Hi Matt.... once who go through all of Simtropolis, you will find out a lot of people are from Edmonton as well. There is actually a CJ all about your city. I'm sure you can find, but if you can't just ask and I'll send you the link.

I'm glad to see the changes in the New Members section. And the change to the title of the thread.
Thanks Cheese89 and the admins.

Hi Matt! A lot of people have joinned this site because of there reintrest into SC4. I didn't though. I was playing SC3K Unlimited for a while and got bored with it then moved on to other games. Then I bought SC4 and and couple months later I got a new computer for my birthday. I installed SC4 on it but unfortunitley I didn't not have an internet jack thing near by so in June, I joined Simtropolis on my Dad's computer. Later, I got DSL hooked up to my compter and now I'm happy and have the ability to be active at Simtropolis.
Man, what you just read could easily become my memoir for english 17.gif. Well, enjoy your stay at Simtropolis and Private Message me if you need help.

Hello Everyone,

I'm in a 20-30 age category, I live in San Diego, CA.  I'm a designer for a company that restores and colorizes classic movies and we also have done some special effects work.  One of the movies our company has worked on is the Aviator.  I also have had the good fortune to travel to India 2 times now to train people over there on our software.  (we have a production facility there).  The trip to India consists of a flight from LA to Singapore than to New Delhi.  The reason I mention this is because I get to spend a day in Singapore and everytime I'm there I think about SimCity!  It looks just like a city you would make in Sim City.  It is also a very exciting place because it is really booming and they are constantly building up and up.  All those Eastern countries are sure benefiting from our western corporations!  Anyway, I have really enjoyed this site since joining a little over a year ago.  It is full of wonderful, creative and imaginitive people.  In fact, I don't think the game Sim City would even be the same anymore if this site didn't exist.  1.gif

Hello! Welcome to Simtropolis Jaxx, Demolisher, and Matt!

Welcome to simtropolis! I hope you all enjoy it here!

Matt, you play starcraft? I love that game! Is there still a community out there for it? I used to play that game a while ago, and I really enjoyed it. ALthough I wasn't too good at it! 21.gif But I don't think it works on my XP, I should try it sometime.

Its great that you refound your love for simcity, I did that about six months ago, and like you I came here, and I've been here ever since!

As for myself, I brought simcity the first day it came out, just like I brought SC3K Unlimited the first day it came out. While I'm kinda young, I've been playing since SC2000 (classic was a bit too early for me). So I'm a long term simcity player I guess, and I've had way over a year here at simtropolis (500 days), although I haven't really been active except for the last 6 months or so.

I'm saying all this because I just realised that I never actually introduced myself here. But anyway, I'm 15 and a student in Mornington, Australia. (near Melbourne)

Cheers everyone!

Hi, my name's Pete, I'm an illustrator and I live in Seattle, WA, USA. I'm rapidly approaching 40 years of age and have been playing Sim City since the beginning. I skipped a few versions but I've been eager to jump into SC4 for some time. Being on a Mac, I had to wait and wait, then I discovered my computer wasn't going to be powerful enough... more time passes and eventually I have a new Mac just in time to find out that SC4 Deluxe is on the horizon. More time passes and when Deluxe finally hits shelves I'm in the middle of a deadline, so I just add it to my Christmas list.

So, while I'm a week away from actually getting the game, I've been busy prowling Simtropolis and downloading some wonderful stuff (and yes, I'll donate some $$ after the bank account has recovered from Christmas). It's a delight to see all this creativity and enthusiasm for a game I've always loved. Some of the Lots are absolutely mind-blowing.

Obviously being on a Mac means I won't be taking any tries at BATs myself but that's probably just as well as I should spend my limited free time actually playing the game.

So, now I'm going to go ask a question of the NDEX people. Their global essentials dat won't appear when I use Filejuicer (I just get a txt file - that's it!) and the non-.exe version they put in the Dakota Park Place download has had the essentials file removed.

Hi!

I'm from Las Vegas, live in Eagle Lake, TX (near Houston), and go to college in Athens, TX (near Tyler, close to Dallas).  I love the entire SimCity Series and have all of them on my computer except the very first one.  And SimGoober, I think it's your suburban mall, but it looks EXACTLY like the mall in Tyler...three dept. stores, one right in front of you as you enter, two at the end of two corridors full of smaller shops...I laughed so hard when I first saw it!9.gif

Well, hello, everyone! I have been a member for a little over a month now, but I have just discovered this wonderfully wonderous forum of wonder.

I am 14 and I just recently moved to Austin, TX. I've owned SC4 since the february after its release, (in other words, a long time) and it just happened to engulf the delightful position of being my favorite game. I am being more happy than usual. Anyways, I decided to do a little research on it, and found this place. What's with all these commas? So, I enjoy the STEX and the forums. I especially like the incredible BATs from simgoober... Mmyep...

I seem to enjoy the twisted works of Jhonen Vasquez. Hmm... I make comics and films and stuff, I am an artist. I am starting off as a computer animator using Lightwave 3D, but am horrible at 3DS Max. Grrr... brain not functioning normally... 9.gif Happy holidays!
