I was referring to the walls that go into the water, but both will be very useful to me. Thank you very much. You know I have given much though to this and I have made my mind: I'm moving to Myon! If you can find a place for me I will be doubly grateful. My personal stuff:

A new park area has been built in Amiton, it is located just to the north of M-1 and has several different sports areas, as well as a network of paths where you can walk around the park. Also in the park are large open areas with some trees for shade where you can play games, have a picnic, or do other stuff as well. The cemetery has been modified to honor those who lost their lives in the Uptasaunt War, where several hundred people now lay in peace.

Myon City has expanded to the east, and several new housing developments have been built. This area is expected to be one of the higher wealth areas of town due to the proximity of the capital buildings, as well as easy access to the EL train. The population of Myon City is now over 10,000, and it continues to rise.

The development has spread all the way over to the east side levee on Myon Lake, and while on this side of town is mostly open parkland, there is still some houses in the area. Vasileios Peidis has moved into a house on the northeast part of town, and he is a high school teacher at the Myon Peninsula school district (You can see the school in the middle picture, it is near the Myon Capital Building). He teaches 10th grade Terra History, Architecture I (which deals with the basics of architecture, followed by the designing of homes and small office buildings), as well as the 9th-10th grade geography class. In his free time, Vasileios can be found riding his bike on the road down by Myon Lake, where he often rides down to where the road goes down to Myon River before going back home.

Beautiful outcome, in every aspect. Amiton is slowly turning into a cosmopolitan garden city in a unique Myon style. The picture of the town in sunset (or sunrise - I cannot see the sun) is of great beauty. I would like to express my admiration of the Amiton Docks, too. It is a fantastic recreational facility that gives a wonderful waterfront to the city, as well as a meeting area for the residents to engage in a variety of leisure activities. On the other hand Myon City has already shown that it is going to grow into a thriving capital, while it has all the necessary infrastructure and the geographical diversity of the area whict will take away any element of boredom in the pattern of the urban tissue that could appear in a predesigned city. Keep sending in those updates, Mr. Leech10 and you are bound to receive congratulating posts from anyone who sees them. I, personally, cannot wait for the next.

Thanks, too, for the entry visa and the post at the high school. I will do my best to contribute to the welfare of the Myonians, not only by educating the young generation, but by offering advice to the older as well. Just make sure there are enough french fries on the planet. I happen to love them, you know.

November, Year 16

Several months ago, shortly after the war ended, a group of people, zukes and robots went down to the area in the Myon Tropics that was seen on a picture taken by Myon 1. They built the start of a town, began some farms, and got stuff ready for the new settlers to come. When they completed their work, the town of Thulan was born. The town soon grew to include some new shops and a school, and during that time, the explorers in the area found a vein of iron ore near the surface. Immediately, work began on building a mine to get to it, and the town grew even more, and construction of an airport to allow easy transportation to Myon City and Amiton where most of the iron and steel will be used at. Now, 6 months after construction began, a town of around 1,500 had appeared in the forest where there previously was nothing.

The town of Thulan includes a school, a street lined with shops, and a zuke district on the Thulan River, including several homes, some shops, and a small dock area, making Thulan the first hybrid town on Myon.

Just to the west of town, a mine has been built in the side of a small hill, where a thick vein of iron ore stretches deep underground. It is not known how far the iron ore extends underground, but it is certain that there is plenty here for many more years. Already, nearly 1000 tons of it have been mined from the entrance of the mine, and they have only gone around 350 feet in at this time. Production is beginning to slow, however, as the vein splits up into several smaller veins that begin going deep underground, and also because they are running out of room to store the iron ore, as well as the steel they are making with it as the airport is not completed yet.

Just across the river is the refineries and the warehouses that turn the iron ore into iron and steel, and then store it for later use. The iron and steel are then sent to the shaping plants, where it is molded into useable pieces such as steel I-beams, steel plates, and other pieces before it is stored before being sent to the places that will use it. Work is also beginning on reducing the pollution made by these plants to keep the air on Myon clean.

The escaped Uptasauntians have still not been found, it is unknown how they are dealing with living in the wild, especially due to the heavy rains that commonly hit the area, soaking anyone outside, even if they are in the forest.

