Don't tell me you actually use power to your landfill for all this time, good mr.moose. Anyway, congratulation! Ten years anniversary of the game and you finaly find out that there is actually "something" in the game that does not required power to work.
-
Not really, the landfill does not required electricity to be able to function properly.

Banned because he cannot ban anyone without a good reason unless he's a webmaster.

Nope, there's no spring here. I'm currently in tropical country. TNP has ever been in a tropical country before.

Well, lad, clearly you must wait for a couple of months (in game). It will take time before the landfill function properly. The garbage trucks on the other hand is just mainly eye candy. Don't get confuse by them. To check if the landfill is functioning, simply click it. And remember,...wait.

Question, when did you sign the deal and connected the road in each cities? How long have you been waiting since the last time you zone that landfill? Because the "no road connection sign" indicated something to me.

Or you just download a street light mod that required a hardware rendering mode. Another possibility is, you are missing dependency and that you might also downloaded the Pegasus mod called PEG OPPS that will create a multicolor smudge like shown in the picture instead of brown boxes. You might wanna re-read the readme to check any missing file from the street light mod that you downloaded. That, if by any chance you actually downloaded the mod.

Developer types have no direct bearing on zoning. When you lay out your zones, there's no obvious way to tell which developer type you will see. There are ways, however, to predict and even control developer type when zoning. When consulting the RCI Demand Meter for current demand, dig deeper into the RCI Demand Graph (by clicking on the RCI indicator) to see demand for each developer type. If there's high demand for one type and none or negative demand for others, you can be certain about what will grow. Second, consider the desirability factors of each developer type. If you can pick areas to zone that will appeal to a developer type, the chances are that type locating there increase. Display desirability by activating the Desirability Data View - this view developer type desirability of both zoned and unzoned land. Also, are you sure you're not mistaking about something? There are no CO$, only CO$$ and CO$$$.

dirty industry showing as $$ instead of $?
Cefien replied to monomass's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Industrial Dirty doesn't always mean $. In fact, based on the building list in SC4, most of ID buildings are $$. -
For more comprehensive explanation about the RCI demand graph. Read this thread
-
Then the RCI demand graph is your friend. Simply clik it and you'll see demand for every types.
-
Well, lad, i didn't mean that you must build the dirty industry surrounding your freight stations and then contaminate your agriculture area. Just wait until the Agriculture you have zoned develop and your freight stations will be used. On the other hand, the main reason why the agriculture does not like to be near the high traffic road as Indiana said is probably due to the pollution but not traffic noise, as traffic noise does no harm at all.
-
Now, you have no industrial buildings suround it. No wonder they are not being used. Where do you think the industrial stuff come from?
-
It is recommended to build your industrial area near the edge of the city to increase the freights commuting time, because freights will always choose the fastest way to leave your city. How you arrange your neighbor connection will determine the freights commuting time.

Does the industry doubler fix the no R$$$ jobs for I-HT bug?
Cefien replied to Pinstar's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
You must be entered the dirrect link to the LEX, therefore, you must login first before you can see the download button. Have you registered both at sc4devotion.com and LEX? I'm affraid, no. You must apply this fix. -
Not sure why it's not work to you. Here, try to read
-
Simcough is right, it's not a bug. It is either seasonal or it's only a matter of elevation. I'm using CPT Olympic terrain and have seen this kind a color whenever i go to the region view. Btw, that's a nice region you got there.

Does the industry doubler fix the no R$$$ jobs for I-HT bug?
Cefien replied to Pinstar's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
The I-HT bug fixes works in the different level than the industry doubler. That's why we still need the fix. For more explanation, you should just read the description/readme in each files. It is written clearly in the description of I-HT bug fix that both of them are compatible and can be use altogether. Here's the tutorial/instruction you seek: -
The actual key is not about getting rid anything. Once your city educated enough, the demand for ID will shrink and eventually gone time to time, replaced by Commercials and IM/I-HT. By then, you only need to control your demand and desirabilty, and trees and parks are actually have an important role in growing those I-HT.

I do not understand what did you mean by "update" actually, 'cause i gave you the link to update the game before and it turned to be something that you were not even sure. So i just want to make something clear around here, if you have the SC4 Rush Hour or Deluxe Edition and your game version is either 1.1.640 or 1.1.641, then you don't need to update/upgrade anything. So, please check and tell us your game version.
-
If you mean updating the game patch than you can find it right here in the Omnibus.
