I would like to pay for SimCity 4 support

Hi All,

I know, I will find everything in the internet, but it is for me extremely time consuming, and I would like to come fast to the point. Since a long time already I want to use some specific mods to SimCity 4, and I would like to pay around 30 EUR for someone who would like to help me with that.

1. Using SimCity 4 with European Buildings, Streets etc. + in general how to enrich building library with landmarks and so on.

2. Adjusting the size of the cities - I saw very large cards on the internet, but don't know how to create those.

3. Different Architecture over the time: I know there is a functionality that changes the architecture of new buildings over the time. I would like to do this in an european style.

If you would like to help me, let me know here, a skype session would be the best to go through the installation process etc. If you want more money, let me know. The payment would work via an official ebay display, to ensure everything is set up properly.

If this is what you mean by "european style"...

Then I might be able to help in this. It's a snap from a city in my region Branny. CJ here:

I use eastern european and mediterranean wall-to-wall buildings and northern european single houses. I also use Roman Aqueducts and Polish churches. I also have market stalls and medieval buildings and ports.

As for large cities, I don't know if you mean city tiles or region dimensions. For the former I don't know, but the latter I can help. It's a matter of playing around with the region config file.

As for changing architecture over time, with mods is a bit difficult to manage, as mods are not setup properly to interact with the SC4 native architecture style manager. But I noticed that some of my wall-to-wall buildings get activated with the european style. Others might get activated by other styles, while if I stick to 1890 style (the first one) I only get simple single houses and small density polish wall-to-wall.

If this is what you're looking for I can point to you the downloads. In case you're looking for a block download I believe Simtropolis sells a DVD with best content but I don't know if the stuff you're looking for is in it. I might be able to assist you if what you read/saw above is what interests you, but I'm by no means an expert :P All I can do is show you how I did it for mine. I suppose you're looking to build a european style city of some magnitude...

Might those have been pictures of whole regions? If so, then what you need is a mod that stitches together the images of several cities. If not, then maybe pointing to one of these huge cards will give us an idea of what you mean.

Quite possibly.

@FlipFlow I use Sawtooth's Region Census v0.8 to create my big pictures:

^ I then edited in the population numbers in my image editing program.

Someone (in chat) some time ago mentioned that this one can go wacky if the region gets too large. I've not had a problem myself, but there is another one out there they recommended. I forget offhand the name of the other one tho.

Recently used the Region Census on one of my regions. It is one of those gigantic regions drunkapple used to create. By default, the Region Census will show you the entire region, and it will take a while to do so, as there's a lot of data to process. Then, your cities will look very tiny. Still, the Region Census has a zoom option and you can choose where to pan the screen in order to see the best of your region.