Myon News

October 27th
A truck headed south on M1 north of Amiton looses control, slides across all the southbound lanes of traffic, before hitting the center median and jackknifing, afterwards it skidded back over to the right and coming to a stop blocking all 3 lanes of traffic. Also involved in the wreck were 2 cars and a pickup truck, where one of the cars was spun out when the truck hit its rear end while sliding to the left, the other 2 vehicles were unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the wrecked truck. No one was killed in the crash, but the drivers of the 2 vehicles that hit the semi and a passenger in the pickup truck had to be taken to Amiton Hospital for numerous scrapes and bruises, and the driver of the semi for a broken leg. Everyone involved in the crash is expected to make a good recovery. The road crew spent 2 hours clearing the wreck off of the road before it could be opened for traffic, in the mean time 1 of the northbound lanes was converted to a southbound lane to allow people to get through.

November 15th
Construction on the Myon Embassy has begun in downtown Myon City, and Myon Embassy is designed by Anderson Architecture, with a similar style to the MCN Apartments. Construction is expected to be finished around March to April of next year.

Exhagaga: Glad you like it, I guess Amiton would be the most like Phoenix, because it is in the desert, but I don't really know for sure as the only time is was in Phoenix was to get on a different plane on the way to San Diego.

Greetings again, Mr. Leech10. I wish to send my congratulations for the new development scheme, especially for the coexistence of zukes and people. I wonder what zukes eat, and generally about their habits. Do they shop from the same places as humans? What would be the next step? Perhaps a marriage of a human and a zuke? It would be revolutionary even for the Myon society. Anyway, I would like to ask some questions:

1) Is anyone really trying to find the escaped Uptasauntians or they have been left to their fate? I do not believe that the environment is very friendly and it is more possible that they have either met their deaths in the jungle or they are still alive and thinking of turning themselves in to save their lives.

2) I did not quite understood the Myon Embassy thing. What I mean is that, an embassy of Myon should be in another place than Myonian cities and that an embassy in Myon City would most probably be one of Terra. The only explanation I can provide is that it is the base of the future diplomatic corps of Myon City.

3) How do young Myonians learn about traffic rules and stuff? That accident could have cost lives and it was only luck that it didn't. One solution I can give is to start traffic lessons for children. Perhaps a facility for this could be built (I have no idea how such facilities are called) where children would learn the rules of the road.

4) Something irrelevant: when one downloads a BAT or a lot or whatever else for one's city, how does one place them into one's computer so that one can use them? One has read somewhere a reference about a downloading manual but poor one found nothing.

Bruce and some other explorers set out on one of the zuke trails that was found near Thulan, and began heading west. They took 3 ATVs like during the exploration of the area west of the Amiton mountains, but this time it is because of the escaped Uptasauntians in the area. In case they were found, they wouldn't be able to do anything to the explorers. There were a lot of palm trees in the area, and they decided to call them tumbleseed palms because they grew large round fruits that rolled around easily once on the ground. Soon after they left the city, a faint buzzing noise could be heard in the area, but they thought nothing of it and continued on. Just as quickly as it started, the sound stopped.

They continued on down the road, and just as they decided to stop to go outside and take a break, the weather radar once again went crazy. It had been recently modified, and as it continued to show an area of static in the mountains, they believed that it was just malfunctioning and they ignored it. They began looking around the road to see what they could find, and then suddenly, they spotted one of the squirrel creatures. It stared at them, but it never moved, not even when the approached. One of the group tried to touch it, but it just hopped up to a higher tree branch out of reach and just stayed there. After spending nearly a minute observing it and taking several pictures, a loud buzzing just like what was heard by the Vacimin River filled the air, and the squirrel creature suddenly ran away as fast as it could go.

Wanting to see what was going on, they got back in the ATVs and quickly continued on. About a minute later a dull thud was heard, and suddenly, the static area on the radar began to move directly towards them. It soon sped up to a tremendous speed, and while the buzzing got louder, they could not see any changes at all in the sky. Suddenly, just after they had gotten inside the static area, they saw a large spaceship designed something like the CS-1, only it was a dark yellow, had smoothly curving sides, and seemed to have no weapons at all. It flew right over them temporarily blocking out the sun, and then it quickly tilted up and flew away at several times the speed of sound.

