Try putting the no grass mod if a folder name Z__ZNoGrass (two underbars).

It actually requires three underscores (Z___ZNoGrass) if you want it to load after the NAM.

Thanks.  Just checked.  Sneaky, it does have three.

So I've only noticed this issue recently as I have not used this particular FARHW 6S ramp since downloading NAM 31,2 from the LEX back when it was released.  I get the ##Intersection Placement String Missing## message, yet I am actually able to plop the road down (it's not invisible as you can see).

7fd26bec-6c9b-4c1d-8e98-f658d95cf65c_zps

I use the European textures for RHW but this particular ramp only wants to plop with the North American texture.  It also has a bit of a sliver of missing road texture.

As far as I know the ##Intersection Placement String Missing## issue is concerned it relates to a outdated transit plugin, conflicting plugin or an unsupported download.  I have ran Cleanitol and verified I have no conflicts and I manually sifted through my plugins folder as well.

I have also checked the pathing on this piece...it didn't seem normal to me.

729bf0a2-dc13-4394-904e-62e581df2526_zps

Sorry if this has been addressed but after doing a search through this and various NAM support threads I couldn't much on this particular piece. All I found was this on SC4D here and here as well.  The first link was never addressed.  In the second link Mandelsoft replied to someone who posted a similar image but I couldn't seem to find a relevant solution in his reply.  Is there a patch or something I missed?

EDIT:  Just incase anyone asks:

Yes, my game is fully patched and running the latest version of SC4 Deluxe
Yes, I downloaded the official NAM 31.2 from the LEX

Yes, I ran the installer (I have a PC) and yes, I have run Cleanitol.

This should fix the rainbow tile texture. The NAM Team intends to release more frequently, reducing the need for patches.

Is it the attached file by Tarkus at the top of the page?  I'm not registered on the SC4 Devotion forum.  I'm only registered on the LEX so I can't for the life of me figure out how to download the attached file  :???:

EDIT:  I just registered and got the file.  I'll tell you what though it took me nearly 20 attempts to successfully register.  That CAPTCHA was awful.  Not to mention people having taken my usual usernames.  I'm going to test the file out now and see if it fixes it.

UPDATE:  That patch unfortunately did not fix the ramp piece in question.  Thanks though. Hopefully someone from the NAM team could give me an answer  :lost:

Did you add it in the RHW textures folder?

Hi there. I would like to ask you a few questions about GLR

THE MAIN QUESTION

When I have layed the glr-in-avenue  and glr-in-road and tried to build houses that face this street/avenue - the houses don't want to face the streets (arrows in their lots look the opposite side). It could be not a problem if it was possible to turn the direction of where the construction lots face. Is it such a possibility?

AUXILIARY QUESTION

When I built the glr route all my city dwellers have switched from using buses to glr. There preserved only few short bus routes - mostly from residential areas to the nearest glr station. It doesn't look realistic.

Connected to this: is there a possibility in SC4 for developers to program a system of not automatic mass transit routes - where you define the route like in Cities in Motion?

For your first question, that's a side-effect of puzzle pieces. Here are two workarounds:

1) Zone before adding the GLR-in-avenue puzzle pieces.

2) Hold Ctrl while zoning.

For the second question, I am no modder, but that's how the game's pathfinding system works. And no, that'll require us to go into the game's EXE and edit the stuff there. That is, unfortunately, illegal and can mess up the game.

WRT your second question, there are no current developers of the game.  We only add custom content.  Basic changes in the game are disallowed because we have promised EA we would not reverse engineer the code.

You would have to use transition pieces to switch from NWM to regular roads to RHW.  Might take as much as 10 grid squares.

Some networks can be dragged into one another. It's obvious you can't do that with an RHW-8 and a RD-4 but Ave-6 can be dragged right into an RHW-6C for example.

Furthermore, for functional neighbour connections, make a regular neighbour connection by dragging and plop the Neighbour Connection Pieces afterwards if you use a network wider than a single tile. More information can be found in the RHW User's Manual.

Hello to you all. I have a problem with the newest NAM, or at least I think, it is the NAM problem. The thing is that since I installed the newest NAM I've lost the rail on slope starter puzzle piece. All the other pieces are there and functional, only 'rail on slope' dissapeared. I can find it in the menu but when I put it in game, it doesn't exist. Trains run only to that point. Any suggestion?

Finally using NAM 32 PR1, it's as stable as NAM 31.2. A couple of bugs though, the parclo QuickChange piece is broken, and several others. Ah well, it's just a release candidate... :P

Exactly.  That's why we're doing it this way.

And as far as the Parclo Inner goes, already fixed it for NAM 32-PR2, and in the meanwhile, stick this file wherever in your plugins to enjoy that piece.

That was quick, thanks anyways! :D

EDIT: And also, I could see some missing transition models in the transition tab. Looks like those are the elevated RHW transitions. Again, this is just a release candidate, so product may vary upon final release. But I'm just reminding you in case if you forget to fix that... :P

Those new intersection pieces for RHW3/2 are incredible, I cannot thank you enough!

RRW comes without smooth curves and viaducts as of now, is that correct or did I mess up? Thank you for the beta release, I'm pleased. (:

I was going to set up a clone account for testing NAM 32, but from what I've read and the fact that I am not using RHW at the moment, I think I'll just slam it in.  If necessary, I can always back it out.

Congratulations on your new approach.  I heartily approve of wide exposure testing of this type, and I recommend that people with little or no software experience should probably sit on the sidelines until more experience indicates some measure of safety.

If you are feeling adventurous, however, jump right in, the water's cold.

**SPLASH** Brrrr!

There's one advantage for you when you install the NAM 32. Since you don't want to use the RHW, the new Controller Compiler can compile a controller for you without the RHW RUL2 entries, which will drastically speed up your loading times! You don't load what you don't use...

Furthermore, you may want to check out the Real Railway Mod...

Best,

Maarten

Something went wrong there on your end I'm afraid. Either with or without RRW installed this pieces should show up correctly.

You need to select those particular options as well during installation. RRW on its own only covers the default Rail network.

See my post in the support thread over at SC4D.  There are problems with the compiler's batch file.  I'll see if I can fix it.  Otherwise, using the 'full' controller, things are going very well indeed.  New labels in the menu sure help to locate all the sins.

What exactly do I need to tick? I can only find one box relating to RRW and that one doesn't install any overrides for smooth curves and viaducts, as you say, but I can't find what I'd need to check for that.

Lost realist, note that some pieces of viaduct (switches, short curves) and puzzle pieces aren't supported yet by RRW... If you ticked smooth curves and viaducts for rail + the RRW option then you have it all

I know that support is limited but I have absolutely none of them, no viaduct pieces and no smooth curves converted to RRW, they are all still using the old textures. I guess I'll have to try a complete reinstall next.

Do you have per chance a railway texture mod installed? Rivit's, perhaps?

Good point, I think I might. I'll look into that whole thing tomorrow though.

You have to check all the items under the Rail options list to actually get those features.
