Hello everyone, my name is Michael, and I live just outside Atlanta. I've been on Simptropolis for a while now but have never gotten around to posting. Simcity 4 is really the only game I have time to ever play (my 4 yr old takes care of the rest of my time)

Been a long time and not too many familiar faces. Short of the long, my comp crashed, I lost ALLL my work and new models in progress. Then we moved. Just now getting back into the game. Real life been kicking my butt a little too. But I'm back and maybe I'll ante up and kick in something new soon.

Heya, I only found out about this site over the summer and its great. I stopped playing years back, but only just started again because of it. Taking inspiration from city journals just makes my cities twice as fun to grow. Just hoping it isn't too late to contribute my time to it whilst the game is still the best out there.

Hello Everyone,

What a treat finding this website. I'm completely new to SimCity 4, and am feeling totally and completely overwhelmed by it's potential - increased massively by the offering of Simtropolis!

When I'm not being the Mayor of one of my inferior cities, I am a doctor in England (although I'm actually Scottish!)

My dream is to create a replica of Glasgow in SimCity 4 - but I'm realising this will likely take years!!!!!!! (and me always be just a dream)

For the moment, I'll be happy when I can build a nice looking city with a huge Mayor's mansion with a tennis court, swimming pool, private golf course and helipad!

Nice to be here, and among such talented people as yourselves.

Hello! I am Xavier. I am 16 years old, residing in Rizal province in the Philippines, and am currently a Chemical Engineering sophomore at the University of the Philippines. I am practically new to SC4, but I had the game years ago. I just didn't have the correct system to run the game (imagine having 64MB of RAM and a 533MHz processor today. You find those specs in cellphones nowadays!). But now that I have a new system (Core 2 Duo with a gig of ram; bare in current standards, but fits my needs, don't feel like getting a Quad, especially with a Filipino college student's budget) I was able to install the game. So far, I am having a great time with SC4, and finding this little gem of a website made the experience somewhat better for me. I'm also trying to sharpen my English by joining up here, so forgive me if something in my writing is grammatically or stylistically wrong.

Before SC4, I played The Sims 1 (a lot, which might be the reason why my old PC broke down on me), SimCity3000, Tropico, and Civilization 3. I plan on getting EITHER Societies, Cities Unlimited or Spore within the next year (not all or two of them; again, student's budget...). Aside from computer games, I'm also into conworlding (Google this one if you don't know), eating out, hanging out with my friends, television, and to a certain extent, snorkeling.

Well, that's about it. I'll see y'all around the forum! And I hope I can manage to contribute to the community soon. I have a couple of ideas. Who wants a jeepney in SC4?

Dave here, 29, and a zoning attorney here in Washington DC. So basically my idea of a good time is to take what I do every day for work and then do it in my free time as well . But seriously, Sim City really built up a passion for urban planning and land use issues, and I'm continually impressed with the way the franchise has added more realism with each wave. It's a lot of fun, and it's much easier to enjoy the rezoning process when you don't have to deal with pesky neighbors trying to fight you every step of the way.
