    I did a google search, and a search through the forums to find marijuana businesses, farms, stuff of that nature. All I currently found was the Legalise Marijuana Ordinance. Which I downloaded, but also would love to see updated for more added realism. I feel for its time released 9 years ago, that was pretty realistic as no one knew what to expect in the country as a result of such a thing, but we now know alot of those benefits or negativities would not come to fruition. In any case, Id just love marijuana or hemp farms, hemp textile buildings, Marijuana semi-trucks, some herb and coffee shops, cannabis and lobster restaurants, medical marijuana facilities... Or anything else anyone has created marijuana related. If such a thing exists.
  2. Ok, so I have many questions. For example, I did a search on the STEX with the word "Airport" and all I see is individual pieces. My question is, is there only individual pieces to download, or is there a full package somewhere that I am not seeing wrapped up together with some other stuff and perhaps thats why im not finding it? I couldve swore I seen a few years ago on a youtube video (dont even remember who) mention an airport and or seaport pack among many other things. Also, with all the different little airport pieces, none of them are made by the same person it appears, so my next question is, are they compatible with each other? are they even functional for it to matter if they are compatible? Also when I search the term airport on the STEX, and sort by relevancy, there is police stations, maps and stuff nothing to do with airports, so there is a lot of work to do. Not complaining, I have no suggestions on making anything better lol, just noting how my lack of focus, overly confused ass is here! Im sure there is something very simple that I am missing. I ran across a cul-de-sacs thing to download, and realised, I used to have some sort of cul-de-sacs on the older version of NAM i had. and realised it is no longer there in my game. is that accurate, did they remove that? I noticed the removed alot of things from it actually, unless it didnt install correctly? I updated from version 32 I believe Regarding PLEX.. Im assuming thats nothing I need as that is for creating stuff correct? I can barely tie my shoes and breathe at the same time, ya know what im saying? Thank you in advance for any replies or views or pointing in the right direction. I will delete this in the case of being shown similar threads.

  4. ok, now im curious about a question regarding this. If I put down the (hbs?) walmart from my civic/landmarks tab, the job says it employs 480(?) people. Itll even say, jobs 454/480 for example, but then you use the route query and it says on 34 cars are going there? Any idea, whats going on there? Not sure how or what I would search for that?... I may as well update you all who have helped me in this thread and indirectly helped me with all their material. My plugins folder is currently at 750mb (game still moves slow as molasses). So you could imagine as a beginner the trouble I was headed into. But I was ok with it, because I was and am at least confident in my ability to read instruction and execute 9/10. My game got to the point where it started crashing in 30-60 seconds. By then I gained enough knowledge in the month talking to you guys, navigating this forum and reading lots of posts, I dont remember how but I ran into the sc4fix.dll. I read a few pages and the comments and how it worked and why it worked, although I think if i remember correctly simmaster07 didnt remember why or how it worked but that it did work and cured the small pox or whatever. I upgraded to version 640 (or so I thought) and put sc4fix.dll in plugins but game would not load file. Found out the the 640 update wouldnt apply to an already modified simcity1.dat. I then moved all my plugins, downloads, and regions to my desktop, found the GOG.com SimCity 4 version 641 for $5 as of yesterday, uninstalled my old one, installed new game version for $5 placed everything back in folder, and wa-lah! game hasnt crashed for hrs last night and this morning! Hoooo-Ray! In the whole process of that, My internet stopped working. I kept messing with my router and modem, then one day Malware bytes (which I forgot I had) ran some diagnostics all on its own on my firefox browser, and prompted me to change settings within the browser, which I did, and suddenly my internet was restored all from that. im flabbergasted and confused, but whatever, just happy it works. New problems, again as stated, is speed is terrible. So far ive already moved all plugins no deeper than 2 sub folders for faster loading (in theory anyway? Because I never knew that was an issue before this, but it makes sense) I have just a few specialty items 3 folders deep. It is only files the game needs too, as all the picture texts and whatever other files are in the downloads folder in a very similar subfolder structure. not sure what else I can do to help the game or pc. Im gonna have to uninstall alot of programs and figure out how to remove bloatware and all this other stuff that is slowing the pc down. For example in the past ive messed with the startup files for the pc and disabled nearly everything and yet those programs still start upon startup of laptop. a bunch of autoupdates keep searching for updates even though I keep specifiying to them in their respective menus not to do so... Also, new minor problem, alot of my parking lots are disappearing from my custom lots now. I can delete the building and build them again with success, im guessing it has something to do with those shk parking lots or whatever the names of those are. Just wondering if this was the beginning of texture pox? I didnt even start reading about that... I was so far down the rabbit hole I had to pass that one by. If anyone thinks it may be that, I will easily read about it.

