  1. Poor sims and education

To elaborate on the OP, educating your sims will generally increase your demand for high-tech industry and commerical offices. It also has a strong effect on the demand for middle and wealthy citizens in your cities, also helping to increase land value - a cyclical development. I'm not truly sure whether education promotes the class of your sims, but I have seen some of the sims you put into your city go from poor to rich over the course of a city. In short, education is an essential part of a city if you wish to encourage high wealth and high taxes. If you are trying to make a dirty industry, poor or slum-like city it is usually best avoided. Any more questions, fire away.
  2. Golden Dragon Industrial Center (GDIC)

    Excellent, thankyou!
  3. Bauxim AL +Co.

Your creations are consistently fantastic, thankyou.
  4. Industry Doubler

Fantastic, just what I was looking for. I too felt that the quadruple mod was a little too much. Doubling the jobs seems a bit more reasonable. Thankyou.
  5. Industrial complex lots (I-D)

@mjel72: try using mozilla firefox instead of internet explorer. You may also wish to check that you are logged in to Simtropolis. To the creator, thankyou very much, always love big industrial complexes!
  6. Legalization of cannabis

Hi guys, just noticed this topic on the front page. My personal opinion of pot is that its okay for some. Just like alcohol. Just like coffee! I would never touch the stuff myself, but I try not to judge occasional users, after all, whats the point? However, I am concerned to see alot of comments here suggesting there is no (or little) danger from regular cannabis use. Here is a an article (from the US I think) describing some of the dangers, and crucially, it is referenced to peer-reviewed and published scientific research. If you have access to a university/college library I would urge you to check out some of the cited sources. http://www.drugabuse.gov/ResearchReports/marijuana/default.html
  7. Bistagne Open Strip Iron Ore Mine

  8. Gasol Pharma

  9. Tips on building an industrial/port city?

Thanks guys, just chanced upon this myself. It becomes a bit mundane building these high-wealth/ high-tech cities all the time, I must try some of these tips. If I may, I recommend downloading some variants on dockland structures for the above (you might already have done this). The Pegasus team seaports are ruddy awesome for this.
  10. Quetz Isoprenes Co

Great job, really captures the feel of a dangerous chemicals facility, mind you I've never been to one :D Thanks!
  11. Old Lime Kilns

Great work! It immediately struck me as an original design and I knew I had to have it. I agree with the above comment; more artisian/ quainter style designs would be wonderful. Thanks again!
