Well I found that the RAM is very important unless you want to have your cities small with no workshop content. I had 4GB and at first the game was fine but as it got bigger and I added workshop content, the game would lag and freeze. I would have to watch the time bar to know if I could scroll or not. I upgraded to 16GB and this completely eliminated all lag and freeze. Proof enough to me that this game is memory dependent.

Well to each his own in regards to the value of content on the workshop. Just because I don't care for it does not mean nobody will so I agree it should be open for anyone to submit to. That being said, I also agree it is hard to scroll through so much content that I don't care for to find what I am looking for. Maybe having required tags for better searches would help. I do like Cyclone's idea of having a content spotlight. Something where the items could be voted on and sorted by the number of users who "liked" the entry.

Excellent work, your city looks great. I really like the rail yard and the maps!

The Spire is growing on me. I like the look. I agree with others that the 80 South Street is very bizarre.

It certainly is different. It looks like snake skin.

I got SCS as a gift. Some features are a plus from SC4 (graphics,sandbox mode) but they also took away a lot of good features that SC4 has (transport options,region play). I also do not like having to plop each building, there is not enough diverse buildings of each type to make a really good looking large city I believe. I would buy it if you want to. I don't think you can make a statement to EA buy not buying it. It will make money for them either way since there are players who like the game a lot. I am sure they have a pulse on the community and know what the players have been saying about the game. The question is, what will they do about it?

I use a combo of real and made up names but always ones that sound like real towns.

I was going to mention the story about Brady and Moss pulling out of the Probowl but was beaten to the punch. No word on why. Brady may be legit with his ankle but what is Moss excuse? Greekman- looking forward to next year, everyone is 0-0.

Pats- I myself like to analyze why teams play better in some games over others. I thought the Giants would win this SB because of the underdog/overconfident angle mostly. Basically the Giants new they had to play better because they already lost to the Pats. On the other hand, even though Belicheck is a master at motivating his players, how could the Pats think they had to play better? They already beat the Giants and everyone else. Anyway, I think this may have been some factor. The other thing I saw is that the Pats generally make no mistakes when the game is on the line and I was surprised to see plays going the Giants way (missed interception). They had a number of close games this year (Baltimore/Philly) but the plays went their way when they needed them to. Yea, I know Pats fans will say this is because the Pats are a good team while everyone who cheers for the other team will say they get lucky. When it happens in the Pats favor so many times, I know in this case the Pats are good more than lucky. Anyway, it was a good game with three lead changes in the 4th.

Ok, That was a great game. Fairly boring in 2nd and 3rd quarters but three lead changes in the 4th and a TD to win with 40 seconds to go. I was glad to see the Giants win because I was tired of hearing how the Pats could not lose even one game. I am not a big fan of Tom Petty but I agree he chose good songs.

That's not very much information to go by. It would be nice if they added the features already present in SC4 that are missing like highways and region play. The only areas SCS shines above SC4 is the sandbox mode and the graphics. Other than that, they have a lot of ground to make up to surpass SC4.

I like both buildings but will go with the Freedom tower because there is more to it. By this I mean the Spire is unique but the shape is the same basically from bottom to top. I also disagree with those who say the Spire does not fit the skyline. Eventually, the Spire will be one of the smaller buildings in Chicago. If each city took the don't do anything different mentality, we would not have any skyscrappers now would we?

Cleaner475: If they upgraded the player to keep ahead of pirating, they would be shooting themselves in the foot if it meant the player would not play older discs. I think they will just adapt the software on the disc like they do with DVD so you will not have an issue where your player won't show new movies. The companies want to prevent piracy but if they do it at the expense of the legitimate user, they will lose because nobody would continue to buy new players to be able to view the new movies. To others questioning wheter the players will become cheaper, the answer is of course they will. The money is not in the players. The real money is when you buy that new movie on a blu-ray disc. Think about how much you paid for that DVD player and then add up the cost of every DVD you ever bought for it and it is easy to see where you spent the money. Same concept with the video game consoles, they don't even try to make huge profits on the consoles when the games bring in the profits.

You have a lot of improvements requested for someone who likes the game. Being able to plop what you want where you want it is indeed a powerful option but having to search through hundreds of buildings to make sure you have diversity for each building plopped means getting bored real quick. I don't know how you can be excited about creating a large region one building at a time. Best answer here is to have both so you can provide detail where you want it but not have to build every structure. SCS made some steps forward from SC4 but made so many steps backward in the process that the end result is not very good.

I haven't tried it so it would be nice to hear from those who have if they liked it or not.

I had a feeling BluRay would take this one over HD. Sony may have lost on Betamax but they are no longer the skinny kid on the block. It will be nice to see this settled and prices for players and media come down to reasonable levels. The 25GB capacity per layer for BluRay is exciting. That's a lot of picture/music/video/file storage per disk.

Thats not too bad but plopping each building by hand I get tired fast. And since I don't like repeats, it takes even longer to find new buildings for each plop. SCS also freezes on my way more often than SC4 does and that is saying something. I am not happy with SCS. The graphics are great but not much else. Another thing, you can zoom in for much better detail than SC4 but you cannot zoom out very far so you can only see part of your city unless it is very small.

I too think this is obviously a ploy by Iran to invoke a military response from the US so they could plead to the world that the US is trying to start a war and they are not. You have to be careful though, El Burro talks of sucking it up but if these boats had explosives they could have been on a suicide mission so you cannot take the situation lightly. They are lucky they were not fired upon.
