    You have to select the relevant files on the left side of Reader, then right click to bring up a menu that has this option.

    Yeah, I still don't see it.... All I get after choosing the file is a menu list for merging, scaling, moving the model, etc.  Does it have anything to do with the clipboard? Sorry if it is super obvious, I'm just not seeing where to go.

    I've also officially decided to move on from Baco's Walmart. Time to pursue other relots.

    Sounds like you are using Model Tweaker. The instructions are for use in iLives Reader. You must first take a copy of the S3D files this way, BEFORE you open the file created by this process in Model Tweaker.


    Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

    The lot looks simple, but very logical and realistic to me - I like it. Some illumination of the parking lot would be nice (although this may be difficult), and I'd rotate those trees to different orientations at least. The way they are, it's far too obvious [Ctrl+C] [Ctrl+V].

    Thank you, I needed a second opinion on this one.

    By illumination, would parking lot lights work? Or is something further needed?

    Nah, some simple light poles would do the trick, I think. Thing is, it'll be difficult to position those - you probably don't want to have them in the middle of the lot, and there's practically no space behind the individual parking spots. So maybe it's simply not possible on this particular lot. Well, maybe if you added them right next to the building so they're not too much in the way.

    Well, I got to making a Dat file now and then I get lost. Where are the instance IDs at?

    Also, having a look at step #7, I'm left wondering what corresponding RTK IDs are. It's so obvious I'm new to this stuff!

     

    Have you thought about doing a mega restaurant pack like Wendy's mcdonalds and more? Maybe you try that! 

    I have given it some thought and may possibly do that.

    Some info on this can be found in this tutorial:

    But in essence that's all shown in the left pane of Reader under Type, Group and Instance. Each one is a 8-digit HEX ID, the RTK ID is the full ID made from combining all three together.

    New projects:

    A relot of Simgoober's mall. I've replaced Nordstrom and Hecht's with more commonly found Macy's and JCPenney using DK1 models. Obviously this one will take some time to finish.

    Maybe make lot bigger to add a target and shopping center with a couple restaurant like applebees or bob Evans and sonic or dq maybe with a gas station also!

    Maybe do SimGoober Texas Roadhouse, Cracker Barrel, and Chinese Restaurant, maybe the Bob Evans on here. There is also some Shopping Center that could use a update. Likie there.....

    This Walgreen needs a update bad. So does the Rite Aid.

    Maybe you could but this wolf plaza in a mega lot with Walmart with a goodys and big lots. Maybe.

     

    These next once don't have parking when I download it. Very nice looking tho. btw didn't mean to post the wolf plaza on here again lot is fine. This is just met for the Walmart if you make a mega lot.

    Sorry for so many. Anyways, There are very little shopping Plaza in the game that has Restaurant in the lot. So maybe you could make aome bigger and add, Kfcs or other etc. Thanks for you time. And youre doing a great job with the relots.

    And, yes, KFC and Wendy's are the exact same lot. (Exception of sign and building.) Still need to add vehicles to these two.

    4x4 Tractor Supply Relot.  This is not accessible via the landmark menu, but can be plopped with lotplop.

    4x4 Walgreens relot. The size of the lot has been increased from its previous 3x3 size.

    I've managed to shrink Arby's down to a 4x3 lot to match the rest of the fast food restaurant lots.

    You don't need to apologize for asking for me to do something. I don't mind suggestions, but I won't do every single one.

     I'm kind of in the same boat as nos17 with these files. I've messed around with them, but because I find the buildings to be ugly (except for the gas stations and Dell) I have no intention on relotting them.

    If you haven't noticed, I'm focusing on the restaurants....

    I may look at possibly shrinking the classic McDonald's down. Other than that, I'm pretty much complete with these. (Unless there are further suggestions)

    I still need to relot the Applebee's, Chili's and Friendly's and then these will likely be released between two packs.
