I didn't say roundabout didn't count now, did i? It's just sound......unusual....when someone asked about something that will lower desirabilty and the others answered "roundabout". Seriously, never heard of it before. Roundabout isn't always lower desirability, that what was trying to say, sir. -
You can zone your residential in any type of roads you want. Streets will even get congested faster than roads or avenues, and you can't avoid the noise if that happen. In the end, you will be forced to upgrade the streets because of the lack of capacity.

The NAM has the FLUPs (Flexible UnderPasses). If that's what you meant. Use the FLUPs puzzle pieces to make roads like shown in the picture.

If you're new to this game then you better start with easy mode. There's nothing to be shamed about it. I did start in easy mode too when the first time i played this game long ago. Soon as i knew all the tricks then i began to start in higher level. You can even start the game with zero money (by using mod) when you're expert.

You manage the city well, tax is good, health, education, but you still need to learn balance. This is what happen when you don't. You can't just zone and zone recklessly as soon as you see demand in certain type without thinking about what will happen next. Always check your demand graphs and you'll see what your city really need before zoning something. That demand graph really showed that you're not play in balance.

In summary, traffic has a negative effect to Residential but will give a positive effect to Commercial.

A roundabout is not always guarantee will increase the traffic, if you put it in a right place, then maybe it increase the traffic. Try zone a landfill in a given area, and that should lower the desirability. No one wants to live next to it. -

If you have that walking texture and still no base texture then you probably miss the BSC Textures Vol2 -
