Tutorial or Guides for Constructing Realistic Airports
Jimmyson posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I have downloaded the RMIP and ACE Modular Airports Sets off SC4 Devotion and I need to find a tutorial on how to construct a realistic airport. I have come across a set of videos on YouTube, but they are not very useful for myself and the words overlay the content and the recorded Screen size is very small. There was a thread on another forum detailing the construction, but the screenshot have since been removed, or are no longer available. Is there a new and updated tutorial on this? -
Tutorial or Guides for Constructing Realistic Airports

Thanks! Just the link I was looking for I did have a quick try, but didn't find it with the search function. It seems to be broken for the Omnibus. My fault for not doing an in-depth search, but I think the admin should be altered to the broken search... -
With a sample of RRW being given to us in NAM 32 for use in our cities, I am wondering how I can implement Draggable FAR for RRW in my city. I've seen it used in SC4 Let's Play videos and have been trying to implement with no success. Is Draggable FAR for RRW publicly available for use, or only currently avaliable to testers and developers.

I'm currently borrowing a friend's computer, and wanted to launch into SimCity 4, and the game was crashing in Full-Screen mode. I am able to play in windowed mode, but I'd rather play in full screen mode. The card I am using is a Raedon HD 7800 Series, which my be too powerful for the game (but that shouldn't stop it from running in full screen) I previously used a Raedon HD 5450 without any problems. Is there a solution to this problem? I've tried running with the CPUCount:1 flag and also installed the DX9.0c libraries with no success in solving the issue.

I was getting a response from the game in Windowed Mode. It was just loading the game in Full Screen Mode was causing the game to crash upon opening... -
I seem to have an issue with the NAM 32 installation and the RHW textures. I have to install the RHD-version of NAM, but ideally I would like to see Euro road textures for Roads and RealHighway. The roads weren't an issue, but the RealHighway has given me US style, and the RHW/Road stud follows suit.

Boom-gates and Line Markings on Left Hand Drive
Jimmyson posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
There is plenty of support for changing the driving side on SimCity 4. I'm using Steam, and luckily for me I was able to initiate LHD with a parameter modification, but I couldn't help notice that the Boom-gates, line markings and even Traffic Lights are all still on the opposite side! I usually have NAM installed on RHD to match the initial driving side of the game (as this was a test) Is it normal for line markings and street side props like those mentioned earlier to be like this? Or does the UK version of the game patch this up? And if I set NAM to LHD with Euro + Australian markings, will this restore the Traffic lights and boom gates to the appropriate side? -

I reinstalled NAM 31.2 on LHD Mode, and enabled the "UK English" locale parameter in Steam Launch Options and noted that the rail crossing textures, traffic lights and Boom-gates were still inverted. -

At the time of testing. I wasn't running NAM. But if NAM was installed. It would be either 31.2 or 32-PR1 -
Returning to building the Diamond Interchange with FAR RHW, and also using L1 Road onslope. Trying to place a TuLEP at the junction and this happens. Happened last time when I used a T-junction onslope.

I'm looking forward to building rural towns and farms, but I feel lost in the large amounts of Trees and Farm mods available. I like many others are looking for realism with my city, whether they be city or country. Being from a region of Australia called Gippsland, I ideally would like my mods to look something of similar nature. Which add-ons would users recommend for creating these rural sites? Ideally I'm looking for dedicated Megapack, which keeps everything uniform, and easy to organise when saving and cataloguing them.

Recommended Addons for Realistic Country

I've pulled a few images from Google. I think wattle does grow in my area, put it's only in specific areas. Here is the amazing area of Gippsland -

Thanks ROFLyoshi! They will most defiantly help. I'm was more referring to West Gippsland, but I failed to mention that! (My mistake). Still, these will defiantly come in handy!! -
Maybe. If the code for SimCity 4 goes public, or open source, I would assume that someone would make significant improvements to it. THEN, I will be a fan forever!

I'm in the process of trying to build highway junction of a similar nature to the M1/C102 outside of my hometown in Australia. But I run into a few problems with the building of it. I used a T-junction on-slope on the left side and after joining the straight, and demolishing the sides, I was able to place a TuLEP over the top, but I was unsuccessful in placing a TuLEP transition, as it was facing the wrong way. On the right side, I used a straight on-slope, and found that the adjacent spot was unable to be replaced by any TuLEP pieces. This sort of issue has been around for a long time, and I'm wondering if their is any fix for this in the foreseeable future? Cause I'm not keen on the idea of having to manually remove the side streets for a T-junction when it's going to become a straight, especially on a hill like this. Also, while I'm on the subject, are there any plans for L1 and L2 pieces of Avenue TuLEP over RHW? It's a common thing in Melbourne to have turning lanes on overpasses, and the current NAM doesn't have all these pieces. I've seen a L2 On-slope of a A1 TuLEP Avenue, but no other puzzle pieces.
