The sad thing (or pro thing, depends on how you see it) is that using a downloaded version sometimes makes using software easier. For example, my red alert 2 cd stopped working (or barely works) due to scratches, but when playing the game-version which doesn't need a cd, it works flawless, since it's not dependable on a cd anymore. Now my question is, i've got in front of me the Simcity 4 Deluxe Edition CD's (yes, compared to the most of us, i actually do buy software), and after years, I'm about to pop the cd in the computer and install it again, but will the game run faster if it would be totally installed on the computer, and not needing a cd to check or load items from it? Or is there no difference at all? If this topic (or topictitle) is too much over the fence for this forum, feel free to make changes in my post or close it. No intention to cause you guys headaches..
