Your assets are always a treat for the eyes, but I think you truly outdid yourself with those brick textures - holy smokes they look sublime!

Yeah, that brick texture came out quite nice, although my original plan was to greyscale and colormap the brick like with hudson.

Hmmm.... will do some testing tomorrow to see how that turns out.

I updated it with most texturing done, still need to tinker on some areas like the brick under the windows and colortone some stuff.

I love this thread.. I love your assets.. to me, assets are divided into 2 categories: Landmarks and fillers. You need the landmarks to give the city a special and unique skyline.. but you need the fillers to actually build the city.

For me, your assets are the best fillers out there, and combining them with feinbolds brooklyn and manhattan set.. wow, I honestly have to admit that the reason I'm playing the game is because of people like you. I bought the game when it came out, and never touched for 8 months.. as I didn't have a way to build what I was looking for. Now, I can't stop!

So in a way, I'm taking the opportunity to not only comment on your update (which is really awesome!) but also to thank you for making me get back to a game that I was probably never going to enjoy the way it was.. and now I'm addicted to!

Since you seem to be a big fan of American assets, are you already familiar with the collections created by Attercap (where is he?) and Prosper? They are just as good, and complement Darf and Feindbild's collections perfectly!

I was wondering where @Attercap has been lately too. His buildings are some of my absolute favorites.

There was another creator named Creepyeyes doing some buildings in the same style, but he/she hasn't posted anything in a while either.

Yeah, it's a shame Attercap isn't around. Maybe give him a poke on steam.

Thanks, I felt the game is not really visually rewarding and this is a thing Sc4 did so well, especially when you finally manage to get those lvl 8 skyscrapers. When Feindbold started his theme I thought this was a good theme to expand on, especially because I love this 1850s-1940s architecture period. Recently the devs have been putting out some buildings in the same style, shame that they still insist on putting ugly billboards on the sides.

We're getting to a point where I feel the theme is complete and I can go back to making more historically and visually more appealing buildings. Me and Prosper have a bit of a roadmap actually. :)

Here's a bit of mine: (guess the buildings)

Creepyeyes jumped aboard Attercap's "project 1900's" around the time Attercap was publishing his last new assets, but only released 3 or 4 buildings. So I think there may be a correlation. CE did publish other (thematically very different) assets since, though.

@Darf - do I spy with my little eye a few Central Park West addresses? (heart beat speeds up...)

@Judazzz Yeah.. got them all.. Although for some reason Attercap hasn't uploaded anything in a long time.

@Darf Holy cow! Those are fantastic buildings to model for the game! And yes, I agree with the fact of sc4 being visually attractive. Now, that's exactly the problem at the same time when you are trying to build something like Manhattan.. there comes a point where every building gets to level 4 or 5, and they all look the same!! That's why I love these threads.. you guys are changing the game, transforming it.. I mean, at this pace, we are looking at the next sc4 for sure!

Now, would this building be part of your future map?  145 Central Park West,New York, NY 1002, USA

The San Remo, I would love to, but I don't know how feasible it would be with the current poly count. These sort of buildings takes weeks to model and texture. I could do several tenements in that same time.

You are probably right.. at this stage time is key! I like the new building, and the textures look really good. The back part looks good, but I wouldn't extend the plants so high, looks like a lot of green for a city building.. but that's just me.

Is it possible to bring SC4 and SC2013 assets into CS? There are a few SC2013 buildings I'd absolutely love to see.

That looks really nice, but a 2048 texture is probably going to make it pretty huge in file size, won't it?

Ow cool my own apartments! :D Would be really great if you made this a growable though, there's still a lack of lvl 5 2x4s and this would fit so well. Besides with the new control panel you can make any growable RICO enabled!

2048 is 8-10 mb. You could probably get it as sharp with less, but you get a lot of repetition and no dirt decal like on your buildings. I really like that on your buildings, makes them feel really realistic.

I'm with Darf on this one: I've seen more than enough unwarranted use of 2048 textures in the Workshop, but in my opinion Prosper's buildings are easily among the best-textured buildings in the Workshop (all of his buildings have stunning and realistic texture work), so as long as it serves a purpose, I personally don't mind large textures being used.

It is definately time to say thank you! I mean, I wouldn´t play this game without your´s, Prosper´s, and Feindbild´s models...  And now I am addicted. :D

This new one looks splendid, another brick monster, downloaded an hour ago, and I only hope, that I can grow it during the next session. :thumb:

Thanks,  we keep on going. :) Here's a small asset I've been working on, Star Trust Officeshttp://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=703270953. I've been looking for a good example for a 2x4 office, but decided to try something new. So here's one of those old 80-90s offices with classic elements. Continuing on the Star Trust branch by Gula.

You can also have a look on Sketchfap: https://sketchfab.com/models/1ba1e55889fc43388ffb803f0e3bad59

It's been a while since I showed this one to all of you, but I've finally decided to finish this one. Might take a me a couple of weeks to do the texturing. Only thing left now is the crown to model.

What a lovely little building! I'm pretty sure it isn't one, but it reminds me of those small fire houses in places like NYC.
