  1. EAGS Alan Parsons Project

    So wickedly wonderful - buwahhhaaahhaa!
  2. Water Bomb

This is soooo cool! Nothing better than a bomb or two to blanket an enemy .... buwahhaaahhaa... yeah, I always stayed in trouble throughout school for too many chemistry experiments - flying flaming frogs was not such a great idea .... but i do like the one about a big fire to wipe out the whole place at once and maybe a bio bomb to kill off everyone not so evil first? Then the Dr Vu trainees can wreak fire on each other .... food for thought!
  3. The Simtropolis Lunchroom Game REBORN

.... an undercover super-hero! With his lightning speed he was able to dodge the impending nuke! He quickly opened his superwatch dial and summoned a team of super-heroes for help in removing hahayoudied to a safer place - SimMars. After all, saving the world from nukes, mistakes & disasters is what super-heroes do, right? A quick view of the situation showed up on their superwatch dials and everyone knew exactly what to do. With a speedy head count, our hero soon realized that someone was missing from his super-hero group! Hmmmm .... typical of Clooney, I mean Batman - he thought to himself. Meanwhile, hahayoudied was trying to avoid those nukes, but they had a good aim on him, no matter where he went. Frantically he kept running in and out of buildings, cursing and screaming wildly, while most simpeeps just stood around watching - in the normal "duh" way of their simple life. Only the simpeeps with prior experience in explosives and warfare were smart enough to steal some wheels and head for a bunker somewhere safe! While the super-hero group was averting a nuke blast or two, it was getting real hot down here in the south, and more interesting by the minute. It's not my fault if I just happened to turn off Batman's watch ... Just as I thought I had him all tied up for the evening with a little southern belle hospitality .... pilotdaryl lands on my pool deck to ruin it all .....

  7. Driveable Checker Taxis

it's ok with me that this isn't in the Modds section. I am in deep enough just trying to find and download all the friggin dependencies for all this stuff around here. Geez, simplicity is nice sometimes!
  8. Driveable Ford Mustangs

Thank you, I am a Mustang and Trans Am lover. I have a 65 + 69 Mustang, know the original owners and have owned both since early 80s! woo-hoo!
  9. Cadillac Ranch

Caddy heaven. Don't yall know they make them Caddy's into trucks so they can ride the ranch in style? Yep, just cut out the back behind the seat, style it with some metal and a big window and you got yourself "a real cowboy cadillac" - texas style! Chris Le Doux even sang about the Cadillac Ranch ... LOL! Things ya just know by living in the south US!
  10. PARIS DIAGONAL Paramount Opera Theatre

AWESOME! Very nice work and detail.
  11. Street Light Colour Pack V2

Thanks for a great idea! BTW, "green" lightiing was the norm for street lights in the southern US - especially in the small towns - until sometime in the late 80s when the fancy halogen lamps were brought into use at the interstate interchanges and eventually into the cities.
  12. Scenic Walk Park

Thanks for the park - walking is exercise and Sims need it .... LOL!
  13. Mass Pak signs by request Florida pak 1

Feels just like home .... here in FL! Thanks.
  14. grass and concrete

I happen to like the idea of having a plop that covers alot of ugly area that I would have spent too much time placing individual grassy lots onto - thanks!!
  15. Post Modding Requests Here

Sorry if I may be putting this in the wrong place but here goes ..... Since there is a tremendous wealth of information on this site, is it possible to have one main category listed just for Tutorials & Troubleshooters with sub-categories listing the different tools? Then we don't have to search through all the foum stuff to find the one we need. It would not need any "reply areas" just tutorials from the basic information to run the game to the ultimate tweaks and an orderly design of information or a flow chart of what to look for if something goes haywire. It would also help if there was a tutorial showing where the files and programs need to be located in relation to our computer's directories - i.e. Gmax, BAT, LE, Modds, etc. For example: The Gmax link at Maxis is all wrong, I finally found it here (thank you). I have learned that Gmax insists on being located on my "C:/" directory (hard drive) as a "stand alone program", not in my normal "C:/ProgramFiles" folder. Which caused a mess when I loaded it in the wrong place and it scattered files throughout my directory. This type of program behavior can cause many peeps to have game issues. If you could simply add basic instruction of the directives where we are supposed to load the "Programs, Modds, etc" it would be very helpful. Remember, a lot of us are newbies to this stuff and we tend to wander our way through this stuff ... I catch myself going way over someone's head when explaining engine problems that are basic to me but mumbo jumbo to them! They just want to put the key in it and drive just like some of us want to load the good SC stuff and play. Right now I am in a state of mass confusion over what to load? I know some of the tutorials list the "links" but that still doesn't explain exactly where it goes in my program file directory and in what order am I supposed to load these items? Maxis crapsite is not exactly the most explanatory place to visit, it certainly has some issues. And you can forget about getting a reply if you have techy issues. Been there, done that, got a t-shirt that reads "ignored" - LOL! What basic stuff do I need to make the Gmax work correctly? Do I need the Data Gen or the Reader stuff? Do I need both? NAM what? Update and plug into what? When? Where do they go? I apparently put them in the wrong directory and it was a small disaster. Even put some of the zip files in a sub file of My Documents and it still unzipped and loaded some stuff in them, not in the Files where it should have - some of these tweaks don't give any options, they just unzip and "viola!" show up in the strangest of places .... like the "exe" of the NAM stayed in My Documents sub file and the rest went to the secondary Sims City 4 file that was automatically put in My Documents Folder when I loaded the game. Why? Now do you understand the newbie confusion over downloading all this neat stuff? If we can check to make sure items loaded where they were supposed to go and all the correct items are in the correct places, we might be able to play without so many crashes or lost information. Thanks!
