I don't know what to say. Thanks to everybody who voted for me. Well, thanks to everybody who voted for everybody... otherwise, the Trixies wouldn't exist. And also a BIG thanks to everybody who supports me. And another BIG thanks to all the admins here... without you, where would any of us be?

And most of all, thanks to everybody who has helped me become a decent map maker... including, but not limited to:

the_new_simman, flamesrock, tijn21, lookinin, and everybody who has commented on my maps... without those comments, I wouldn't know how to improve.


And R.I.P. to the Mapp Squad... although it was short lived, it led to a better, more well known mapping community, and now anybody who needs help with maps and rendering has a forum section for it.

I feel like my acceptance speech was corny enough, so I'll end it now.

Well, I was nominated five times, and that's the biggest award for me! I'm happy I didn't win anything, because I'm positive Every actual 2005 trixie winner Deserves the trixie more! And I'm happy for them!

Well, just read them. Looks like SimGoober did a clean sweep of the awards for his BAT's. There were a few surprises in there I can tell you that including one member who I would never have thought in the world would get an award (not saying who of course).

But one question: What on earth do you have to do to get an award? Or even an nomination. Maybe there could be some loyalty awards. People that are always been on here and have been members for 2-3 years or so.

But still, congratulations to everyone who got a GIF medal! I would print mine and hang it on the wall if I had one! (I'm talking about the medal, not the wall!)

You have to make something that will make others to say Wow

The trixies (in my opinion) are a awards, that shows you, who was not better than others, because we are all equal, just shows us who is putting all his heart to the game, to the forum, and remember, not every trixie winner (no offence) is the true winner... the true winners are we all, because we support, help each others, we laugh, and we weep (well maybe not every day) here on st.com!  You can be a member for 2-3 years, and that is an award! The award for you is in your heart, that's what I think...
For example me, as I posted, I have benn nominated 5 times, and I thought - because I'm a SliPKnoT - That i won't get even a nomination... And that's why I'm happy, And I feel like a winner, and I am a winner... Like every other st.com member!!

Wow, this is so unexpected! And such an honour. I never would have thought when I first joined simtropolis that I would win a trixie! It is so great to receave the award Unique Region.

When I created Green Depra, it took me days upon days of work. I then liked what I had created and decided I might show some people at Simtropolis what I've done. And to my surprise some people actually liked it. I was amazed that I reached 17 pages earlier today, and to receave a trixie for my region feels fantastic!

So I want to say a huge thankyou to everyone who has nominated me and supported my CJ, I appreciate it alot! Thankyou all so much guys!

Simtropolis is without a doubt the most fun and friendly site I've ever been on.

I'm trying to figure out what I did to deserve it...I figure it was a mod of some sort, but which one of the many I have done? I'm always a little hard on myself for some reason. Let's just say I tend to feel unimportant a lot of the time. It was a long wait and a long read, but well worth it. I'm surprised that SimGoober took so many awards, though. I figured Jeronij would be clearing the board

Well, I want to thank those who did the work that earned the SHS the merit award.  I feel that I kind of slid in on that one as I haven't really done much in the SHS.

I'm glad that those who contributed to ST got recognized for their work for the site.

Wow, I got 2 Trixies, 2 of which were undeserved.

The only nomination that I got was for quality of posts, but it's great to be one of the thousands who post here everyday that are actually recognised, so that's a great honour in itself IMO.

 

Heh, if that's what you get for posting for 2 months after 2 years, taking a 2 month break and then starting again, I'll keep on doing it!!

I can't believe that for the short amount of time that I have been doing that (especially since it's only had one client) that someone would nominate me for a trixie.  I find it a little bit funny though that jmusshorn not only won the trixie, but he also won honourable mention for it too.

I know some people would scoff at getting a group award, but I am honored to receive this.  For those of you who aren't part of the SHS, you have no idea how cool it is to get to work with so many other creative members.  We had a little bit of internal turmoil when Compromise announced that he was leaving the site, but that's behind us now and the skies ahead are blue.

 

One thing that I would really like to know is what (besides the overall general conotations) it means to be on the Honourable Mention list?  Is it like you were a runner up for the award?
