The entire update is great, of course, but I want to point out how wonderful the road along the water front by the fort looks (pic 56.10).   The way it winds around the building is perfect.  I think alot of time it is these types of simple yet wonderful looking details that go without notice.

Fantastic as usual!  I agree with dhoppeii, the way the road meanders along is a great detail.  Many people (myself included) would have just barreled straight along, but the way you've done it looks much better.  I have a question about pic 56.1...how did you make those two stone structures where the road runs along the mountain?  Is it a mod?

I have to say that I've subscribed to SCR.  My inbox is much more cluttered, but well worth it 29.gif

Keep up the good work!

A very good update. One suggestion, about the tunnels? They looked good, but often around here (I don't know about in the Baleares) they put a toll booth in front of a big tunnel or bridge, as it helps pay for the ridiculous costs they incur. It might look nicer if you put one of those in. Some person by the name of something like snoopy has made some really good ones...but I bet you have it already. 2.gif

I see there's gonna be some more development in Sa Pusa! Great! The images you showed last update of Sa Pusa look astonishing..

Costa Tramuntana.. The path along the water looks great, and the subtle use of your new trail parks does too! I personally believe that you're using a bit too much W2W buildings here, it looks a bit repetitive, don't you think? But I imagine if you add a few modern looking (not to tall) buildings, the whole might turn out as perfectly balanced as most of your creations!! 9.gif

Looking forward to updates on both towns/cities!!

@utora, jacqulina, doggyman: I believe you're pointing to the 'underbridge' piece of the marrast embankment set. It's placed next to the bridge, but extends to under the bridge. A neat idea of marrast!

Hola Jeroni,

The back country of Sa Pusa looks like a little place that modern time forgot! 25.gif

Costa Tramuntana is up to a great start, my preference goes to pic 56.11 the whole setup of the church is fantastic! 44.gif

And as I've already said in a earlier post, the idea of putting a clipper ship near the fort is another fine touch!19.gif

Take care amigo

Hello, Jeroni.

THIS is a great update and I will take much pleasure in writing my comments.

Sa Pusa
56.1  Jeroni, you give even making a road grace and elegances!  It looks so much more natural to have your road winding up the hill rather than simply straightly following the rise and fall of it.  I really like the winding roads!  I certainly would not have wanted to be on the construction crew building the foundation pieces on those two curves!  THAT would have been a frightening job.  Also, I sure hope that road has good guard rails.  < grin >

56.2 and .3  I do like the way you vegitate your areas.  It is so very obvious that you take much time and real effort in making your areas as realistic as possible.  It is that extra time and effort that makes reading your CJ so enjoyable.

I like this double tunnel.  It is quite tight against the clifs and does make for a very nice connector between Sa Pusa and the river.  I'm also quite sure that this would be a wonderfully scenic drive.  Hmm...  top down convertible in the fall with a slight nip in the air and a hot woman next to me...
Whoops!  Got a bit too far away that time...  < grin >

56.4 and .5  I really enjoy this view.  One can get a real sense of the fall of the land and the small community below the road.   I can just picture myself at the top of the cliff amongst the trees just drinking in the beauty of this view.   I'm curious.  In this small community, the curved piece and the far piece of the street appear to be dirt?

56.6  This is truly a wonderful view of the region.  I do like these views (as I've stated before) because they really give one a tied together sense of how the region looks and fits together.    This is great, Jeroni!

I'm quite interested in the valley to the north and east of the tunnel system.  I can see quite a bit of development pontential in this piece of ground.  As your CJ runs two to three weeks behind real time, have you developed this area by now?

Costa Tramuntana
56.7  With the river as a dividing line between the farms and the developing island, I believe that they fit together okay.  It looks like the farmers may have some problems keeping the fields next to the river wet enough.  The land looks like is has a rather pronounced slope towards the river that would probably keep the fields drained and not retain water very well...

56.8 and .9  Your seawalls certainly make the waterfront nice to look at.  I really enjoy the promenade along the top of the walls.  One could certainly enjoy a leisurely walk along it.  The W2W buildings you are using look quite nice when formed into a block.  It could get quite boring looking out of the windows in the courtyard, though.  I've not used any W2W buildings yet.  They seem to be repeat quite a bit.  are you aware of any that have different facades that would break up the same look they tend to give?

