the only thing about jpg's is that they are smaller and load faster on slow internet connections or just overloaded computers.

And in photoshop at least jpg's can compress real pretty. a 800*600 compressed into jpg without major loss of quality in photoshop i noticed is usually like 150-200 kb. The same image in PNG format can run up to like 900 kb and higher.

I dunno, i have accumulated a disturbing amount of images in my imageshack account and I must be using a ton of bandwidth as it is...I know you get unlimited space but i still dont want to be rude or give them a reason to change their service, so i try to use smaller files since i cant do the truly polite thing and use thumbnails since im doing a cj which needs full size images to really get people's attention

Another case of sim stupidity (self-explanatory):

Edit: No more pic b/c it "magically" changed to another pic! How strange!

You know, I would give the opposite advice. Converting to jpeg format, even at 100% quality, sometimes means unavoidable loss of quality. Not as bad as 85%'s speckeled dithering, but still some color bleeding.

Also, I've never had an issue with IE viewing pngs.. and if someone has an issue with that the solution is easy: ditch the crap and get firefox

Well not sure about pngs viewing in IE, I do know that theres alot of images that I can't see. I what's so great about Firefox anyway, what makes it better and what features does it have that IE doesn't? Where and how do I get it?

Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.

Well I was playing SC4 earlier and decided to investigate my current city  "Sherwood Forest" to see what I could find. Luckily you are in luck. I guess I will never ride in the front car of a GO Transit Train ever again...2.gif

Instead of taking to access road along side, they drive into the flaming toll booth. You can'tt see in this pic, but the truck parked in the flames...

This frequently happens

I did not place the boat there. It "grew" when I plopped the building. It's nowhere near water lol

Yes, that is a towering wall of water. No, it isn't photo-shopped. I accidentally did this while messing with terrain tools and then decided to develop there.

Duke87: Have you counted how many planes are in your picture? I'd say it's at least 75 at first glance!

Here's mine: Since when can a stream hover in mid air? Hmm...

...I know, I know! Since the second you looked at the above picture!

It's weird, I can hardly see any of the pictures. There's a small box with a red X, and then there's some text.

Hello City2TheMax, a lot of the pictures (mainly earlier ones) probably have been deleted from the hosting site that they were originally from as they have been on their server for sometime. However try using FireFox by Mozilla as it tends to show images that Internet Explorer doesnt.

It's perfectly possible- I just have a ton of airports in that region.

The key is the lot editor. My landing strips are 2x2, my municipal airports 3x3, and my international airports 4x6. I would usually plunk at least a few down in any given city for the demand cap relief. Multiply that times 60 or so developed cites... and that swarm of airplanes is the result.5.gif
