Description: One area of policy in recent years focuses on the enormous potential for fixing budget shortfalls by legalizing - and then heavily taxing - medicinal and recreational marijuana use. It's up to Sim Nation's mayors to determine if the balance is right for their city. This facility will bring in §400 of tax revenue for just 1 tile of space each month and assist with health, but will also drive up petty crime and depress land values in the area. But, if your Sims are recovering from surgeries, migraines, or papercuts, the doctor is in and a prescription is on the way! There are two lots - one basic lot for those who value "no dependencies" status, the second adding vending machines and a line out the door. Inspired by the dispensaries at Venice Beach, CA. Stats: Plop Cost: 4200 Bulldoze Cost: 420 Revenue: 400 Jobs: 10 CS$ Wealth: Low Lot Size: 1x1 Crime Effect: 15 over 10 Health Effect: 15 over 10 Power Consumed: 4 Water Consumed: 8 Pollution: 3/1/8/0 @ 2/2/0/0 Dependencies: Nothing for the basic lot. For the lot with the line out the door and the vending machines: OWW Resource Pack 2. Thanks @Kloudkicker for the preview feedback -
I did a google search, and a search through the forums to find marijuana businesses, farms, stuff of that nature. All I currently found was the Legalise Marijuana Ordinance. Which I downloaded, but also would love to see updated for more added realism. I feel for its time released 9 years ago, that was pretty realistic as no one knew what to expect in the country as a result of such a thing, but we now know alot of those benefits or negativities would not come to fruition. In any case, Id just love marijuana or hemp farms, hemp textile buildings, Marijuana semi-trucks, some herb and coffee shops, cannabis and lobster restaurants, medical marijuana facilities... Or anything else anyone has created marijuana related. If such a thing exists.

Making weed pay. The real cost of this program has not yet been realized, however. Once the bloom is off the 'sage' things may just settle down as the novelty wears off. Meanwhile, I think the cash should be spent on renewing and expanding infrastructure. A side note: The newer term for Marijuana is '420'. All kinds of excuses have been given for this, but let's not forget that this is an important historical date. April 20th is Hitler's birthday. Read into that what you will.

Youthful pot use may lead to bad things for adults. 'In adolescence, the brain is still fine-tuning how different areas, such as learning and memory, interact and it appears that marijuana use alters that process. "When you disrupt this, actually, development, during adolescence, notably through cannabis use, you can have very pervasive, very negative effects in the long-term, including on mental health and addiction risk,"' See article for gory details.
