Does the Lot Editor have a limit on props on a lot?

Currently relotting the massive "Tropicana Casino" and I've reached a point where the program isn't saving my most recent additions. It says it saved fine, the file shows it's been updated yet when I open the lot in SimCity or the Lot Editor those additions have gone!

When you first make the lot, save it with a new name. Come back in and edit it and just hit save. You have created a savfile. Put the lot and savfile in a folder. Open the lot back up again and make edits. Save. Now take that savfile and put it in the folder. You'll be asked if you want to replace the original. Say yes, and done.

I must be missing some key part of the process here.*:???:

How do I get the .sav files to show, I only see those files when I'm editing with SC4Tool.  I think that may be where I'm going wrong

Hi @Lazarou Monkey Terror, I believe you are correct. There is a maximum limit to props on a lot.
I've ran into this as well, at some point the props added are just not saved anymore (unless you remove a prop).

Not sure what the max count of props is (quite a lot), but I had to split some of my larger lots to make it work.

Newbie's question (maybe I should create a topic for that and not contaminate this one)

SC4 PIM-X and SC4 PIM Extended are 2 different programs?

Darn it! Pretty sure I've hit that limit with this massive lot.

Going to have to delete and prioritise some stuff I guess?

You should get a savfile every time you save, providing your lot is in a folder.

There is a maxismum ITEM limit on a LOT which includes the textures (both base and overlay), props, land and water marker tiles etc... If I remember correctly this limit is around 1280 items per lot.

That explains why my initial attempts, years ago, came to failure. Nice to have a number(not that I'm going to keep count whilst working). I try not to load up my lots with props, so I have space for mmp's. Allows me to give a different look to the same lot.
