Hey, it comes in handy when you have that coronary (sp?) you can just go across the street. Although, as you might know, there is hospitals that have McD's in their food court/cafeteria. Which in itself is kind of funny. quote>

So true so very true. And yes they have Mcd's in hospitals. Just watch Suprise Me for visual proof...ahh what a classic movie lol.

Here's another fun shot...apparently the police officers have a great place to eat (/or go) at lunch time at the neighbourhood restaurant convienently located right beside the police headquarters in town 9.gif

It looks like sims prefer driving in circles on roundabouts, thus creating huge traffic jams! 9.gif

Yeah, those roundabouts tend to draw cars that like to drive around it for months and years (sim months and years).

I knew that a local hospital here had the McD's, ironically, one of the best heart hospitals in the area too. But I saw it was much more common after seeing Supersize me.. It is quite the classic

My first post in this topic, but I "got a buncha crazy photos"

img528/7305/crossingssep12721153181421ib6.png

This one isn't crazy, but it shows how well Ryanb's suiside lanes correspond with the centre median without redrawing the road.  I think it looks awsome!

img76/1893/crossingsoct23821153420026qf7.png

Traffic jam, even with 5 lanes of traffic each way!

img283/5337/crossingsoct15551152490977nv3.png

Heres another heavy traffic shot, slow moving even with 12 lanes!

img159/1331/crossingsjul13661153066235vy4.png

Big interchange right in the middle of an airport!

img283/1263/crossingsjul21591152934628gz3.png

Another at the edge of a terminal!

img446/4213/crossingsaug12791153250829ki1.png

In front of the train station, a nice central platform

img181/6882/theinterchangejan6001150594201mv4.png

Big interchange

img181/2867/ultimatecommandcentreaug11251147810022pw6.png

Cahos! (made picture big to show it)  Reduced to 800 x 640 to meet board standard.  NOB.

img350/8238/ultimatecommandcentrejan61601148521019td2.png

Nice Roundabout

img294/5325/crossingsjul27661153066258dh3.png

Plane's wing over road means low clearence!

Whew!  I went overboard there, hopefully you enjoyed looking at some fun screenshots of mine!

Wow. Hopefully that "Chaos" intersection doesn't turn red in terms of traffic congestion. Now that would be craz-y lol.

It is red, almost every road heading to it and it connects to a stack interchange with a busy highway in the south. Heres another pic of that crazy intersection zoomed out (its at the top of the picture)

img527/7982/ultimatecommandcentresep10591146616971qs7.png

And another style!

there's a real world intersection like the one in the last two pictures in Houston. it's a mess at times.... it also has the most reported red light runners and the most reported fender benders as well.

Really prince_of_sims, I just played around with my roads and in order to connect them, i needed this intersection to match up the layout in my city.

The Local Cemetary, tired of slow business, decided to take things into their own hands by hiring a local drunk to drive the hearst.

Isn't it more interesting that your sims are commuting to the neighboring town on foot?! I thought this wasn't possible...quote>

Isn't it even more interesting that the sims here don't take the sidewalk but the all-green, bushy and dangerous-to-reach centerlane of the ave? (at least at the end)

and yes, thanks to the totally useless crossing of the ave in the lower part, it looks like a bird

haljackey: In this pic of yours, not only is it interesting that these traffic lights are not needed, but they're facing the wrong way, as indicated by the arrows!

haljackey: how did you create that 5-lane highway?! Also, where did you get that highway "X" crossing with all of the onramps and concrete supports?

Hi there pixelrage, if you want to create the 5 lane highway go to the website link https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=426849.gif

This will show you step by step how to create some of those 5 lane highways as well as interchanges, onramps etc.

Also make sure you have all the dependenciesto make each of them and of course enjoy!

For the 5 lane highway, I just took a one way road/RHW and a highway and raised the land around it to create a 5 lane devided highwa

Also, take a look at some cruise ship I found from a Japanese website!  It looks awsome!

img220/8536/crossingsoct29981154025462fe6.png

Did some digging and found the cruise ship.  It's by Somy.  I should have guessed.  Looks like something he'd make.  3.gif  I hadn't been to his site for a long time...

haljackey: that's what I thought, after staring at it awhile. I think the thing that threw me off were the palm trees in between the highway pieces, they almost looked like a part of a prop.

Edit: I still can't figure out how you got one of those half-highways to form a bridge, though 4.gif