56.10  Ah, the fort!  Its placement looks much better now although the little villiage looks a bit strange stuck out on the water next to it.

56.11  I like the church you've placed in what you call the old city center.  I must say it still looks like a governmental complex to me rather than an old city center...

Thank you for this good update you've given us, Jeroni.  This has been a very nice glimpse into your developing Costa Tramuntan area and a very refreshing look at how Sa Pusa is being finished.  I look forward to your next update.

Regards,

Vandy

Very well done region. It is apparent that you are taking great care in the design and creation of each part of your cities, with many of the designs being quite imaginative. I must admit that I will be 'borrowing' some of your wonderfull design ideas.

    Hi, Jeroni.

I do enjoy posting replies in your CJ.  It is very easy for me to post long replies because you provide such a wealth of material to comment on.  This is a wonderful CJ.

    Sa Pusa
57.1 and .2  I've said this before but please let me say it again.  I really enjoy being able to see your areas naked and then after you've placed your vegetation and your transit system.  It gives one some great examples of how to place trees and transit in the area.  Maybe its just that I like the god-like ability to view the before and after.  Whatever it is, I do appreciate your showing us both.

57.3, .4 and .5  You've been able to develop a very nice commecial center.  I assume access to the two fountains will be by foot since I don't see a path to either one?  Perhaps we can meet at the Best Buys and wander through the music aisles and discuss the merits of oldies versus today's music.  (Of course, what is an oldie to me may be ancient for you, I'm not sure?)  < grin >

    Costa Tramuntana
57.6  The Old Center is really taking shape.  I must say that I now agree that it is looking more and more like an old town center rather than a governmental complex.  I like the addition of the church.  It adds quite a bit of character to the area.  Also, I like your use of ponds in your green spaces.

57.7  I really like the way your buildings seem to press closely with the other buildings especially near the fort.  It gives it a very authentic old world feel and charm.

57.8 and .9  I do like this basilica.  I definitely will be using this in my cities.  Thank you for the link to the lot.  It is very attractive and really gives a sophisticated air to your area.

57.10  I am quite impressed with the way this area is filling out.  You are doing a wonderful job with your building.  I'm looking forward to your finishing this area.

Thank you for another great update, Jeroni.

    Regards,

    Vandy

What are you exactly asking for?. The church is linked under pic 57.9. The Spanish looking buildings are the:

Whats that lot called, the footbridge? Is it on the STEX?
Otherwise looking great as usual, its really those tiny lots, and how you use them to integrate the individual builidngs into their surroundings that sets your stuff apart. I'm on to your little secret 3.gif

    Jeronij,

First of, great updates the last few of them, i thought it was time for me to make another comment, since its been awhile since i last did.
Also, i just noticed the size of your pics, very irregular i think, 773px * 575px, any partucular reason?

The pictures i liked the most, in the most recent update is,
57.6: The Angle and everything just fits so nicley together, and w2w is never wrong... well maby in extreemly hillay areas ^^
57.9: Closeups are allways a favorite, A very nice BAT surounded realisticly and it all looks very nice. Though it would have been nice with some traffic in the streets, just for those small details.

    -More than this to read?
    -yes...

Also id just like to note i borrowd the idea you have for naming pics, giving them numbers, i think its really smart, so much easier to comment, and people dont really need to repost a pic in the journal, just point to the pic. Im currently using it im my newst cj, hope you dont mind.

okey, i guess i could write more, but ive got to get to bed now, only a few hours left b4 i need to rise ^^

    Cheers
    /Sim

Very, very nice update. I love the new commercial center, and a Best Buy, w00t. I think that'll be a place I will visit alot in CR. 57.10 is unbeliveable. The Madrid and the Medditerranean buildings make the rest of the buildings and the water color almost blend in with the surroundings. I just really love the OLD CENTER. Once again very nice update.

Wait..and to answer utora's question, and lonaryl said the answer but I'll post the link to help him.

Keep up the great work jeronji
