U-m-m, i should be more patient 21.gif
Anyway, i've decide to take a break from BPS and work on my own embankment :}

Actually, i want to create some european (or Moscow-like) embankment. And te most important thing - diagonal feature that will allow.. well, you know %}

Let me show some pics i have. The work in progress, many things must be added and changed.

But, i already have some thoughts about usability of this future set.
It may contain about 8-15 lots.. is it be too much? May be, but the project is to create unical segments for every type of embankment angle:
- orthogonal-diaonal (inner and external);
- orthogonal-orthogonal (inner and external);
- diagonal-diagonal (inner and external);

A staircase lot to water access also planned.

So is there anybody intrested in this stuff? :}

Beautiful!!!44.gif
Please release them, they fit for many different areas!

On a side note, is there any chance that you would release your underwater power line in your journal? Pleeeeease, those are much more cooler than the overhead cables19.gif

WOW! You read my mind! I'm working on a special type of city and was looking all over for Pegasus's River Tool Kit. (I even e-mailed him.. No reply..) This is great! As soon as it's out, I'll be among the first to download it for sure!

Oppie's Canal set is wonderful, but nothing beats in-game water!44.gif

what about a transition for oppies canals? I think you could do it with this lots. Just make a lot where the canal comes out. (I hope you understand what I mean)

this would be great. i like the look of it very much. someone mentioned about a bridge piece, maybe this could be done like pegs pond and river kits. he made a 1x2 water piece where 1 square was able to be placed under elev. rail and monorail. no sure if that would help at all.

jarnomiedema: pegs rtk in not hard to find, its been on the stex for awhile now. search under his name.

That's awesome and very useful!  I am very happy you made those... For a long time I was thinking about making such myself, by changing some of Peg's stuff... With these lots I can make realistic waterfronts... where I don't want to have a green waterfront, or a harbour... I will have to change some existing waterfronts in my cities, but I will be happy to do so with your lots! 19.gif

1. Looks awful - like I am used from your lots 44.gif

2. Okay - I had´ve dl a lot of Waterfront Tiles (especially PEG) but you allways need some more ... 2.gif because - every Waterfront - and especially river waterfronts look different somehow - and isn't it the search for variety why we look all on the STEX for new BATs and lots?

3. I know a lot of river waterfronts in europe who have the same look like your tiles. In my eyes they seem to be really useful - I would definately download them

4. Please integrate some pieces for bridges like PEG did for his Pond / river sets

5. A transition to oppies Kanal set (and eventually to SimGoobers Irrigation Set?????) would make it a 1000 % must-have download!! 9.gif

Anyway - keep on going with your excellent work!!!!

A BAT made by Marrast is ALLWAYS a must-have in my eyes!!!!36.gif

The textures are just stunning [:0] Waterfronts have been in a big need for diversity. Good work and can't wait to see how this developes.

    Holy cow!
    Thanks to all for the comments! 9.gif

    Well, i'm not sure about pedestrian enabled feature. Those lots are 1x1 or 1x2 (or 1x3) tiles, so this feature will not work anyway.
    They will be only eyecandy with some effects like park effect, or something.

    About bridge segment. Yes, yes ofcourse! This set will have a segment to fill underbridge holes. I think that it would be two lots: for one tile wide brigde, and for two tiles wide bridge.

    About Oppie's canal set and SimGoober's Irrigation Set. Well may be 9.gif I'm not sure, cause this set will work on any bank height, so there will be a height difference between the real water and canal water in most of cases. But i will think about it :}

    So, and now some new stuff. Yesterday i've finished an external diagonal-orthogonal corner segment:

    emb005.jpg

    So that's how it looks at this time:

    emb004.jpg

    And during testing finished segments, i've founded that they looks pretty good with ingame ferries:

    emb006.jpg

    emb007.jpg

    So, the next will be another two diagonal-orthogonal corner segments...
    As i've said, this set will contain about 8-15 lots. Every lot will have it's own purpose. So, i think that we will need something like a tutorial to use this set correctly 41.gif
