We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

Things may be looking up for Bears fans. Grossman will be where he belongs next week... on the bench!  Whole story here.

Edit: (responding to post below)  Anything is better than RG, I suspect we could raid the 3rd string of almost any NFL team and find an improvement. After 5 seasons, it's clear he is never going to be great, at least not for the Bears. Watch, they trade him and he turns into a decent 2nd stringer. Which is better than now...

Let no one yield, we're on the field where deeds eclipse the sun; where the brave are told on a thread of gold, the tapestry is spun. As they speak of dreams, their armor gleams, this calm before the storm... Where all can see their destiny, the bishop takes the pawn.

Yea but is Brian Griese any better?

he's pretty much failed were ever he been. Denver dumped him for Plumber, and Miami dumped him for Feidler?

Kyle Orton will be starting next week i will bet fifty bucks.'

Greekman-ha! why on earth would a quarterback and receiver on pace for perhaps the greatest season ever on a team that has a good chance to go 16-0 and win 2-3 championships leave for the chargers?

man is it nice when your team is rolling along undefeated 4.gif Last year all the press was negative about the Cowboys, this year its been nothing but love, although an aweful lot of sportswriters seem to pick them to lose every game...

Miami has a homefield advantage of their hostile heat so they will win a close one...

The Bears superior defense and special teams will crush the Cowboys...

Just some stuff out of the local newspaper, the Dallas Morning News

other than picking games, everything has been super positive 3.gif

It might technically be a year's suspension for Vick, but it might very well be it for him in the NFL, a la Ricky Williams. He obviously does not get it, and the baseball gurus should be realizing it by now.

BTW, my early call - the Bengals will be simply humiliated on Monday night.

looks like some crackhead from new york has sued the pats for 184 million dollars, claiming it was consumer fraud everytime the jets play the pats. The real cause? The Jets suck so bad he needed money to buy anti-depressents 3.gif

Hmm, best team to emerge from the NFC? Looks like either Dallas, Green Bay or Seattle. Could mention San Fran and Carolina, but eh...Dallas is deep and talented, so is Seattle. Green Bay is playing extremely well, but for how long? It's tough to say. Would be NFC Champions now include Chicago, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. They all seemed to implode at the beginning of the year. We'll see how they bounce back in the next few weeks.

Go Seahawks...

TO EVERYONE: don't pick the chargers anymore! they will lose all of there games

I am teling you it's AJ SMith's fault! If he didn't fire Marty we wouldn't be in this position

Chargers will be 1-14

*****?!?! Have you ever seen so many upsets in one week?? Ravens lost, Chargers lost, Bears lost, Steelers lost, Jets lost. Bizarre.

for MNF i pick Giants and Patriots to win

* The Cowboys and Tony Romo are the real deal. Week in and week out Romo puts up top flight passing numbers while putting his team in position for the win. Man i feel good about having him and Marion Barber on my fantasy football team at school 4.gif

Romo  looks like the he will be good for a long time.
That snap over his head he picked up and ran for a 1st down was incredible.

Ravens could just be horrible.Dont know whats happening with the chargers coaching cant be that much of a difference.

I may just stop picking these games
Packers 4-0?
Lions 3-1

Erm, Seahawks over San Fran? Oh yes, easily. This is the Seahawks division, and if it weren't for Dallas, it would their NFC too...

See, and that's why I couldn't understand the decision by the Chargers owner to sack Marty, when they finally got the ball rolling for once. I mean, who fires the coach when the team is actually doing good?

The Cowboys did with Jimmy

Norv Turner is a good offensive coach but he seems to be one of those

coaches who for some reason fails as head coach.

If those Chargers Fireings had taken place in a differnt order

Marty would be coaching the Cowyboys now and Wade would still be with the chargers.

Is Wade a good coach?

Ok what's the problem with the Chargers?

Players OR coaches?

It's the coaches I know it!