    I agree, its an ugly building, yet it fits in the denver skyline. And I dont mean that as a diss, I love denver and think it is beautiful. Its my dream place to move. Good job on this building and all of your buildings. This looks like the real thing.

    Just curious, can the NAM roads or avenues go underneath it? My guess is no.. Ill download it anyways. its fricken cool looking. I know this, and alot of your stuff is older but ive downloaded almost 75% of your stuff. im going through all 12 pages of what you have. you are a valuable person and asset to this game.

    Yes, but not quite, because that is outdated. What I mean by that is, thats a makeshift pot farm in the middle of no where, much like how moonshiners operate. but theres legal distilleries everywhere nowadays, as there also is legal marijuana farms and facilities. I guess I should include the word legal. Ill edit my post lol. I guess all Im trying to do is create a place like Denver and the state of colorado if that makes sense.     The responses on here are incredible. Very uninformed opinions from both sides. Thats ok, its understandable, just hate to see everyone judge each other and see any separation over stuff like this, especially when there actually is a middle ground. I read and have read and listened to material from the left, right, center, the extremes, and authoritarian perspectives for a decade. Marijuana is not the cure for cancer, though it can help alleviate pain and increase appetite after chemotherapy, and it could help reduce cancer spreading in conjunction with a healthier lifestyle. Marijuana does not increase Physical health, especially through means of smoking, although it can be conducive to a healthier lifestyle. Arnold smoked marijuana to lift weights and become a multi mr. olympian body building champion for example. Sam harris, a neuro-scientist/psychologist/philosopher /Podcaster has used marijuana and psychadelics and has suggested with proper care these could all benefit someones life tremendously. There is still a black market for marijuana due to its prohibition status on a federal level, which causes all kinds of problems like illegal pot farmers in the middle of the woods who poison local water streams, and damage the land tremendously because they simply dont care what they do. Much like moonshiners. There needs to be regulation put in place to stop things of this nature from happening. Also concerning lack of regulation is how people can currently purchase extremely harmful kinds of thc products. Marijuana has never killed anyone ever in the history of knowable man, however the envelope is being pushed further and further because of lack of regulation. Not to mention we have to keep shady drug dealers around which can lead to tampered adultered marijuana. Marijuana does not cause psychological problems, unless you happen to be the small minority of people who are predisposed to mental health issues. Marijuana can help people break through a myriad of psychological problems including existential crisises, and other types of depressions, anxieties, and ocd conditions. Marijuana doe not make people lazy. This comment is anecdotal, but lazy people are lazy people. Marijuana just helps you be the lazy person you wanted to be. Its a focusing tool actually. This is why you are seeing a vast number of young adults making money gaming. Marijuana for me personally helped me breakthrough in H.S. and turn my D-F average grades my freshman-sophomore years, into c-b and occasional a's my final two years as I played catch up with my credits. All this when I didnt know I had adhd. I couldnt focus on anything until I learned how to effectively use marijuana. I stopped using marijuana in my early 20s and have started again when I turned 34 for the past 3 years now. Marijuana is not addictive as I routinely smoke for 1-2 months, and then take 2-4 months off. It can become mentally addictive, I will give anyone that. But so can fast food, cheeseburgers, little debbie snack cakes, and sitting on the couch watching tv. Its a mindset that you ultimately control. If you do not practice self control, then anything can become a mental crutch. I Never use before or during my job, I never drive when I am stoned either. When I do use marijuana for the 1-2 month sessions, I am far more productive at home. Ive done all my home renovations (Major renovations. completely gutted my current 1923 home, rewired everything, moved all my plumbing fixtures and ran new plumbing, moved gas lines, and hvac ducts within walls. Demo'ed a non load bearing wall, blew open 2 entry ways between 3 rooms, increasing the load bearing weight the headers had to handle, replaced all my windows, and currently in the process of finishing my basement, and making it more efficient for laundry, storage, and workshop use. Ive done all this following code, and have passed all my inspections, with minimal suggestions and ALL BY MYSELF! No help from anyone. Because I didnt want it. Because I am focused as F*** when I am on the marijuana. I could go one for several hours on the topic. But I am not trying to convince anyone. Believe what you want. believe that marijuana is the cure for everything, or believe it is the demon of the world. Your ignorance is all you have to contend with in the end. As for this ordinace. I would like to see an update. This was a nice addition it seems for the time 9 years ago. I commend the creator for a novel attempt at this. After seeing what legal marijuana looks like now in a good portion of the country, I would say the revenue brought in is probably more accurate than not. However I wouldnt say education and health would increase. I would leave them normal. I can see the argument for the 2, however A mass improvement on the 2 categories without mass proper education on the topic is realistically not going to lead to positive effects. Also dont think the mayor rating should decrease, especially considering the expansion of commerce and industry, less victimless crimes and prisoners as a result of a ordinace like this. I am not complaining. Again for the time this was released I feel like this was a great addition to the game and I will download currently regardless of what I think about it. Thank you for the content and the opportunity to clear the air... and replace it with marijuana smoke...

