wow 48-27. Felt closer though. Romo interception kinda suprised me, really dumb mistake. Tom brady 370 somthing yards 5 touchdowns, incredible, randy 6-7 receptions, td, welkah had 9-10 for 114+ and 2 tds, stallworth 136 1 td, um yah....it was a pretty good game. Next weeks miami, should be fun.

The postgame exit poll was:

Who is the Patriots player of the game?

yes

no

Faulk 26.gif

Id give it to Welker for his career game.

Was a good game.

defence got tired inthe 4th, they were on the field for so long( 38 min to 21) but we did shut down thier running game to almost nothing.( 70 total yards)

100Yards of penalties. 28.gif

But we did do better  then expected

we got the Vikes next week.

that pretty much summed it up. Cowboys offense struggled in the first and fourth, making the defense work harder, they got tired, patriots unloaded on them. Welker and Brady both had the best games of their careers, id say it would be tied between the two. romo didnt play that bad, he threw the one pick, but at that point the boys were out of it.

I sure hope the Super Bowl is like that game. 3.gif  The first few possessions showed a lot of defense, mainly on New England, but the Cowboys showed they had the guts and the skills.  The Patriots hung on to their "touchdown on first possession" streak and had a good showing for the first quarter.  14-0 by the first quarter isn't too shabby. 3.gif  Come the second quarter, Dallas seemed to find its rhythm and was making plays and slowing down the Pats.  Dallas wanted to win and you could see it.  Not too sure what happened in the second half that led to the Dallas meltdown.  Whatever it was, maybe it simply was just that they were losing their physical endurance, the Patriots offense opened up both barrels and blew the Cowboys off the field.  Not that it really affected the outcome of the game, but had they made that one highly contested TD, I think that would have accelerated the decay of Dallas's defense simply because of the demoralization. Either way, that game made me glad I was watching it in high-def. 3.gif

A great quote that showed the predicament Dallas was in:  "So the Patriots only got a field goal off that drive, but it doesn't matter because they wasted 6 minutes doing it."

You gotta be friggin' kiddin' me... da Bears lost to Minnesota? Shameful! I didn't catch the game (I was out w/wifey), but I saw some stats and I think Griese did a good job except for int's..... even w/ those, 26/45 for 385 and 3 tds is pretty darned good. I suspect the team really let him down.

Saw part of the Dallas/NE game at a friend's house.....that was awesome football, but IMHO the refs were a bit jumpy at times, and utterly blind in others. Maybe that's just how it is.

manticore-yep, randy got completely screwed. he barely pushed off, but the cb was out of the play anyway.

this week we got miami, which scares the crap out of me, considering they are our biggest trap game every year.

Went 7-5 this week ( dang chiefs)

Chris chambers puts up decent numbers with the lousey QBing of the dolphins.

Rivers shoudl make good use of him,  and Chambers  will relive pressure off LT and Gates

In Sader News Ron Springs went into a Coma a couple days ago, hes the one who receivied a donated kidney from former Cowboys teammate Everson Walls seven months ago.  8.gif

slim-next year 3.gif they wouldnt do that to us..... or at least theyd give us a bye after the game.

i imagine a mid season trip to europe would spell disaster like a season opener in japan does for baseball.

I feel bad for Buffalo's Trent Edwards, the Raven's D is gonna put the hammer on that fool.

I feel bad for not commenting in here before. Since I'm from Minnesota, I'm a big Vikings fan, but yes, they will get tossed like (old) Bush's lunch on a Japanese Prime Minister.

All Dallas has to do is stop Adrian Peterson...oh wait...he's still second string...Coach Brad Childress is taking care of that part of the game for the 'Boys.

Edit:  The title under my avatar is "Patriot"  Ha! Sweet...

easybakes-kill is an understatement.

42-7 at the half

Moss has had two long tds plus a one hander in the corner that was outta bounds. brady already has thrown 5 tds.

my random thoughts

they should create an era style stat for defenses, like points per quarter or somthing.

do those girls on the beach know that cbs is filming them while they tan?

how many miami dolphins related suicide attempts have there been today?

how many td passes will matt cassel throw to bam childress for the patriots in the second half? (cause tom brady and randy moss could just sit the whole half 3.gif)

could appalachian state beat the dolphins?

^^ those are all my random thoughts for the 1st half 3.gif

Childress doesn't belong as a head coach.  The Vikes don't have a QB and there weren't even any moves to get one in the off season.  David Carr was available but "didn't fit the system".

What system?  He's barely even been a head coach!  Get a good QB and adjust!

My picks for the week:

Saints over Falcons (currently 14-13)

Bills over Ravens (everyone else in the pool picked Ravens)

Tampa over Detroit (losing that one 13-7 so far)

Washington over sad sad Arizona

Titans over Texans (I was one of three to pick Titans)

Giants over 49ers

Pats over Dolphins (your comment about Miami beating them every year made me nervous)

KC over Oakland (toilet bowl)

Jets over Bengals (risky)

Seattle over Rams (everyone in pool picked Seattle)

Dallas over Vikes

Bears over Eagles (Only one to pick Bears)

Steelers over Broncos (Denver is unfortunately a very sad team this year)

Indy over Jags (I'm not seeing the upset.  Colts are too good for that)

Those are the picks I have for my pick em pool.  I'm about 7 points down in the standings, so I need a few of those wins where I was the only one to pick a certain team (like Buffalo and Chicago)  I'm crossing my fingers

My prediction:

NE and Indy at the Super Bowl, or

NE and Dallas at the Super Bowl, or

NE and SD at the Super Bowl

NE will definetly get to the bowl! My congrads Pats!
