Those are very nice projects. I like especially Wembley Station and One Roxxon Plaza.

Thank you, I would've released Wembley Station years ago but the scene was corrupted for ??? but on new computer it again works and I can finish it. I cant remember the name of that guy who made that Australian station which had diagonal corner. So its like putting that clock tower on 45 degrees angle and into a corner.

EDIT: You can no longer download your files from Paeng's old site, but luckily they are all backed up here

These are pictures of what Krio has over at CB

    https://community.simtropolis.com/clubs/26-city-builders-website/cb-community/albums/groups/44-krioworks/albums/416-bats-by-krio

Some of them can be found on the STEX, I'm currently going thru the files themselves and adding pictures and the descriptions, etc

I would like to just upload stuff what BSC people modded for me years ago, so I've been upgrading those bats what I made with them back in the day. Though if someone gets permission from RippleJet (I guess this was the name) I can release bunch of diagonal, but out-dated stuff in a sec.

Although RippleJet hasn't been around anywhere in the SC community for years now, I can't imagine he'd have a vote against that. Credit him for his work and it should be fine. And after all, these still are your creations.

I would mod these myself, but PIM-X doesn't work on W10.

That's strange. I have PIMX to work just fine on Windows 10.

Have you installed the two things listed on the download page?

Hope this helps - the buildings look great!

After a small break, I returned to BAT and new Tahvontorni is almost complete. You can see that ground floor is missing few walls and then lights of course.

    metrobank22_zpsagbb4oby.jpg

So, what do you think? I always hate roofjunk, so urgh. And logo changed blue to red, because original Tahvontorni had red Alko-logo so red M suits better.

And trivia: Metrobank is a subsidary of Roxxon Oil Company in the Marvel Comics.

SimPeg and citybuilder-users might remember this years old BAT:

    kojak_zpsazkrogpv.png

Originally started it as Kodak Building from Rochester, NY but got bored for being autistic with details so I did what I do best: a look a like. Kojak won't prob be the name but atm its funny. Also yellow isn't the idea for glass, for some reason it helped best with measuring depth better than blue, green or red.

Oh, it was only the spire-part. I remember that Craig even commented one update "oh it has Kodak-sign now" then I forgot the whole tower for years.

I've just been seeing if I could retrieve Krioworks from the SimPeg Wayback Archive

Unfortunately it looks like it was never saved

After a small break from batting and hosting ST user Jazzmaster / Yoshiisland for a week I started a new bat because why not?

Logo is bad, but soon this is done. Atleast roofjunk looks better than usually.

Nice and generic look! Looks like a depression-turned-building from the Seventies / early Eighties. *:D I like the roof texture on this one a lot, too!

It might be my monitor, but the colour balance seems to be a bit heavy on green - a check against a backdrop of Maxis buildings should help to make sure and fine-tune if necessary. I also think the parapet around the roof could be a bit thinner . How about some rails for the window washer gondola on the roof? That should help spice things up. *:)

Never thoughth about the parapet's width because I rarely do buildings like this. Perhaps one meter is too much? And yeah, going to make window washers there like I did on Roxxon Tower.

But for colour green? It seems gray to me? Does my other posts have greenish tint?

Yes, apparently it was my monitor. On this other screen, it looks fine as well. In any case, photoshopping the building image in front of a city filled with Maxis buildings should give you an idea about the overall colour palette and saturation.

While I'm commenting - I just noticed that the middle one of the concrete columns that run down the front wall doesn't go down to the ground. Are you planning to add some entrance structure there that will cover the lower end anyway? If not, the building might look more structurally sound if it went all down to the ground like the others.

Grrr... the board software ate my post last night. OK, again:

The new roof with thinner parapet and more junk is definitely a step in the right direction, and with that massive entrance structure there at base level, the gap in the column makes sense all of a sudden, too.

Concerning the roof, I often have the impression that BATters who design their own buildings follow this process:

    • Top the building off with a flat slab
    • Stare at the vast emptiness of that flat slab
    • Randomly sprinkle some HVACs and other stuff over it, hoping to make it less empty
    • Find out that it's still rather empty and add some more HVACs
    • End up not knowing what else to do

I think a short Google Maps / Bing Maps flight over Manhattan or downtown Chicago could be really helpful here. For once, roofs are often not just one horizontal plane; they often have raised platforms and sunken sections. Sometimes there's metal bracing that crosses the sunken sections or holds up raised constructions. Moreover, some buildings have ridiculously huge HVACs - some with access doors like a kitchen cabinet, others with actual walk-through doors for maintenance access. A further common feature is defined footpaths for maintenance personnel that connect the most important components/structures. Those buildings with a window washer rail system around the circumference often have a "parking rail" for those gondolas, sometimes even a "garage". All in all, you can go pretty wild up there. *:kitty:

That roof access staircase with the sloped roof looks more suitable for much smaller building to me, tbh. You could totally make it a rectangular block, or even a sunken level with an access door in the side wall and a maintenance ladder leading up to the roof level. Stuff like HCACs or water tanks and whatnot could also be hidden in that sunken area, for example. Something along these lines could make the roof much more interesting and realistic to look at. Again, if you look at some RL examples, you'll probably get better inspiration than from my incoherernt rambling... *:P

And I still like the "B-R-A-N-D" logo somehow. *

    First of replies:

Ceafus: Thank you, but I'm bachelor of marketing and that logo is easiest way to go. And hey, "brand". :D

    TWrecks:

About BRAND, look at it. But for more important stuff: I took your advices and look at this:

    brand3_zps8lmy16zr.jpg

Next update will show the lights, but its easier to do stuff when there are no lights.

Would you like to mod my stuff?
