Exactly if they hadn't decided to make this new one i'd still be playing Sim City4 in 10 years, in fact I'm going to keep all my cities n mods to show my kids, n not even had them yet. lol What would be a really good idea is to let the community have a sniff at how it's going to work, so we can have mods ready as soon as the game is released, as I'm from the UK and to think when I buy this game I have to deal with roads, bus stops and motorways n buildings like houses & shops which don't look right is not enticing.... The only reason I started playing SC4 again about 3 years ago was when i found this site n I realised there was a 3 bedroom semi like i grew up in, so i created my own British suburbs, then got addicted.... I used to design my own buildings in Sim City 2000, i bought SC4 and it took me years to realise this community existed, so only started playing again about 3-4 years ago, have just started to learn how to design and mod myself, but the work life balance keeps getting in way so i have never finished a building or underpass to contribute. Now I know there is another one soon to be released, I hope we get a sniff first and we can get my roads, bus stops, underground stations, motorways and underpasses for the UK or each country specific ready for the release.... -
I haven't used any of the plops yet but one has grown in my heavy industrial city, although it seems there are dependencies, as i have a massive brown box, see below. Here's another part of my inner suburbs. The plot of land near the skate park at the bottom right of this image, only seems to grow standard game houses, like the ones shown in this image, i have demolished them more than 10 times and they always grow back with these stupid orange roof houses which look noting like UK houses and dont fit in with the houses across the road or my suburbs. Is there anyway to block the standard Euro tileset houses from growing? So only the custom growables grow? Or do i have to keep demolishing until the house i want there grows? Thanks for any advise.

This is a small section of my suburbs. I have a question tho. Is there anyway to stop the standard game growables from growing? As at present to get those semi detatched houses to grow i have to keep buldozing the game ones until the ones like these grow, can i block the original houses from growing? I'd like rows of semi detached, terrace houese like in the real UK suburbs, the way i do it now takes ages and sometimes certain plots only seem to grow the standard game european houses which look nothing like real Uk houses. Any help please? Thanks.

I have the same problem it lays down the bus stop but the brown box appears with sim city on the side, below is the read me file, I've got all the dependencies it suggests, the box seems to be over where the red phone box is in the pic here, ive got UK style phone booth in RTMTV3 tho. Anyone know where i can find whichever prop is missing, as ive done all it says to here. Please help? UK Bus-Stop Road-Markings By cogeo A Bus-Stop Road-Markings theme for all you Brits! This set of overlay textures is intended for use with the Roadtop Mass-Transit package but it can be used in other transit-enabled bus-stop lots as well. They feature a somewhat weathered look, to match the tracks of the tyres on the road that the SC4 roads have. The set contains red-painted bus-stop markings for streets, roads, one-way roads and avenues. It does not contain subway markings, as they rather rare, if not completely inexistent in the UK. Credits: Many thanks to CJMarshall, 6underground, wallasey and GingerBlokey for the help, the information and the photos they have provided. Installation: Just copy one of the three datfiles under your RTMTV3 folder (and of course, remove your older road-markings datfile, if you had one installed). The road-markings datfile can be changed at any time, without having to bulldoze your stations. The three datfiles differ only in the road markings (the street, one-way and avenue markings are exactly the same): - RTMTV3_RoadMarkings_UKnew.dat : The red-painted area overlays the road striping; this file can be used both with the default and the Euro road textures. - RTMTV3_RoadMarkings_UKnew_Euro.dat : The Euro road striping ovelays the red-painted area; this is for use with the Euro road textures. - RTMTV3_RoadMarkings_UKnew_Standard.dat : The SC4 default (American) road striping overlays the red-painted area; this is for use with the default (unmodded) road textures. Aug 05 2007 Update Added textures for the GLR-in-Avenue Stations (available in versions 3.50 and later). To install just replace the road-markings plugin you are using. How do i get the proper correct turning lanes like this for the UK? I have downloaded and uninstalled all the relevant NAM LHD 3 times now and the road markings are still on the wrong side, traffic drives on the left but the road markings are wrong. Is there a link to download this mod below, i'd like my turning lanes and give way lines on the correct side of the road. thanks?
