Offline-Only Mod: "UniDirectional Networks (UDoN)"
bobp commented on xoxide's file in SC13 Game Mods
Er Ok removed every single mod on my game installed 1.5 beta. I have all DLC apart from red cross set. Tried online but in single player mode and non sandbox. Drew a couple of dirt roads plopped down water tower, sewage outlet and windfarm. I drew a 4 lane Roundabout UDON, and connected it to the freeway with an avenue, at this point I needed to go out so quit and saved the game. On my return I tried to load the city but got the message your city isn't processing properly, rolling back. Since then the process has continued. I am located in the uk and play on EU WEST 6. Eventually I gave up and deinstalled. I really hope you can get this mod working as it adds so much to the game. I have COT installed. -

More space for their cities - opinions about Project Orion - Extended Boundary 3k.
bobp replied to NCGAIO's topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
I built two cities one with population 650k the other 440k, found you had to disperse power and sewerage and water around the cities as the agents don't like travelling 3k. Some slowdown on my machine but manageable. The cities almost touch and I was sitting here wondering if I should connect them with skyes regional freeway. Anyhow I am going to destroy them as im not too happy with a couple of roads. I am still learning the UDON mod as well as these new ones.- 26 Replies

yeah it is a bit frustrating. Never mind will try again later. I built two cities with the mods, population just over a million, little crime, health issues etc. Very little regional road traffic at the moment but I am going to abandon them, because I am not happy with the in city road layout. One city has 650k residents the other 440k residents. I had a noticeable slowdown as the cities grew. Also there is a need to disperse sewerage plnts, water around the cities because of the silly agent thing where it drops off over a long distance. The mod so far works a dream. -

Tried a couple of times to do this, when I click on the picture icon the box appears. I dropped the photobucket direct link in pressed ok and everything just froze...I waited for a couple of minutes still froze. -

Ok I would willingly do so if I knew the procedure for uploading a screenshot. Perhaps you could explain for those like me who do not know? -
I think that it is a brilliant mod, and yes by far it is the best mod for SC2013 to date. That being said it does have some quirks that cannot be changed due to the complexities of the glassbox game code. So to achieve what has been done, when Maxis said bigger cities are impossible is quite remarkable in my opinion. The community should be grateful for the efforts of the people involved as I am....THANKS GUYS

Brilliant mod, pretty easy to use, thank you all for your dedication to this game. With reference to the RCI plop tool and the comment by Maxis Lucas, I hope you guys at Maxis will release some more buildings soon, also the tools that will help the community improve the game. As the game now stands it has great potential.- 26 Replies

I notice that some users are dropping the folder into the SimCity Data file, they need to extract the files from the folder and put them in the SimCity Data file having a sub folder doesn't work. Also for the mod to work you need the RCI plop mod and UDON mod. This is clearly stated in the download instructions, if you follow the instructions to the letter you should have no problems. Zoning in the normal sense does not function outside the city boundaries that's what the rci plop mod allows you to do literaaly plop the buildings you want.

Now that I have been using the mod for 24 hours, it is awesome, I cant thank you guys enough. I even managed to build on the other side of the freeway using skyes regional freeway to join it to the main city. Slight niggle with putting down police fire and medical near low wealth as it influences the area that gets converted to medium wealth more. I sorted that in the end by building them away. This is a completely different game now, for the better may I say. Once again THANKYOU.

Whilst it is true that the Maxis guys have been quiet, only yesterday I spotted one of them reading the forum posts. Just because they are not posting doesn't mean they are not around. As far as I am aware they are still supporting the game, and I too have heard that there is still more to come.

Noticed that within the normal city boundaries that plopping police, fire and medical centre close together, influences a wider area, so more buildings went to medium wealth than normal. Easily sorted by moving the services further apart. Been running the mod for three hours with no problems. Bit tricking at times plopping on the regional roads but zooming in a little helped. Placed water plant in regional area and its pumping fine. As is garbage, waste disposal and sewerage.
