    I think so, but I'm not 100% certain.

    It's apparently the same query.dat in PlopAShop1to 4. Yours appear in the LM menu and plop as “blank CS$$” . Is that how it's supposed to be ? (they look nice, BTW :-)

    two other "is it supposed to be that way or did I goof big time and how?" -- and a half

    (1) there are two versions of Fenix and MacDo in the LM menu ; I can see that one is yours and the other the original, but I took out the lots and kept only the models & desc. How come ?

    (2) The JFMyers relots are supposed to be grow only ?

    (3) (and a half ) : the Sushi restaurant doesn't show up either in the lotplop or the buildingplop cheats.

    and lastly, a technical : what is a .sav file ?

    Yes, that was intentional. The buildings will show as Blank CS$$ simply because it makes use of BLAM Blank.

    1.) You will still NEED a lot file for the building to work and to be placed in the game.

    2.) The JMyers relots can grow because they were that way to begin with. They can be plopped using lotplop though.

    3.) Sushi shows up for me in lotplop, so I'm not sure what the issue is there.

    A sav file is used for lots that will either add transit enabled access or remove it by using the SC4 Tool.

    (0) that's a bit annoying because when you want to plop a specific lot and don't see the icon too well with old tired eyes at 2 a.m ... *;)

    (1) no problem with the lots files, they're there. :-)

    (2) yes, lotplop all, except ...

    (3) ... the Sushi lot, for me. I will explore further :-)

    (4) so I can shuck the .sav lot for Fenix and and Macdo without exploding the game ? Or are they absolutely necessary ?

    Wait, so you are only getting four of the restaurants showing up? There are eight total that are all found in the same pack on the LEX. I'm not sure what to tell you, maybe try to delete the related files and redownload them?

    I did not add night lighting simply because I rarely play in night-time mode. Would you like me to add night-lighting in? This would mean that you would need to redownload anything where lights would be added.

    Maxis streetlights are set to produce light cones automatically by night, but many (most) custom streetlight props aren't. If you want them to cast light at night, you'll have to add a light cone prop manually - it's precisely what I did for my IRM lots: a streetlight prop by gascooker + a light cone prop by Pegasus.

    I guess I never really paid too much attention to the thought of lighting up the parking lots at night! :D

    But, yes, this is a considerable thing that is lacking from my lots; So I'll be sure to go back and painstakingly add them over the next weeks.

    Currently: Viewing Topic: How to Use Underground Road?
     

    If you're using custom light poles and want lightcones, the Lot Editor contains a handy prop. Search for "nopole" to find the Maxis light cones without a pole. That way you avoid an extra dependency and they are automatically overridden by any light mod the user has installed (USL or LRM). PIMX for some reason does not include this prop, so this is pretty much the only reason I still keep the LE around.

    Also, note that the light cone is offset, so to make it appear correctly in-game centered around the light pole, you need to shift the cone South by 90 units (e.g. Shift+Down 9x).

    Actually a SAV file is not something that should ever be distributed.

    Well I didn't include it with my lots, someone else did instead. Hence the question.

    I only know about it because I was looking into some problems for another user and came across your comment above. I don't use the content in question, but the answer you gave on what these files are is simply wrong. Pointing that out is nothing personal, the intent is simply to correct the information, so that people don't mistakenly think they are something they should keep.
