With the changes to the RHW system, we've included a Legacy Support file, such that existing instances will remain in place, coupled with conversion overrides, which will change your RHWs to the new specs when you click/drag on them.

So, is this true? Cause I’ve updated my status to say that the NAM 31 release is tomorrow.

No. We use the Mayan calendar.

Uh-oh! I think the Mayan calendar ended December 2012... ;) Gonna be a loooooong wait people.

I was under the impression that you have to be particularly special to get onto the dev team.  That honor would be like candy to me.

I'd love to tinker with the dev version see if i can improve on it given my lengthy of developing grid based games

EDIT its march 1st here where be link to download :P

I should also reiterate.

When we say "March 1st" for a release date, we mean anytime on that date between 12:00am and 11:59pm in the US Pacific Standard Time Zone ( UTC-8 ) the time zone for the states of Washington, California, most of California, Oregon and Nevada, northern Idaho, Baja California, Mexico, and the Yukon Territory and most of British Columbia, Canada.  We do not know the exact time we will be releasing, and cannot answer questions to that effect.  As US Pacific Standard Time is one of the westernmost time zones before the International Date Line, this means that, depending on the time of day, it may actually be March 2nd in parts of the world, including Australia, New Zealand, and many Asian countries.

Even in some parts of the USA and Canada, it may be 2 March when the NAM gets released, particularly if you’re on the east coast and the Eastern Time Zone.

Relax. As Tarkus (Alex) said, the release might actually be 2 March in some parts of the world.

Just to officially clarify, this countdown goes to exactly the last minute on March 1st in the Western US. The actual release may occur before it reaches zero.

The problem with the end of the 12th baktun is akin to the Y2K problem, or the upcoming Y2038 problem. I suggest you Google both. The Mayans were never able to update their calendar, but luckily, today's society has been able to transition quite neatly (after some vigorous updating, and save for much rioting) to the 13th baktun.

The sad part is that I haven't updated my Gregorian calendar to 2013; I still have my 2012 calendar up.

There's a closed process as to how NAM Team Members (let alone associates) are selected, but you have to be quite proficient at understanding how the NAM works, and you can't be in trouble with the NAM Team or the admins of both SC4D and ST.

Why download the public version if you can get the dev version instead :P

Why get a dev version when you can make your own dev?

Well, will NAM 31 be released EXACTLY when it's 12:00AM in your time, Alex?

Depends if his clock is slow or fast :P Unless he has an atomic clock in his house..

No. Many of us still use candles and sundials to tell the time.

Keeping it old school :D

I have a prediction when will NAM 31 be released in my time: 4PM. I set up an additional clock for UTC-8 for reference and 12:00AM in UTC-8 is 4:00PM in my time. But it might be released minutes, hours, or even days after that! :P

EDIT: Erm, my prediction didn't come true! :P

Don't think so.  It would be poor software practice not to support the immediately past release.

And don't forget, we're all working so hard and so fast that we're going at relativistic speeds, which slows time down for us.  So March 1st for us could be just about any time for everybody else.

Honestly, I'd much rather get it a few hours late than have to deal with some glitch; or even an annoying typo in the installer.  Don't rush...we've all seen the effects of that when Maxis does it.  And remember to still have fun while you're working!  ;)

Now I must go back to continually refreshing the BSC LEX....and revising what I will say for the first comment.  :thumb:

So, no new "secret weapons"?

I'm sure theres a few just we will have to discover for ourselves. They said theres a bit surprise for us in the new version. Not sure what aspect they refer to.