They soon came to a zuke village near the road, and they stopped there. They went in and they asked a zuke if they knew of anything else that had happened in the area about what had just happened. He said I was inside when the noise first started, and when I went outside to look, the sound stopped again. I thought is must have been some sort of test with the 2 tanks that were stationed here and went back inside, only to hear the buzzing again in a few more minutes. This time, I looked over at the tanks and they weren't doing anything, so I flew up over the trees, and I though I could see something a dull yellow color off to the west, but I didn't go over there to get a better look because it looked dangerous. Just then I hard the tanks drive off towards it, and I wondered what it was that was going on. Soon after that, I heard several small explosions like the tanks were firing at the objects, and then it flew almost right over the village on its way to the east before it vanished from sight

From talking to some of the other zukes, they learned that something was seen over there a few weeks ago and the tanks were sent over there to destroy it and they came back after they said they destroyed some odd mushroom like object. Then it was relatively quiet in the area, before the object that Bruce saw was found. They decided to go over to see what had been destroyed, and if anything was left of it.

Farther along the road they found the site of the mushroom thing, and they found that it must have had some explosives in it. Not much was found around the site other than some hunks of an unknown metal and several chunks of gold. It seemed as if it was some sort of storage building, and when the tanks attacked it they must have started a fire which caused something in there to explode and destroy everything else.

Bill the Greek: You will have to wait for the zuke info, it will be in a future update.  1: Several groups have been sent out to try to find the Uptasauntians, but they have so far not been able to find any trace of them at all, not even the zukes could find anything other than the abandon vehicles near the base.  2: That was a typo, it was supposed to say Myon City Embassy, which is named that because it is located in Myon City.  3: They learn that stuff in school and by driving around with a driving instructor on roads with low amounts of traffic, so there is no need to build any place for it.   4: The stuff you want in the game goes in the plugins folder located here: My Documents/simcity 4/plugins. There is usually a readme in the .zip file that tells you how to install it.

Greetings again Mr. Leech10. This update has finally given an answer to the question of the strange buzzing noise issue. The alien spaceship (at least that is what it seems to be) looks very interesting; I wonder whence it could have come and what part it will play in the future (I believe this storyline has many potentials). Is it possible it belongs to another alien race that has also colonized the planet? (No need to answer that.) We shall see in the future. I would also like to thank you for answering to my questions. The last answer was of great help to me. When I downloaded Marrast's embankments I only got one file and that I did not know where to place. Abouth Myon City Embassy, I understand what you said (and I had a look on the building itself on your BAT thread

They continued on to the north along the path, where it soon turned back to the west, and just as they went around the turn, they thought they could here the sound of a gun being fired off in the distance several times, but when they started to listen for it, all they could here were some of the squirrel creatures, and some nearby insects the size of a normal sized pencil flying over a rock on the edge of the path.

The path went up the side of a small mountain, and when the reached the top, they had a clear look at a lake that was located in one of the valleys. It was a medium sized lake with a mountain in the middle of it, and it seemed to go back almost a mile. They continue on down the road to get a closer look, and also to see if there is anything else of interest in the area.

The path comes down to a small stream flowing into the river, where they stop and get out of the ATVs. They walk over to the lake and look at the water and see that the lake is relatively shallow around the edge as if the valley it was in wasn't very deep and the water just spread out as it entered the valley. They see several small fish swimming around, some of which have 2 rows of fins down their back, and another that has 7 fins arranged almost randomly on its body. A large number to the pencil like insects can bee seen flying around the water and landing in bushes along the shore, as well as several clouds of smaller fly like insects that hover over the water like they are waiting for something to come out of it.

After following the stream up to a small waterfall, they decide to build a camp right there as nighttime is getting closer. The town of Dahborn is begun as 8 small cabins similar to the zuke homes are built in a clearing. As night falls, they here several more gunshots in the distance, but this time, when they activate the microphone systems, they are able to pick up 3 more shots in the distance, followed by the cry of some deer like creature off to the west. They believe that it may be at least some of the escaped Uptasauntians, and they decide to investigate closer in the morning.

Myon City has continued to expand down to the south, and more people have moved in. Some of the houses are not totally full, as the amount of people coming from Terra has shrunk by a lot. It seems that the eruption that has happened there has messed with the teleportation stations and caused some of them to need to close, so not as many people can leave.

