Very cool diagram of the fish, and nice use of the irrigation canals. I don't see them used very much.

Interesting, I think the fish drawing looks great and nice use of the water canals for the farms.

    Thanks for the comments on the canals and the fish!

    January, Year 10

    It is hard to believe that it was only 10 years ago that Myon was discovered and spaceships were sent to explore and colonize it with the amount of stuff that has been built, including the Myon Spaceport and Myon Dam. What will happen in the next 10 years? Whatever happens, it is sure to be found here.

    hspace=0http://img186.echo.cx/img186/8841/myonjanuary1008mf.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The levee has gone though the town area, and is now nearing completion as it begins to expand up the northern part of the river. Anderson Architecture has moved to a new building as the original one was in  the levee construction area, and now there is more room for future office space when more people are employed there  after the teleportation station opens up.

    hspace=0http://img186.echo.cx/img186/3479/myonjanuary1014hw.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    A closer look at the area where the bridge meets the levee shows that there are plenty of trees in the area to make it look nice, and also to try to prevent the city from getting too hot and allowing the wildlife a place to live in the city when it grows bigger in the future, unlike downtown New Chicago. (in my other CJ, Riverton will follow a similar plan.)

    hspace=0http://img186.echo.cx/img186/3906/myonjanuary1028jn.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    On the other side of the river the same style is seen in the levee, and some small open grassy areas are along the river here, allowing for picnics away from the downtown traffic in a nice, peaceful setting.

    Character update:

    Bruce Stanton (SC4 meister): Bruce is currently exploring the southern part of Myon River down to Myon Dam and we will be hearing from him every so often. He is also trying to find more evidence of the other people that have built the small settlements along the Melime River and then mysteriously left them behind.

    Jeff Anderson (ThePeoplesPerson): Jeff is currently working on the plans for the Myon Capital building which will be built in Myon City and serve as the main government center for the entire area. Jeff and Casey are thinking about getting married soon, which will make them the first people to be married on Myon.

    Nice a simple storyline. Everyone is using that very realistic water texture? Very Interesting! But does it really move like wave? It sure does look great on still pictures! Great work!

    The fish was an interesting aside. Nice use of the canals, and good details in the terraforming overall.

    March, year 10

    hspace=0http://img203.echo.cx/img203/3403/myonmarch1001ir.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The teleportation station is now complete, meaning that many more people will soon be arriving on Myon, beginning the main growth on the planet. Right now, the testing still needs to be done, but as soon as the people running it know that it works properly, it will open up.

    hspace=0http://img203.echo.cx/img203/1781/myonmarch1011py.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Back at Myon city, it seems like storm after storm comes though the area, and there has been several cases of basement floodings, as well as dirt getting washed out of people's gardens from the heavy rain.This may be the first test of the seawall and possibly the levee, but the people here hope there won't be that much rain and also hope the storms will end soon.

    hspace=0http://img147.echo.cx/img147/1363/myonmarch1029vr.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    In between 2 storms Bruce was able to get some exploring in, and here is were The beginning of the road off to the volcano observatory begins. It is up on another levee going over to the cliffs because it will help protect the town if the levee breaks in the farming area, and also the volcano observatory road will not be blocked by any floods.

    hspace=0http://img147.echo.cx/img147/9558/myonmarch1038za.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    As he traveled down into the shadows of the cliffs, he came across a previously undiscovered pond in the forest, where hundreds of the squirrel creatures could be found jumping from tree to tree and drinking from the pond.

    May, Year 10 / 116

    hspace=0http://img167.echo.cx/img167/3766/myonmay1000bq.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    There has been lots of growth on the west end of Myon City, where several more housing blocks were added as well as the completion of M1, which has made it down the cliff along the narrow roadway that was built when the original road was added.

    hspace=0http://img167.echo.cx/img167/193/myonmay1018iy.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    On the east side not much has happened, but there was the first mansion built, and the final location for the Myon Capital Building has been decided. It will be built soon, and it possibly will have other buildings nearby to provide more room when more people come to the planet.

    hspace=0http://img167.echo.cx/img167/6690/myonmay1029jb.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The storms that came though have caused small ponds to develop in Greg Canyon, but thankfully, the rains have stopped and the level of Myon River has gone back down.

    hspace=0http://img167.echo.cx/img167/3648/myonmay1037yz.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Several new farms have opened up, allowing the new people to be fed. The farms here are actually increasing the health of the ecosystem here, with more spots for the birds to land as well as a lot more greenery than what was in the desert before.

    hspace=0http://img167.echo.cx/img167/7799/myonmay1047yq.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Amiton has also seen lots of development, with a new street being built, and many new homes for the newcomers.

    hspace=0http://img167.echo.cx/img167/5316/myonmay1055cc.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The population of Myon has risen by 257 within the month that the teleportation station has been opened, and the population could reach 1000 by the end of the year with the new people coming in on the teleporters, as well as the 100 coming in on the return trip of Myon 6 in July.

