Hello! I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I have a couple of files I would like to upload that are based on LEX dependencies and seemingly are no longer available, since I haven't managed to find them on SC4Evermore. I happen to have the original downloads in an old laptop and could help restoring them, but I don't know if this should be done at Simtropolis or elsewhere.

What SC4E / LEX dependencies are missing?

Hi there!

Well, it isn't the right place, but since more or less I'm the main person behind the STEX Custodian (along with Corina and CB) and also I'm the main person (along with Ulisse Wolf and Tarkus) behind the LEX Restoration on SC4Evermore, your message found its address *:thumb: I think there should be an Introducing SC4Evermore topic somewhere on ST, that's where the former LEX related stuff usually go as they all fall under the SC4Evermore Project.

It would be better if you let us know here or in the mentioned SC4Evermore topic on ST, or send me a DM about the files that you found and miss. Basicly we have all the files that were on LEX and as far as I know most of the dependencies were already rehosted apart from some NDEX related and SC4Polska related contents.

Hello!

Hiya!

And yes, this is as good as any place to ask.

@Tyberius06 is the expert on what's what and what is still in the works to be restored. If you have a list of your files and post here that might be the easiest. *;)

Yes, indeed he was.

And how do you expect this information to be organized?
Something like this, like I got from the Safari Park, as example?

Filename: OppieSafariPark_ac175751.SCLot
Exemplar Name: OppieSafariPark
Plop Cost: 30000
Monthly Cost: 300
Bulldoze Cost: 40
Wealth: High Wealth
Menu: Parks
Growth Stage: Ploppable
Instance: 0xAC175751
Dependencies:
SimCity 4 Buildings as Props: bldgprop_vol1.dat

If I may, I could help you.

Hi @marcio1977, thanks for checking in and for the offer to help.

@Tyberius06 is our resident file guru and handles the refurbishing of these 'lost file' uploads. I know he has a process in the way he organizes things, so it might be more appropriate for him to address your question. He'll have a better idea on the logistical requirement to get things ready for the STEX.

On my end, I was simply planning to work on attaching images for these and post any important informatiom like dependencies. Any input related to that could be helpful - kind of like an abreviated version of your example above.

Thanks again... :)

If you have the capacity and motivation, yes, thanks for the offer. The readme stats that you proposed are mostly ok, I would change a few things, though:

Filename: OppieSafariPark_ac175751.SCLot
Exemplar Name: OppieSafariPark Name: Oppie - Safari Park
Plop Cost: 30000
Monthly Cost: 300
Bulldoze Cost: 40
Wealth: High Wealth
Menu: Parks
Growth Stage: Ploppable
Instance: 0xAC175751
Dependencies:
SimCity 4 Buildings as Props: bldgprop_vol1.dat and or Maxis Prop Names and Query Fix
https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/22400-maxis-prop-names-and-query-fix/

or

Maxis Buildings As Props and DLC Props
https://www.sc4evermore.com/index.php/downloads/download/40-maxis/14-maxis-buildings-as-props-and-dlc-props-v2-1

However what I'm usually doing is setting up a dedicated folder structure to uploads, where the parent folder (which would go straight into the Plugins folder) is the name of the creator or team. In this case it would be a single creator Oppie. So in the above case it would look like this:

Oppie/Safari Park/OppieSafariPark_ac175751.SCLot - See the attached ZIP for example.

In the case of the automatas, an extra subfolder could be inserted, like Oppie/Automatas/SCC Bus.

If you could do this, that would defintely speed up the process to re-host these files on STEX properly.

Thanks in advance!

Oppie's Files

@oppie was a very creative member of the SimCity 4 community who published many noteworthy items on SimCityCentral and other websites within the SC4 world. There are some of his creations currently on the STEX, however, much of his work was on other sites. As those sites closed out, access to his material became limited. With that in mind, and in the interest of the community, we are collecting Oppie's materail here. These items will be in the condition that they were in as of the date of their previous upload. Eventually, we hope to get things organized and updated in order to uploaded them onto the STEX. Please post if there are any errors in links.

Please Note: All automata regarding rail replaces the Maxis default items. On the other hand, all automata regarding buses are additional that do not replace the Maxix buses.

While the content of the original files remains the same, they have been re-structured to prepare them for possible uploading to the STEX. Team Grater - Patriots

Team Grater was a team that provided content during the early 2000's. The team consisted of various members that uploaded individually and as a team. We will provide as much material here as possible, keeping in mind that the files will be offered in good faith as a benefit to the community in order to restore missing or previously unavailable material. The content is provided mostly in the original form. The only exception being that any installers have been removed as well as other file structure changes to align with Project ZIP parameters. Files will need to be installed manually. Also, any Readme information will currently be the original requirements. Therefore, please keep in mind that there may very well be newer versions of listed files.

Team Grater - Misc.

Files released under the Team Grater banner by various team members. As with the previous releases, these are original files in the process of being reorganized to follow the Project ZIP file structure. Due to this being very much a work in progress, any dependencies listed may no longer be available and should be checked for newer versions.

Thanks.

Creators sometimes compiled the standard SC4 file types into a single .dat file. Using DatPacker is an example when this would happen. In such cases, the dat file would be the only one needed.

There are a few dependencies listed in the Readme. They would not be included in the .dat file since they were made by some one else. I believe those files would be where the building models and the textures are pulled from.

@vw_oklahoma you need the BSC Common Dependencies download and some of the dependency files from that huge pack. By the way the updated and to be restored version of the JFM Commercials and Industrials are on the SC4Evermore back-end server waiting to be published, but currently we lack of time to do so.

However I don't understand where you get your copy of these JFM lots. These were part of the BSC JMyers Small Shops Vol03 (when they were released on SC4Devotion LEX) and the model files were in the *.exe file. In fact the original version of these lots were never DATpacked, the new updated version (which is currently unavailable for the public) will have DATs instead of the sc4lot+sc4desc+sc4model files, but as I said that is currently unavailable. So what kind of upload you have where you got DATs instead of the original lot files?!

EDIT: Have you got the version from this post above? Well you need the original models. Cafe Naver (Korean site) might have the original installers available with the models, otherwise you need to wait until we manage to upload the restored versions (SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC JMyers Commercials Compilation V1 pack), in which case you will have to look for the BSC BATProps JMyers - Commercial Pack.dat in that new pack.

Yes, if you could share the files it would be much appreciated. I will attempt to locate the textures.

Tyberius06 - i got the file that was listed on this thread. Just want to try and get it to work. Thanks for your help.  I have the BSC common dependencies pack. I will try updating it. Perhaps my version is out of date? Looking forward to the release of the JMyers pack. Thanks again.

You need the parking textures from this upload:

SC4D LEX Legacy - XDs Parking Lot Dependency Pack

As I see in the readme you also need the SFBT Essentials/SFBT_stephenhh_Props.dat

And the BSC Common Dependencies/BSC MEGA Props JMyers Common Props.dat

And if @sejr99999 can share the original model files from the BSC JMyers Small Shops Vol03.

While the files show dates of 2005, they are the same files (growables) as those installed with the installer version of JMyers Small Shops 3 dated 2007.

When I was checking the TG files to attach them in the above post, I was using the JMyers Shop 3 models as well as the other dependencies mentioned in @Tyberius06's list. All seemed to work well.
