Regarding the decreased ridership, that's something I've certainly felt. The weird thing, though, is that it seems to affect some lines worse than others, even when all the lines I'm looking at are entirely underground. One line I built basically got no riders at all, while another had a reasonable, if somewhat low, number of riders. Both of them went through all types of zoning, but the nearly unused line did have deeper stations on average - that might have something to do with it. Some of the stations on that line had no riders at all, and that was just with the standard vanilla metro station (autoconverted by MOM).

Either way, great to hear that a fix is coming.

in my city the line with more underground stations gets very low ridership in that underground section, while the other line with more above ground stations gets higher ridership, so it seems to be normal

The ridership issues that have happened with the metro lines in the metro overhaul mod have varied. For instance, I had one metro line seeing 700 passengers per week (with mostly underground stations) while two other lines had 350 passengers per week each (with mainly elevated stations) thanks to the elimination of bus routes. This is relatively low, and the ridership issues need to be updated as soon as possible.

I have a bug to report. When editing the properties of Underground stations, editing the height in any way immediately sends it aboveground. Picture attached.

I can confirm that I've also had the same bug, with underground tracks going above ground. Reloading the city usually fixes it, though. Usually.

I tried rebuilding some of my metro lines, and by using shorter platforms and getting the tunnels closer to ground level, I was able to increase usage of the lines.

Also, one question - I really enjoy elevated metros, but I find it hard to have two elevated lines cross each other. Does anyone know if there are any elevated stations at 18, 21 or 24 meters of elevation? I haven't found any.

When do we get underground tram stations? CO pls.

Hey y'all.  I have been spending a lot of time on bugfixes and optimizations (still am) but I thought I would take a moment and share (one of) the things I am working on at the moment.  Quad Tracks will finally allow your metro trains to somewhat intuitively overtake each other.  Trains that do not stop at the station will automatically go to the inner express lane.  This will greatly improve the overall flow of your metro traffic by allowing more of your trains to maintain a top speed longer.  You can branch one and two lane tracks off for more local traffic.  I have plans for the side platform version (pictured below) with outer stops, island platforms with inner stops,  and a main dual island platforms (stops on all tracks).  Sorry for the dim pics...They're teasers...yeah...

I thought it would be a good idea to bump this topic after a half year without any real news :P

So, is there something still in your pipe or has the 4-track-version been scraped? ;)

That's right, Bad Peanut. We have some goodies in store for you soon folks so stay tuned!  Special shoutout to @Bad Peanut for crushing the roadblock that was holding up the quad tracks (that corner offset thing). We are making progress every day.  Just a lot of work.  The main focus around quad tracks is express lanes.  There will be 4 platform 'Express' stations and 2 platform 'Local' stations where the inner 2 lanes are bypass only.  These stations will require 2 lines for local and express traffic.  Ideally you would connect busy neighborhoods with Express stations and sprinkle Local stations along the way.  At Express stations, cims will decide whether to take the inner express train or outer local train based on how many local stations are in between.  Sometimes cims will even take an express line to the next Express station some distance away, turn around and take a local line back one or two stops rather than toughing it out on the local line the whole way.  This kind of stuff makes me giddy.  I am also continuing to work on the ped path generator to improve the no ridership situations.

P.S: I will be posting a pic of the Express station later.  The Local station pic was posted a page or 2 back and it hasn't really changed much since then.

Some goodies you said? Humm - as @Bad Peanut did some fancy stuff with powerlines and elevated train tracks I guess I have a clue on what could be possible ;) I stay tuned I guess :D

A bit late to it - but does this mean that you're modifying the pathfinding algorithm? As far as I know, the base game does not include dwell time at stations when calculating which path is quickest.

Yes. The dot on the destination signs and in the front change to the line color you select.

As you probably know, there are also several issues which will be fixed with the upcoming update of this mod, including a bug where the zoning remains in place when elevated or at-grade metro tracks are constructed.

Ummm please stop acting like you're in the development team.  This is not a bug so it doesn't need to be fixed

I am super excited for the quad tracks. It will be really nice for many people to run express and local services over the same line like in New York, Philadelphia, and the north side of Chicago. In Japan a similar situation arises with the JR lines and the Fukutoshin/Yurakucho lines.

    Hey team!

Thank you for your effort :) it's great to see the outcome of the project - well done!
Anyway I think I found an issue with the mod:

I got a legacy city with "old" MOM tracks over ground. Somehow if I delete those I get a "NULL reference error" which is not that tragic as it just appears on bulldozing.

After I saved and reloaded the city and wanted to lay down some of the elevated MOM tracks I always face the following issue:

    1. I lay down a section of elevated classic tracks - everything looks great
    2. I delete some previously saved MOM 9.0 tracks which are above some street (also calssic - in this case 4-track bi directional)
    3. I want to lay down some new elevated classic tracks (again 4-track classic) above a road using "road friendly mode"

This results into the following behavior:
    1. Road friendly mode does not work
    2. No pillars are shown even if I select another type

Strangely that behavior does NOT apply on every MOM network! I was able to face it on 4-track classic style and 2-track classic style.

Somehow bulldozing pre-saved 9.0 tracks seem to break the functionality of the same type of network when it comes to pillars and road friendly mode.

I try to look into the log to find some belonging warnings or errors. Probably one can check that back on some vanilla save as I don't have one atm anyway ;)

this isn't really the best place to post as it was by pure fluke i happened to access simtropolis. Please use the steam page.

when you do check out the last few pages of comments as I've answered similar things from other people. AFAIK it's nothing to do with MOM.

If however you feel it is something specifically wrong with MOM there are steps you can take listed in the description that will prove it or not. Please read through them and complete.

    thanks

    Hi,

If you mean you don't have the official Steam version of Cities Skylines, we can't provide support I'm afraid.

If you purchase the official version of Cities Skylines on Steam and install the mod through the official Steam Workshop, it should work fine.

@Creater3d90, I do. It seems this is a consequence of you having the mod installed localy instead of subscribing it via steam. However, this seems a harmless warning; the mod still work as intended.
