February, Year 107 (NC time)
February, Year 1 (Myon time)

The planet Myon is an Earth-like planet in the Anacata solar system. (Anacata is the name of the biggest planet) The sun is named Beta Eurenda, and there are several other planets are in the solar system, including Terra, Punera, and 2 other planets that share Punera's orbit, Portio, which is behind Punera, and Puranda, which is in front of it. Myon is a mostly tropical planet, known for its year long summers, even close to the poles.

If you have been reading my other CJ, New Chicago, you will know about the civilization on Terra. If you haven't, here is a quick review. There are 2 cities, New Chicago and Riverton, with a population of around 1.5 million. North of New Chicago is a space center, and there is where they launched a spaceship named Myon 1, which is a space probe that took pictures of Myon and landed there.

Here are several pictures taken by Myon 1, going from west to east.

September, Year 108 (NC time)
September, Year 2 (Myon time)

MR1 and MR2, 2 spaceships from Terra bringing robots to Myon, have landed. The robots that MR1 and MR2 released are prepping the area for the landing of Myon 2,another spaceship from Terra with 10 people on it to bring civilization to Myon. Some of the things they are doing are: building a bridge across Myon River, building several roads, and removing trees so there is a clear area to land at.

hspace=0
This is the landing of MR1 and MR2, but the mysterious green blob in the river is unknown, and disappeared soon after landing.

hspace=0
About 3 weeks later, the bridge was built, and the roads were laid out, with the tree clearing soon to begin. This is the beginning of Myon City, which will most likely be the capital city on the planet.

Looks futuristic... I just stared at the mountains that were right on the river and looked to be floating... seemed strange. But I wanna see what happens.

    Thanks for all of the comments, and remember to check out my other CJ to get the full story!

    April, Year 109 (NC time)
    April, Year 3 (Myon time)

    The tree clearing is complete, and several farms were built by the robots. The spaceship Myon 2 has just landed on Myon, bringing 10 people to the planet. A small town has been formed, named Myon City, and it is the capital of Myon for now. The town will grow slowly at first, as there aren't many people, and the area around the city is unknown, and could be dangerous. Here is some pictures of the area showing the town and the nearby areas.

    The water on Myon is much darker than the pictures from Myon 1 and MR1 and MR2 showed, but it is still safe to drink.

    May, Year 109 (NC time)
    May, Year 3 (Myon Time)

    The residents in Myon City want to learn more about their surroundings, so they send out some of the robots from MR1 and MR2. The robots first head west, before getting to a large lake known as Myon Lake.
    hspace=0http://img117.exs.cx/img117/3765/trail16de.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Out here, away from the civilization, there are wild horses, seemingly similar to the ones found on Terra. Nothing is known about how they got to be so similar, and after taking a few pictures, the robots head north around Myon Lake.

    hspace=0http://img117.exs.cx/img117/6743/trail28vb.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    On the north end of the there is a mysterious absence in animals, and nobody knows why. The robots stop to take a water sample, which comes up with plenty of algae and moss, and continue on to the east, in the direction of some oddly placed mountains.

    hspace=0http://img117.exs.cx/img117/1328/trail39hf.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Just a little farther east, the robots come across an abandon trail that seems to be in disuse for many years, as there are trees growing in the middle of it. Someone has to have been on Myon before the Terrains, even if they aren't here now.

    hspace=0http://img117.exs.cx/img117/2636/trail46vm.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The robots follow the trail deeper into the forest, and the lack of animals continues. No animal is found, not even insects, which is very strange. The trees lining the path seem healthy, and somehow the path is surprisingly well kept except for the trees growing in it.

    hspace=0http://img77.exs.cx/img77/2866/trail53jp.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Deep in the forest and halfway to the mountains, the trail splits. Should the robots continue on path they are on and go towards the mountains, or should they take the other path and go south?

    On the next update I will count the votes, and I will send the robots down the path that more of you chose.

    Remember to say which path you want to go down, the robots are waiting...

    Plans have been made to start a new settlement on the other side of Myon River once some more people come.

    Looks nice, I think you should take the other path and go south.

    The poll has closed, and the robots are going south. I would have been nice if more than 1 person actually voted though. Maybe more people will vote the next time.

    Check here for the update, it will come in about a hour or 2.

