Jonesboro and Outlying Areas
bhiggins commented on bhiggins's City Journal Entry in Jonesboro, Fictional Florida/Georgia/SC
I don't get it. You say your city is in Florida but are using highways in Georgia/Atlanta.
I should highlight the word Fictional. -
Jonesboro and Outlying Areas
bhiggins posted a City Journal entry in Jonesboro, Fictional Florida/Georgia/SC
Jonesboro, the gem by the sea, the Los Angeles of the Dirty South. Filled with riches, opportunity, and growth. A low tiered city of only 234,000 residents within city boundaries, but a large tier city in terms of metro area, containing 4,600,000 people in the metro. Nothing like a stroll along the downtown beaches to take in the urban and community feel. You work in a cubicle, you make money to be able to spoil yourself, you deserve the best life for you and your family. Come and join the City of Lantana, Jonesboro's BEST suburb! Endless strip malls and condominium complexes dot the flat plains near the seaside gem, its great to be alive. Oh, and did we mention the endless shopping at the strip malls and flea markets that Florida has to offer? Just ignore the poor people of Jonesboro and move out to the suburbs! Florida's economic situation is poor and housing anywhere within 20 miles of the city is bad news! Come with us! The only price to pay is the confusing freeway system and excruciating rush hour experiences that Boca Raton County has offered us! You know you live in Jonesboro, FL when the variable message signs during your peak commute hours all read road construction ahead, expect delays! So don't worry! Just mind your own life and ignore the poor people you have left behind in the city that are helpless and shop here! Don't worry, that traffic will sure let up soon! Today's News See you next time! -
Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
bhiggins replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Are we going to be getting the normal lane end square painted lines for us American players, or are we forced to use these foreign styles? I would think it would be a choice, not to come off as insisting or rude.- 3,919 Replies

Not true about the not necessary/doesn't exist theory, they are everywhere. Down here in Florida when it transitions into, say, a lane ending, the "square white-stripe lines" continue until the shoulder line merge so they actually do exist... Also question, why on the solid line pictures can you still see the regular lane markings?- 3,919 Replies

Just... AWESOME. I literally said WOAHH like a retard out loud when I saw this... Lol... I notice the paths aren't drawn for the other booths, is that impossible (I assume yes and would probably take up ALOT of time).- 3,919 Replies

New SimCity 2013 details: system requirements, multiplayer, engine
bhiggins commented on samima's article in News
Back when EA wasn't the most hated company in the United States... Prime example of this occurring in this upcoming SimCity game is how much DLC they already have planned out that is completely unnecessary and worthless, just like the Sims 3 Stuff Packs. Instead of including foreign tilesets in their new launch they decide "Oh, lets make the customer pay more for 2 KB of extra content, yeah! Genius!" -

Very nice I like the overpass where it goes from an at grade start to a normal start looks neat. I might show off a couple of my stuff before it goes onto my city journal so I can get some opinions- 3,919 Replies

New SimCity 2013 details: system requirements, multiplayer, engine
bhiggins commented on samima's article in News
Jesus Christ Maxis... I am so sorry you have such a terrible company controlling your every move. EA, stop making DLC for little details like extra tile sets and double decker buses. Seriously, EA will be the death of Maxis and its awesome SimCity franchise. I am going to stick with Sim City 4 until some reviews come around, I have a feeling I am gearing myself for disappointment and expecting too much. -
Maybe in 10 years when hardware blows current "Gaming PC" hardware away . But this would be amazing and I don't think I would get bored of this as long as these events are both either manual (click a button and place) and EXTREMELY rare so it doesn't get old/repetitive/annoying fast.

Perfect timing looks sexy. Will there be color variations for people like me who want it dark green?- 3,919 Replies

:/ Or they could quit being the most hated company in the United States and allow for more content to be in the base game eliminating 200 expansions like for every Sims game, sorry to be blunt but they deserve that title as far as I'm concerned.

1. 2. That kind of modification is strictly third-party, and therefore outside of RHW development. 3. It's already been made, but hasn't been updated since RHW version 3. Well assuming he disappeared off of the face of the Earth from making new creations... :c but thanks anyway!- 3,919 Replies

Don't get me wrong the elevated highway ramps are realistic and work well but are these http://goo.gl/maps/Sk4d possible where instead of the transition being open for the supports it being closed like shown here?- 3,919 Replies

LRM (Light Replacement Mod) - Support, Development and Discussion
bhiggins replied to MandelSoft's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Can anyone please link me to the links for the overly bright fixes? I replaced all the files in my override folder, do I have to start a brand new city for the new changes to take effect? (That's what I am thinking).- 322 Replies

Take a look at the hype for the new game. I don't think it has much relation to the fully advanced SC4 most of us play. Not to get my skills back up specifically but to get the addiction back

Alright then I must be missing something else, this is probably the right place to ask since I have seen these pieces used in cooperation with the TuLEP pieces. There are starter pieces for regular 2 lane roads with a turn lane median and 4 lane avenues with a turn lane median and so on, do you know where I can find these? Sorry for bugging everyone I just picked up SimCity 4 after hearing news of the new game coming out and am getting ready! [EDIT]: Nevermind, NWM (Network Widening Mod) I found it. Thank you all for helping me anyway! Look out for a CJ by me!

I am having an issue with the implemented TuLEP starter and transition pieces showing up, along with others if there are any. The only usable TuLEP interface is the turn lane pieces, everything else isn't there. Please help!

Um I have no idea what is going on here at all, please help? I would really like to get a CJ started ASAP and this is holding me back... also, appears there is no nightlighting on the buildings.

I just pulled in this mod and took a look at it. No dependencies. It has an automatic installer if you are on windows. If you are not on windows you have to very carefully do the install manually and you can easily mess up by not following the instructions. You cannot shotgun this into your plugins as it has two version: Maxis night, and (Simfox) Dark night. You must choose one or the other either in the auto install or the manual install. If you installed both, all bets are off. The author of this mod produced an extensive PDF document which you must read. I suggest you delete this mod and see if your problem goes away. If so, then try carefully reinstalling it. Thanks for all your help, as it turns out, this is a recurring problem with non dark-nite versions of this mod. It will be fixed when the creator gets around to it, he just got his pc fixed apparently. Other than that, there weren't any issues.
