    What he meant is the rail is not high poly as in 'not too many tri's than it should be'. The rail itself has enough poly's to look curved in the vanilla game. So enough, not too many

    I've been getting reports of Catenary props not showing up on One Way Tracks. I have been unable to reproduce the issue, so I have nothing to work with as I am inexperienced with C#. Therefor I'm calling out to this (awesome) community.

    • I would like to ask all of you help me with finding the issue. I need you to load a city with:
      1. a style from Catenary Replacer ('No Catenary' excluded).
      2. One Way Track enabled.
      3. your normal setup. The more mods, the better. That way we can try to find an incompatibility.
      4. If you happen to have the issue, send me your output_log.txt as I am pretty sure there will be some useful information in there. You can find it here: Steam\SteamApps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data
    • I'm kindly asking co-author/veteran @boformer to point me in the right direction. I noticed you are active on Simtropolis lately so I thought this is the right time to ask. Comment in this thread or message me in private. Danke! 
    • I'm also asking authors of One Way Tracks @andreharv & @BloodyPenguin to support me by thinking of anything that was changed lately that might have caused this issue. The first report came in on December 1st 2016. 

    It might have something to do with 1.6 Update...?

    I have received files of the Italian Catenary from Raffaele Zarrella, but they need some work. In the future I will add many more variations, but I'm not feeling motivated until we can use them per segment, as I find that to be necessary when having multiple styles. Unfortunately I'm currently unable to code that, so I'm hoping someone else will be able to get it done.

    I did a test with the One Way Tracks and everything worked fine for all track types. (normal, dual one way, single one way, single two way)

    Do you mean you are experiencing the bug? Are you using a pirated version of the game or is it just a suggestion?

    Thank you! It's weird how inconsistent the bug is. Did you use the regular mod or the Friends-Only Test Version? Seems like it was the regular looking at your list, but just asking to be sure.

    This problem existed in the first edition of Catenary Replacer, not after the Natural Disasters was updated, then I used the steam game, using the same mod, my SaveGame using Catenary Replacer normal display Prop

    the use of PRR A / B will not be a normal replacement, the use of Dutch A / B German japan will be replaced

    In the new game only use UnlockAll, Catenary Replacer, One-Way Train Tracks [New version] test CR_PRR1A.crp is not properly replaced

    I've done some testing and here's what I found.

    Dutch A & B, German and Japan work fine

    PRR A & B doesn't have catenaries shop up for the two one tracks (Bi-directional or One way). With FindIt! I can find the One track catenary for PRR A, but there appears to be none for B.

    Update

    I fixed the issue thanks to your wonderful feedback! The fact that it only didn't work with PRR styles made it a lot easier for me to find the issue. No one who reported the issue on the mod page ever mentioned which styles worked or didn't work, so I never thought of a style-bound bug. The fact that the first report came long after the last mod update made me think something else triggered it.

    The issue?

    Prefab PRR1A_Data needed to be PRR 1A_Data... I made a mistake in the name when saving the prop months ago. I feel so stupid *:(

    The issue for me lies within the Lodaing Screen Mod and NONE of the single rail catenaries work for me.

    When i have all assets enabled it shows just fine. but when i check "load only used assets" in the options for the loading screen mod  the single track catenarys arent showing up. i thought it'll be because i have to place the catenary i want as a prop for it to be able to replace it (otherwise the asset isnt "used" in my savegame and it will be ignored at the save game load). which fixed it for the dual rails. but for single rails it doesnt replace it properly. it uses the dual rail vanilla catenarys always. as shown in my screen shot.

    edit: it WORKS for one directions single rails

    Yes it is indeed very strange. and yes it doesnt work for EVERY style. even "no catenaries".

    it will be replaced by vanilla dual line catenaries.

    it is an issue to me but i can live with it. i mostly use one ways for railyards anyway so it doesnt need to have a connection.

    and i kinda need the loading screen mod. cuts loading times for me in half.

    eventually i will use every asset i have activated but until then i want to use my RAM for something else. haha.

     

    PS: thanks for these assets and mods! i couldnt play the game without them tbh!

    Awesome mod. This really makes rails look good.

    Not sure whether it's known or a game limitation, but I noticed that the "no catenary" option, which I only used per accident once, still shows the vanilla catenary lod models. If it's a game limitation, disregard this.

    The issue you describe is known, but hasn't been reported by many people. There are a few things that can cause it:

    • It could be caused by Natural Disasters update, however I don't own the DLC and it still works for me and many others.
    • @boformer made an update some time ago to fix this same issue, which had to do with the load order of certain mods, which might not do it's job anymore.
    • There is a known incompatibility with one of the options of Loading Screen Mod.

    I don't know how many people have this issue, but we only have like 10 reports out of 25.000 subscribers, so it might be an individual case caused by a rare combination of mods. I am however willing to help out, I just need to find the time and find a way to sort out the cause.

    I'm using the Loading Screen Mod with "load only necessary assets", so maybe that's it. For me personally, don't worry about it, as I'm using catenaries. I only noticed this when I accidentally had the "no catenary" option chosen.

    Just for testing's sake could you try with that option turned off. If that fixes it I can put it in the mod's description and let others know.

    The LODs showing up is something that has to be fixed, but is fairly complicated and I would need help with that. As long as the props (poles) work I'm happy for now.

    I have this problem too. I am using the Loading Screen Mod, and I do have ND.

    Global, same as always. But now you don't have to go back to menu every time. Network Skins might get an update after the new DLC.
