. I think after comparing the sizes of windows and doors to other buildings, it doesn't appear off-scale. I was thinking if it needed some shrinking, but eventually I decided to leave it. The original building is located in my hometown, Budapest, Hungary.

DESCRIPTION This is my very first BAT, essentially an old water tower, which suits well in the center of one-way roundabouts. I hope you will like it, but if you have any suggestions or remarks, just feel free to share them with me. All feedback are welcome, of course FACTS Building the tower costs 400 simoleons. Produces 3500 cubic meters of water monthly. The tower costs 75 simoleons a month. The LOT does not have any dependencies. INSTALLATION Just copy the contents of the .zip file into your Plugins directory.
  15. i was talking about the no. 1, but if you like to add anything more about making no. 2., I will read that also I've been into batting for few weeks, and the very first thing I realized is that - like you said it - it does require a lot of time and work. But so far, that hasn't took away my enthusiasm