    The robots have gone down the path that goes south, and the lack of animals continues.
    hspace=0http://img155.exs.cx/img155/4614/trail62jd.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path stays straight for a while, where you can only see trees and the path ahead or behind you. The robots scan for life, but none are found.

    hspace=0http://img155.exs.cx/img155/6452/trail70zs.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Then, after some more walking, the path turns right, then left, then right, the left 2 times, before turning right again. Nobody knows why it did that, it might just be to get you confused, or to give you a view of the lake.

    hspace=0http://img155.exs.cx/img155/5111/trail88jr.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path turns east after around another thousand feet, and goes towards the mountains and stays straight.

    hspace=0http://img155.exs.cx/img155/4377/trail90tb.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Soon, the path starts to go up the mountains, where it turns south again part way up the mountain.

    hspace=0http://img155.exs.cx/img155/3756/trail107br.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path continues south for awhile next to a cliff, before coming to another split. Should the robots stay on the path they are on, or go up the mountains some more?

    Remember to vote this time, I would like to see some participation.

    The mountains look great, and I think you should go up the mountain farther so you can see the entire area.

    I agree with Marvin - it would be good to get a look around from the mountain top. 19.gif

    The robots take the trail leading up into the mountains, and it soon turns to go south again.
    hspace=0http://img5.exs.cx/img5/7151/trail113es.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The air seems to be getting to have a higher sulfur content the farther south the robots go, that may have something to do with the disappearance of the animals, but no one knows yet. The path starts getting higher the farther the robots go, and soon it gets to be very close to the snowcapped peaks of the mountains, before it goes around a cliff.
    hspace=0http://img5.exs.cx/img5/2783/trail127oa.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The path soon goes down a little bit, and the mountain top lowers down enough that it is no longer covered in snow. The sulfur content is getting even higher, and is getting to the point where it would be dangerous to be in it for a long time.
    hspace=0http://img5.exs.cx/img5/2225/trail130sf.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The path soon reaches the top of the mountain, and the robots can see into the canyon between the 2 mountain ranges. Also visible in the distance is a volcano spewing out large amounts of thick black smoke, and the path seems to be going right to it. The town seems to be on the distant horizon, and can be seen as a small clearing, but no buildings are recognizable.
    hspace=0http://img5.exs.cx/img5/225/trail149ui.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The path goes right up to the volcano, and the robots can look right down into the center of it. There doesn't seem to be anything in it, other than lots of smoke, so it doesn't seem to be a threat to Myon City, which is several miles away.
    hspace=0http://img5.exs.cx/img5/576/trail154ly.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The path splits again at the base of the volcano, should the robots stay on the way they are going and go back to the west, or should the go north to the river?
    hspace=0http://img5.exs.cx/img5/217/trail167jk.jpg align=baseline border=0>

    The robots decide to go back to the west because they are starting to run low on power and it would be better to go back to Myon City than to continue deeper into the forest.

    hspace=0http://img231.exs.cx/img231/9492/trail170ll.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path soon turns north after going down into a valley, and there seems to be a decrease in the level of sulfur, even though they are still very close to the volcano.

    hspace=0http://img231.exs.cx/img231/6291/trail186cn.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path continues up the mountain, and the hill down to the water begins to get steeper as they get higher up.

    hspace=0http://img231.exs.cx/img231/2952/trail195go.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    A little farther along the robots get to an area where the cliff almost drops straight down into the water, and here they take several pictures of the river far below.

    hspace=0http://img231.exs.cx/img231/4060/trail204gw.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path soon continues up even higher, and it is now in the shadow of the mountains.

    Myon News

    Heavy rains in Myon City have caused Myon River to come very close to flooding, and plans were soon made to have an embankment along the river, and possibly a levee once the city grows more. The embankment is now under construction, and the levee is to be built once there are around 500 people living there.

    May, Year 3 (Myon Time)

    hspace=0http://img46.exs.cx/img46/6431/trail212hc.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path soon comes out of the mountain's shadow, and begins to go up to the top.

    hspace=0http://img46.exs.cx/img46/2380/trail220tt.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    At the very top of the mountain it is around 16 degrees F, and there is snow all year. Myon City still can't be seen very well, it is too far off, and the path starts going back down.

    hspace=0http://img46.exs.cx/img46/2378/trail231km.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path is now going between 2 cliffs, and there isn't much room to move around, but all the robots make it through.

    hspace=0http://img46.exs.cx/img46/7140/trail246gl.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path soon turns west again, and it levels out in the forests at the bottom of the mountains.

    hspace=0http://img77.exs.cx/img77/2866/trail53jp.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The path soon comes to another split, but then the robots notice that this was the first split they came to, but they had come out of the path they didn't take. The robots go back to Myon City, and report what they saw.

    November, Year 109 (NC time)
    November, Year 3 (Myon Time)

    The enbankment along Myon River has been completed, and should protect the town from a normal sized flood. Also, another house was built, and the largest house is now the command center.