    I do have one question. I noticed in the pic and in my own game, you cannot get the parking lots to connect to roads, is this correct? Well anyways, very nice as is with all buildings from this person Ive found so far.
  11. Ok so I reogranised my plugins folder, made an identical layout in my downloads folder for all zips and readmes and whatnot. I ran all 39 Cleanitol I have, Only found 5 total files of conflict that were moved. The game is no longer pink. I tried placing every item in game through menu and then through LopPlop cheat. The CP flora and logs are only things that dont work, and all make game crash. I tried twice to verify it wasnt a fluke. It took a long time to get KOSC parks volume 2 and Paengs Parks working because I had missed like 5 dependencies for each of them. but all is well other than those CP flora menu items. Im guessing it came from cp_essentials which ill have to look for a readme on that and see If i missed any dependencies or files to remove. Man this is becoming more fun that the game itself quite honestly. Just learning something new. Im fully immersing myself in this. Go Blue

I have more questions or statements with that 1 so like little flowers or light posts and stuff that are on the lot would be an example? 2 theoretically those content items could still work, they just wouldnt look right or as intended though correct? or no? 3 i just downloaded those the other day but i thought i ran across another file that said to replace those, but i dont remember if i downloaded it or not. 4 I will read it after I finish reading and understanding this commuter travel bug I never noticed and how it affects what I do. I am into transportation, but I admit I am a little blissfully ignorant to alot that goes on with it and how involved it is in this game and in real life. this stuff is fascinating to me. Im currently reading corinas post about it, and naomis post about being mindful of it in her new york region.

  14. Yea i know. you guys keep telling me that. old habits die hard. Ive never been good on forums because of my redundancy, but im at least aware of it and aware thats how most forums operate from my understanding. Again I appreciate your guys/gals kindness and patience with telling me the same stuff over and over again. I got problems lol... I did not know that about file paths. Iv never encountered anything like that, but Ive never done anything this extensive with creating folders inside of folders inside of folders... its like the movie inception in my plugins folders but ill get it under control lol. I have a 2TB external HD that I back pictures and everything up on. Although I wonder about the quality of it sometimes. Im not a fan of online hard drives either. I have a new problem. after loading quite a list of dependencies, my game has turned pink. Everything works fine except one other minor problem that im guessing is irrelevant, but ill get to in a minute. Im not worried about this because Im ok with pink grass. No im kidding, Im confident I can figure it out. Im guessing its just a matter of reloading all the file delete lists for the CleanitolTM again. I kinda thought while loading all the dependencies, it was strange I didnt run across a single file that needed moved, but realised it was because I havent gotten any of those dependencies yet. well then I realised with only a couple of more installs left there was probably a particular order I shouldve installed the dependencies to ensure I delete the right files. In any case Ill have to relaod the files lists or view the readmes and hunt them down in my currently semi organised folder. I am fine with this, as it is immersing me into the thick of things. Just like when my furnace went out in the dead of winter 2 years ago and I had to diagnose the problem, find the particular part to purchase and figure out how to install the part despite all wire color codings were completey different than my furnace which took a grand total of 2 weeks and heating house and pipes with 3 space heaters at 10-30 degrees F outside. Thats immersion. Thats when I figure shit out and gain knowledge. this is my time to shine! lol Oh yea other problem is, the pathways in the KOSC parks arent seeming to show up, which again im assuming is a file that needs removed. It will take me a few days to get back to everyone on my completion of this. I work all fri-mon and am going to notre dame saturday (a 4 hr drive)
  15. yea I read that folder. I was going into that thread hoping for a direct way to be told how to organise, but obviously everyone has their own style. Dont know why I was thinking that. Luckily I am great at logistics and organisation. So this will be easy for me. ok another question, so all my mmp's, textures, props and whatnot just from BSC and other creators are all in one folder by creator first right. would it be wise to reorganise them into mmp, texture, and prop folders Instead and then separate by creator? I know again its personal preference. but because I still dont quite understand these files, not sure if you guys got any insight if that would cause problems?
  16. I didnt want to bump a year old thread (although I already did without thinking first thanking people for the wealth of suggestions to content). I have an easy to answer question about organising plugin folders. Before I do so, I noticed all the readme's for the dependencies I accumulated such as all the BSC props, textures, mmp's and other miscellaneous mods, they all mention not moving folder and files so to update easier in the future.. Is this something that is looked over for better organisation? I also saw IndianaJoe mention how much content has tapered off which makes me think that would be a good reason to organise How I want because future updates on dependencies will be few and far between? Is my thinking correct? Also, what do you do with your zip files and installers? Do you put them in a separate download folder, or stick them in with the unzipped folder, Or create a folder for the ones that didnt come with an unzipped folder?

