I'm watching the halftime report on Fox.  They made a passing reference to a guy being taking off the field with a back injury. I didn't catch who it was but he was sitting up on the golf cart and didn't have a neck brace on so it didn't look too bad.quote>

Well, I'm not sure what injury you're thinking of, but I think the one that Marc is referring to is Cedric Killings of the Texans.  At some point in the first half, he had a head-to-head collision with someone from the Colts and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher.

So far, we were down Andre Johnson before the game for a knee injury.  Now, we've got Jacoby Jones going in for x-rays on his shoulder, Ahman Green out for the game with a knee injury, and Cedric Killings out for who knows how long. 41.gif

Even you have to admit that those are god aweful looking uniforms.

That yellow just burns the eyes.quote>

Those are indeed awful uniforms.  What color blind person picked those?

Later, we can see the Skins wearing their least popular throwback jerseys.  75th anniversary and all that.quote>

Let's just hope that they're better than the Eagles jerseys.  Those things are so freaking awful.

The Philadelphia Eagles are supposed to look like this:

But, at the moment, they look like this:

Awful, if you ask me

I just saw the uniforms, and they look terrible. Like something straight out of the 70's or worse.

Ski, I'm not too sure when that first picture was taken, but the jersey's don't look so hot there either.

Don't get me wrong:  70s clothes were ugly.  but, even back then, they were *that* ugly.  18.gif

Well, even after they took out four of our key players, the Texans still managed to keep it within a touchdown of the Colts. Dissing our team as a practice squad has been officially outlawed. 16.gif

Meg: The whole thing about the ugly clothes fits perfectly with the disco era. 3.gif

Very true, VT  3.gif

The Skins throwback jersey from that era show the same tendency toward glaring hues but at least the colors blend a bit better.

Edit: yes, puke color was a popular color.  I guess you've repressed the memories of those days.  not that I blame you.

It must have been hard to take watching Skins eagles back then.

well, i didnt get to see it, but the patriots run over the opponent again, 38-7. Brady threw 4 tds, hes got 10 on the season now, he keeps it up he will set some records this year. catching, randy had 2 tds and 115 yards, and wes welker had an awesome long catch, then he lateraled to randy. Samuel had his first pick too! next week should be fun, tom brady will light up cincis terrible defense.

VT-can't wait to see the texans wear throwback unis....O wait! THEY CAN'T!!!! OOOOOOOO 3.gif

8.gif 1-2 that's not good! At least it's still early in the season

I think the problem with the Chargres is the new headcoach. It will take some time for the Chargers and Turner to work things out

You mean that seeing those throwback uniforms today didn't make you want the Texans to have uniforms that were designed by someone doing heavy drugs?  3.gif

Actually, I shouldn't say that.  The helmets the Skins wore today were designed by Vince Lombardi when he was the coach here.   He was a good guy.

Sorry about the 'Skins, meg. Even though I root for lil Manning to look good, I was hoping that the four teams of top two rivalries, Colts/Patriots and Redskins/Cowboys would 12-0. Makes for great office cooler talk at work.

OK, the Skins were an exception.  However, you hit the sentiment right on the head. 3.gif

Joe: You guys took out four of our players.  What did we ever do to you? 3.gif

Wow, that Eagles uniform....What a joke, someone needs a smack in the head.....

Edit: at half, Bears/Dallas 3-3...Nice defense job by the Bears.

An old standard phrase from Chicago, applied as necessary to all pro teams in the city: "There's always next year!".

manticorefan-didnt that phrase orginally come from boston?

VT-well, see, the texans current uniforms are pretty good, so 20 years from now they will have good throwback unis, unless we all of the sudden decide the current ones suck. the patriots have some pretty tricky throwbacks, they havnt worn them since 2002 thanksgiving though. which brings me to my next point. Thanksgiving was created in massachusetts, so why don't the patriots get the thanksgiving game every year, but the lions do? 3.gif

TMS-one team will leave 6-0. and it aint gonna be the cowboys. the way I see it, unless randy moss's legs snap in half (which actually may happen, have you seen how thin they are? they are like this wide | | ) the patriots are going to be 16-0/15-1. I have never seen a team dominate like this.

WTH is wrong with the Saints? 0-3?

Did they just seriously over achive last season?

I hate to say this, but the Saints have returned to their normal status.  Last year, they were fueled by Katrina and a serious desire to win.  I'm not at all surprised that the Saints are 0-3 so far.  Their track record is that they are basically a team that exists to make money and give games away to the competition. 41.gif

well its a combination of no defense, poor offensive play, and now deuce's injury. last year, i guess it was a blessing that there D held up, because i can name maybe two of their defensive players. this year its the same d, but now they are playing like they regularly do. On offense i cant explain whats up, but, best case scenerio, reggie bush starts making plays instead of always trying to break one now that he gets the majority of the touches.

Sad thing, i really like the saints.

Greekman-cept a D and not many playmakers on the O-line. being a chargers boy you may not like this but Drew Brees has not done well at all. leads the league in interceptions.

Some great news. "Sexy Rexy" 3.gif Grossman ( I couldn't resist, funny nickname ever) Is finally being benched in favor of Brian Greasi Greasy...been so long since hes started i cant even spell his name!