Greetings again, Mr. Leech10. A great update on the exploration of Myon. It seems that there are many bizarre animals there. I wonder if any of them could be dangerous for the colonists. In the meanwhile, what is happening in Myon City and Amiton? I am sure major development is taking place there. There are so many storylines! As far as NC is concerned, I remember the mention of the eruption, I just did not compare the dates to see that in fact it was that eruption. I gather that this CJ is permanantely over, isn't it? It is a pity that there was so little response. Anyway, this one is doing great. Waiting the next update!

Ferneon has expanded to the south with the addition of a new housing development, which has increased its population to over 800 people. The farming areas have also spread out around this new area, and many different types of farms have been planted, many of them new crops recently brought to the planet.

In the northern part of Myon City next to the area where the Garcer and Myon Rivers meet, a relatively large park has been built with 2 flower gardens, several playgrounds, as well as a path network with a snack bar hidden in the back of the park. A canal has also been built for small pleasure boats to use, 2 of the bridges are raised to let boats under them, and the road to the park is a drawbridge, and 3 locks allow boats to get over the levee, and down into the river.

The Myon City Embassy building has been completed, allowing diplomatic issues to be solved quickly and easily now that there is a building dedicated to it instead of using the capital building. The embassy building is 15 stories high, making it the tallest building on Myon, and it was designed by Anderson Architecture. Near the embassy a new apartment building has been built, this one designed by Myon City Architecture, and while it doesn't have as many features as the MCN Apartments, it is still a good place to live in the downtown area.

Back in the tropics, the exploration team has gone off to investigate the noises heard last night. Even though it is raining, they take the ATVs down an opening in the forest to a small lake, where they drive right into the water with a big splash. They continue in deeper until the ATVs float up and the wheels loose contact with the ground, and then they activate the propeller and rudder controls so they can continue on. Not knowing how far away whatever they heard may be, they go slowly to avoid making too much noise that would alert them to the ATV's presence.

They continue on through as small inlet into a larger lake, and out in the middle they come across large fish that float up to the surface before poking their head out of the water, and then suddenly dive down under again very quickly, almost as if they need air to breath. Suddenly, one of the fish surfaces near several of the large pencil like insects, and the fish jumps completely out of the water, revealing an eel-like body with 2 pairs of side fins and a long back fin, and eats one of the insects in a single bite before landing in the water with a splash. The farther they go, the more the rain slows down, and there are several times where the rain stops momentarily before starting again.

They soon come to the end of the lake, and since the ATVs can not climb waterfalls, they have to drive back onto the land before going back into the small river that was going over the waterfall, and follow it to the south. The river soon opens up into another lake, and as they continue out into it, the rain stops again, and this time it does not come back. However, as the approach 2 mountains on either side of the lake, a thick fog rolls in from the far end of the lake, engulfing the entire area. They slow down even more, and have to rely on the radar system to make sure they don't hit anything in the lake.

They pass by the mountains, and they see something on the radar that is definitely not nature. They turn the ATVs in the direction, and just at the same time the fog clears out just enough for them to see that it is a small group of buildings similar to zuke houses, but arranged in a different way showing that it is at least some of the escaped Uptasauntians. After they sneak onshore, they surround the village and order them to come out. 4 come out of the 2 cabins, but suddenly several shots are heard, followed by the pinging of bullets hitting metal as a 5th Uptasauntian fires on the ATVs from the watchtower. One of the ATVs fires back, and at least 1 of the bullets hits the Uptasauntian, causing him to drop his weapon.

They gather all 5 of them into the ATVs and take them back to Thulan at full speed, where they held for 2 days and the one gets treatment for the bullet wound in his leg, and then they are sent back to Terra for questioning and trial.While thy were being questioned, they revealed that the entire group split into 3 groups and that one group had gone north, and the other group had gone east after they left the base.

Meanwhile on the west edge of the Melemon Ocean, a large storm had exited the jungle and began to head out into the ocean. Several planes were sent in to observe the storm as it heads westward to see how such large storms operate and to try to find out how they form. Nothing like this has ever been seen on Terra, and while the storm is rotating, it looks nothing like a hurricane or other similar storm.