    You can join the CJ at any time now that the teleportation station is open, and here is what you will need:
    Name :
    Job : (you can work as whatever you want, as long as it is on Myon. some examples are: explorer, dam operator, volcano monitor)
    Community : (Amiton, Myon City, or in a new town in the country)
    Age :
    About your character : (just say some stuff about you character such as kids, husband/wife, interests, ect.)

    July, Year 10 / 116

    hspace=0http://img138.echo.cx/img138/7991/myonjuly1003fu.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Myon City is growing fast, and Anderson Architecture has begun construction of the Myon Capital Building. The Myon City school district (Myon City, Ferneon) has started softball and baseball team for the kids here, named the Wildcats. Amiton is doing the same thing, and their team name is the Tigers. This will help promote athletics on Myon, and when more schools open up, it will become more involved, and possibly have a small tournament near the end of the season to see which town's team is the best.

    hspace=0http://img138.echo.cx/img138/7283/myonjuly1015mh.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    In case you were wondering where Ferneon was, here it is, along with the farms that were built with it. It is a small farming community of less than 100 people, and the only way to get to it is to go west on Main Street (It is the street the bridge is on) in Myon City and keep going until you go up the cliff to the desert. The water is pumped though large underground pipes from Amiton Lake until it gets here, and then it is stored in the canal in town before going to the farms or homes.

    hspace=0http://img138.echo.cx/img138/5900/myonjuly1026vv.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    A closer view shows the homes and shops in Ferneon, as well as the wind farm along the cliff. This is the only part of Myon that isn't powered by Myon Dam, and will probably be the model for most small town's power systems in other parts of the planet.

    September, Year 10 / 116

    hspace=0http://img14.echo.cx/img14/6678/myonseptember1001fb.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Jeff is still working at the Myon Capital Building site, currently work is beginning on the driveways behind the buildings, then work will begin on the rest of the complex. The building on the left is the main office building, where the Myon Senate will work, and the other building is where the Chancellor will live and work. The Chancellor will serve 5 year terms with a maximum of 2 terms in office, and will one of the members of the Senate, and will be elected by the Senate. The Senate will be elected by the people of Myon.

    Jeff's house used to be on the edge of town, and now it is in the middle of town, showing that Myon City is growing fast.

    hspace=0http://img14.echo.cx/img14/8968/myonseptember1018js.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Ferneon is also growing fast, it has doubled in size in only 2 months, and many farms were planted in the area. While the area is very dry, it is still a nice place to live because the weather always stays the same, and you can have fun outside all year long without worrying about snow or rain.

    hspace=0http://img14.echo.cx/img14/5269/myonseptember1029vj.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Also built in Ferneon is a new drag racing track, where people can test their cars to see how fast they can go, and possibly when Myon gets more populated, it may have professional drag races. Jeff Anderson can also be found here, racing some of the cars he has worked on for fun.

    To the north of Myon City there was been the addition of more levees, the construction of the highway bridge, and addition of seawalls, as well as the naming of the Garcer River, which is on the west side of the Myon River and starts at the newly named Garcer Canyon.

    November, Year 10 / 116

    hspace=0http://img112.echo.cx/img112/3053/myonnovember1005yn.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The Myon Capital Area is now complete, and before it opened, Jeff Anderson tested out the new parking lots by driving one of his cars all around the area. The new building will have most of the other stuff needed to run the government, was well as some Top Secret stuff.

    hspace=0http://img112.echo.cx/img112/1516/myonnovember1011st.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Over on the other side of the river, the area around Bruce's home is growing quickly, so he can no longer explore his backyard, he now has to walk a little ways away from his house. Over to the left of the construction area but before the first street you can see the first church on Myon, where Jeff and Casey will get married at.

    hspace=0http://img112.echo.cx/img112/8165/myonnovember1023kb.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The first permanent farming area in the valley has been built, where all sorts of food can be found, as well as the new location of Logan Muhlenkamp's tree farm. The Myonian palms have grown very well in their new home, an area juts north of these farms that will always remain a forest area to help preserve the planet.
