I`m Ross, i`m 24 and from the UK, i`m a long time fans of "most" of the sims games, infact sim city and sim city 2000 were the main reasons i got into computing (i just needed to play them at home!). After browsing for a few days my mind has been blown by what i've seen, i've only just fount the noobie thread!!

If some one can point me in the direction of some city beautification / modding tips it would be great. I`m guilty of building the dreaded grids, but then i like in a place called Milton Keynes!!! (google it.... scary!!)

Well since the Maxis site seems dead, (I havnt had time to play games for quite a while) I found this place, tx guys, most of u seem great. After reading a few forums and downloading a few mods that I cant wait to try, I guess im joining. I'm 28 and been a simcity fan since it was released on that old and doesnt work no more SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainement System for u young folk who never even seen an Atari 2600, lol) I used to be a hardcore gamer, but life, work, sex, ect... tends to keep me away from my games more than I'd like. Hope to spend hours in the coming months on this site.

p.s. I'd type more but the dishes wont clean them selves and i aint rich enough for a maid

Haha, Welcome Quickcola!  Its great to have you on board!  Wow, we have a simcitier from the beginning, I remember my best friend has simcity on the Super Nintendo, I used to go to his place just to play simcity!  I'm sure you'll fit right in here, from the stuff on the STEX we really have no need for Maxis anymore anyway!

Hiya and welcome to the site! I remember the SNES console as well as PSOne and Dreamcast. I also remember those Sega Megadrives that used to be selling like hot pancakes.

Betcha don't remember the Commodore Amiga, which, along with Apple Macs, were the first computers that SimCity was published for. Will wrote it for C64, but that machine was dying, so it was re-written for Amiga.

Anyway, welcome Quickcola...always good to have a more mature member lol, all these young geniuses can be quite depressing to us old fogies.