I think I need visual references because im not understanding much of what I am reading. However, the main reason for commenting was because of all the links to content on here!   18. It can make a zip file? you mean the people who upload the files to LEX can make a zip file with multiple dependencies? Or the site itself compiles them together in one zip because it recognises what youre downloading and knows to put others together? yea im confused beyond all belief lol but its ok. I just gotta keep reading. Ill be reading for weeks I think. Because the one BSC dependency I downloaded from LEX had a link to a dependency here at simtropolis which would be that kings community parks pack. Also I stumbled upon on another a few days ago, that linked back to her at simtropolis for an updated version, but the updated version was further updated again back at sc4devotion. there was alot of jumping back and forth and I think corina even made mention about the one at LEX was the updated one but may be missing files from the ones here at simtropolis. So i just left them all alone. Yea I hear ya on making a clear path for myself in the future. If you guys know how to do all this the easiest way possible without getting in my own way later on, im all for it. just hard making sense of all this. Theres probably more required reading Im gonna have to do before I go much further. I got another 10 browser tabs open just today and I cannot read them all fast enough lol.
  19. I guess to you guys this would be alot. I just feel like its never bothered me that much. I got the crime dens unearthed advisory occasionally, but my crime rate to capture rates were further out of sync. something like 40 crimes to 10 arrests, so I made a grid of police protection and its been going strong since without any complaints. I figured this amount of crime was still low in comparison to the population rate. I live in toledo ohio, roughly 150k-200k people... let me tell you all, the crime rate is much much worse here in real life lol. I figured as long as its in the yellow, its just misdemeanor crimes. you guys are all probably laughing at me right now lol. I still have great middle class areas, a few small but beautiful ghettos, and a couple fancy neighborhoods that have not moved away on me for about 100 yrs of game time. I build this city with nothing But NAM btw.

  21. haha.. well.. maybe im mistaken about those numbers.. ill take a gander and post some pics. because with the date views mostly everything is in yellow at very worst, and is minimally scattered through the city. but I get what youre saying. kiosks will not get the job done. naomi did post a police station that maybe remedies that problem, but even still without it, I just want to try it out and see what it looks like with giant industry. if it became a problems I would just bulldoze them or delete the files. I do appreciate the warning. To naomi, the list of buildings you posted including the suburban highschool, require a few dependencies including kings community & regional park pack volume 2 which includes a ton of its own dependencies, not sure if you were aware of that. I have a question about that, would it conflict with Paengs Parks? I have not installed his either but then my next question is, which would other prefer, the numbers dont say much about which one is better, I hate to put anyone on the spot like that, and I understand if no one wants to pick favorites

I went back through your first post, I downloaded almost everything madhatter made, and I will spend some time going through SGs also. it appears that individual also has some stellar stuff! Heck yea, I cant wait to download a brewery! This is so exciting. I downloaded that IMlot pack and the dependencies. I used the LotPlop cheat to peak at them. They are big, they are neat, but I realised they are just big industrial yards essentially and still not quite what I wanted. I want big!!!! Like Jeep FCA Manufacturing or something like that. I hear what youre saying with crime. But I still want. Im having a hard time finding those. As far as the crime goes, Ive always kept a nice web of police protection, and always make sure theres enough jail space overall. I always get yelled at by advisors for over policing. well in any case, in a few cities I have country club, airport, university, and about 150-200k populations and crime is pretty good according to graphs. something like 20-30 crimes committed to 15-25 arrests made per month when you zoom down to the 1 yr graph line. however I can imagine what you and Naomi were saying about this would get much more unattainable when you start closing in on half a million people? Ill deal with it then! lol. Realistically, If i had some giant industrial lots, I would put police kiosks near alot of them, because there would be security and guard shacks in real life anyways.

  24. Omg... This is unbelievably complicated. Im trying to use SC4devotion to download the BSC dependencies. I registered for an account. But when I go to download the file its requiring me to login again but it wont except my login. but yet im on the home page as blacksugar419. I dont understand.... ok I see you have to have another separate account for the LEX... I go to sign up for the LEX with my email and it says im already registered... boulderdash!
  25. A post someone else made on simtropolis asking for large industrial buildings, someone mentioned theres a large collection at the LEX. However, It doesnt appear I can do a search on the LEX. I can see and browse the LEX page, but no search bar anywhere. would that be because search is only enabled after signing up?
